Thinking Out Loud.....

Meece, your job sounds very exciting and I bet the day goes by fast because you are so busy. I am not just a receptionist, I also help all the departments in one way or another. I work with most of the microsoft programs. The CEO had name tag sign to put on my desk, it says,
Deborah Ryer
"Director of First Impressions"
Ain't it the truth, LOL
-
My son won his basesball game! YAY!!
Other son.......I'm ready to kill! Count me in tomorrow too, Sheila, for MH day!
-
Group Discount
-
You should call ahead for a larger room for MH day

I like Director of First Impressions! I always tell my kids (ok, I used to) that you only get one chance at first impression.
Linda - there is a rainbow - one son is pleasing you tonight, one is not. That is the second best scenario...
-
Deap Breaths Linda.
You are almost there.
-
I'm breathing. Have to turn the internet off now......
-

Good Night
-
Rain, I'm looking forward to meeting beanius. I would also like to meet you and the rest of our northwest ladies. Maybe someday?
-
Good Morning! Happy MH Day!!
-
Happy MH Day.
-
I will be missing MH Day to go first to the dentist and then to the neck guy again. Having feeling in my fingers seems to be important. Darn pinched nerve.
Yesterday, I saw a photograph of the "secret". A tiny little peanut shape that brought me to tears.
Chabba - I hope we can do so as well - I will be seeing Beanius next week up here when she has her follow-up appts. Maybe I will get to the coast this summer

-
Happy Mental Health Day......
Congrats to Linda's son and as far as the other one I know!!
-
I know you do Sandy! He's home with me today and tomorrow. UGH! I have to keep the internet disconnected so he can't connect. I'll be in and out!
-
-
Oops! Too big again!
-
Not too big when it is such a good message

-
Hey Deb...thats how big my head feels like.
(((♥LINDA♥)))

How did I miss out on the MH Day thing? Is it every Friday?
I got another spam today. This one was just a link to soem website for terminal cancer cures.
-

Good Night All
-
I didn't know. I am so out of the loop!
-
Perhaps we SHOULD have Friday as our MH day?
How is it to be back to work, Meece? It sounds like a great position for you.
Linda - You will have earned an extra glass of wine this weekend - it wasn;t so long ago we were denying internet access. Actually, yes it was....
-
I just got a phone call. My father is in ER and doing very poorly.
I will be leaving soon.
-
Oh no Sheila! I was wondering why you posted so early. I will be thinking of you and Dad today. XOXO
It's so hard to take away the internet. I have to completely disconnect the network. Kids today use everything on the net. If I take the PC away, he still has is Iphone, reg phone, ipod, Xbox, Wii and PS3....all which he can access the internet with. So, I have takenn all electronic devices and turned the net off. My other son is not too happy but understands. I sneak him on it.
-
Sheila - I will be thinking of you and your father and checking here to see what is happening. I'm sorry you have this going on.
Can you believe how connected our kids are? I mean, I am with my laptop and iphone but back when I walked 14 miles uphill to school, we had just one house phone on a cord. Imagine that
-
And our phone was a party line!
-
Oh! I had forgotten about that!!! I even remember my neighbor used to listen in on my calls and then tell my parents..... So is this progress?
I guess it is when I realize I couldn't have found my Breast Friends... -
Of course you walked 14 miles to school in the snow, up hill, both ways!
Kids are way too connected today. That's the way of the world, I guess!
Thinking of you Sheila. ♥
-
If only they would use their connectedness for good and not evil.
Sorry to hear about the internet troubles, Linda. I want so much to take the internet away from my kids, but they need to do research and homework online for school! Unless I'm standing over their shoulders the whole time they are doing their homework, I can't keep them off Facebook, etc. (easily, anyway.) As soon as I blink, they are sneaking on. Grrr.
Sorry to hear about your dad, Sheila.

Stressful week for me. Both kids had papers to do - papers they didn't do right for the rough draft and had to kind of start over with. It's so frustrating that these kids don't want to do the work they need to do to do well. And don't want to ask the teachers any questions. And resist any direction we try to give them. Last weekend I ran to a couple different libraries trying to find books DD could use for her paper. And this week, I couldn't get my DS to go to the school library during his TWO study halls to do the research he was supposed to do. He did show a revised rough draft to the teacher, though. But still. He should have done more research. Grrr.
On a positive note, DD gave blood the other day for the first time. None of her friends did and she was disappointed in them. Teachers were glad to see that she gave. She couldn't schedule it during her study hall so she had to do it during a class. They told her she had to ask her teacher. He wasn't planning on doing much that day, so it was okay and he said he might even give her extra credit. Other teachers were surprised that she could give because she is thin. One even asked how much she weighs. She's small in her upper body, but has a little bit of a tush and thighs, so she does weigh enough.
And she said that she saw on the Student of the Month board that she was chosen to be student of the month for music. I'll be interested to see what the teacher wrote about her. She's been chosen to be student of the month for gym in the past. Teachers wrote nice things about her.
Tonight is the Anti-pasta supper fundraiser for band. Anti-pasta because they aren't having pasta - they're having chicken. Middle school and high school jazz bands play. I'll be interested to hear DD play. I know she has a huge pile of music - but she rarely practices. Drives me crazy.
-
I feel for you (((LINDA))) & (((Chris)))
My father is holding on its own but he is a very sick man. So many different DRs were trying to stabilize him.
They were going to take him to ICU.
As soon as his cousin came i left the hospital. I was feeling faint inside me.
Maybe this is not about me but I'm beyond exhausted,
Hugs♥
