Over the last week everything I eat and drink leaves a terrible taste in my mouth. Finished Chemo in Dec 10 and Radiation in Feb 11 and had Oopharectomy April 11.  Has anyone else experienced this after a ooparectomy? Could it be the drop in Estergeon?  Sign of liver or Brain mets?  Ct scan clear in December.  Have not had a Brain MRI, but will look at getting one.  Thanks for any help from down under xx

Sorry hon, my first reaction when I saw your thread was it must be chemo related.  But I see you finished that a while back.  Have you phoned your oncologist?

    Take care,

    Sharon

Chemo can bring on long term GERD.  I didn't have it until chemo and I still have issues with it now and then.

Thanks everyone - will look into the GERD.  It has passed and I think it was to do with the anasetic I had a couple of weeks ago to have my port removed.  fingers crossed.

    Hi Kiakaha

I'm in NZ also. I've also got a horrible taste in my mouth but am only part way through chemo so that probably explains it.

You're lucky to be finished treatment. I've got rads and ooph to look forward to when chemo finishes in late September.

    See you around the boards

    Hi KiwiMum

Looks like you and me have very similar stats........  my hair started growing back on Taxol, found taxol a breeze compared to AC (for me anyway) , had a hard time towards the end with RT with skin reaction but managable,  Ooph in April.   Having DIEP in new years.  Gee sometimes I think - what the hell just happened lol, but then I realise it was the another earthquake lol.  Taste has got better thank-god.  Wont be long until you will be finished chemo and moving onto the next step.  Are you BRCA + or being tested?  I am BRCA2 Kia Kaha

Hi Kiakaha.  Sorry it's taken days to respond. I've only just seen your post.

I don't think I'm BRCA. I'm not being tested as I have no family history.  My onc wants to do Ooph when I'm done with Rads.  I'm 40 and concerned about what this means and SEs. How are you finding it?

Are you in Chch? I can't imagine how stressful and unsettling it must be.
