thanks, Joni, for that info. i'll be sending a card. i guess the roses weren't what they wanted, so we should donate, eh?to amer. can. i mean... 3jays
-
She was a card! I remember the first time I spoke to her, she said I sounded just as she expected. I told her that was funny, she didn't sound at all like I expected. I had expected a little southern belle accent. She laughed that wasn't her but said she could put one on if I'd like.
Joni is sgoing to check on a florist for us.

(((Mum)))
(((3Jays)))
(((Meece)))
(((Everyone)))
My heart is breaking for Lisa's family, Mum and her Mom, 3Jays sister, Meece. That's all I can say, I'm not very good with putting my thoughts to words but you're all in my thoughts and I pray continuously for everyone, especially those going through tougher times than usual.
Thanks for doing the arranging Joni.

Thanks ladies for your support

OK everyone. If you would like to send a rose or roses for a big pink bouquet for Lisa, please call Francis Florists 770-949-8711. Say that you would like to add rose(s) for $6.75 a piece to the Pink Rose Tribute-they will know exactly who that is for. We must have at least 12 roses (I purchased 2). If you prepare ahead of time what you want the card to say they will write it out and attach the card to your rose. The gentleman I spoke to said their business is doing the family flowers as well, so just saying Pink Rose Tribute will be sufficient. He warned it you try to do it on-line it will ask you for a delivery charge so calling is best. Joni

Apparently the flowers will be at the viewing tomorrow which I is 4-8PM tomorrow so please if you are ordering, the sooner the better apparently.
-
We stayed overnight Friday night in Douglasville, GA at one of our families that transferred there last year. Prayed for the family. Thank you Eph for letting us know all of this info. Am calling right now.
Praying for everyone. Really.
-
The viewing is @ 4PM Eastern & so depending on where you are in the country, keep that in mind when you call. I posted the info on 3 threads, and by my count there is somewhere in the vicinty of 20 something, but the original info got posted onto a couple other threads by others that knew her from different threads so I'm not sure what # we are looking at. Lisa's daughter will post a picture on FB, she promised me. And I will make sure it gets onto BCO threads!
-
I ordered three. We were both the third child of three children and we both had three children. It made sense to me.
-
I could only do one. The lady was so nice who took the order. So glad we could do this.
-
Together they will be beautiful.
They will represent our sisterhood here -- for all those who were able to get their order in on time and those who will learn of the opportunity -- after the fact.

The study message this week at church was on what we will be like once we leave our earthly bodies. 1 Cor 15:35-50. Comforting. The service ending singing this song from Mercy me.
"I Can Only Imagine"
I can only imagine
What it will be like
When I walk
By your sideI can only imagine
What my eyes will see
When your face
Is before me
I can only imagine[Chorus:]
Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel
Will I dance for you Jesus or in awe of you be still
Will I stand in your presence or to my knees will I fall
Will I sing hallelujah, will I be able to speak at all
I can only imagineI can only imagine
When that day comes
And I find myself
Standing in the SonI can only imagine
When all I will do
Is forever
Forever worship You
I can only imagine[Chorus]
I can only imagine [x2]
I can only imagine
When all I will do
Is forever, forever worship you -
I hardly knew Lisa from the boards, but remember when she posted about finding out she was stage 4 and everything she was going to have to go through. I felt overwhelming sadness for her then. On Mother's Day, I read the posts of her passing. I'm here in Hampton, VA with my DH staying at Langley Air Force Base. I cried as I told my husband about her. I read the obit (thanks Joni for posting website) and sent a rose. I HATE THIS MONSTER DISEASE. I pray for the family and the time they will go through. God has his reasons why. I have to trust that.
Meece, your song is very well known to me. I do know when Lisa took her last breathe on this earth, she opened her eyes and was standing before the King. How glorious. She is free of the bonds of this earth, pain, sadness and death. I think of the lines of this song:
"No more night; No more pain, no more fear; never crying again. Sing praises to the great I Am; We will live in the light of the risen Lamb." Lisa is singing in heaven.
-
Meece, what form will we be in Heaven? I have images of silver-like souls shimmering....but then how would they 'walk' with the Lord?
-
I think our souls no longer have bodies but we can still communicate with our loved ones that we left behind if need be.
-
Anyone watch "Truly, Madly, Deeply"? It was a great movie years ago. I wonder if I'd still appreciate it now....
-
-
From the way our pastor gave the message, we will not have our human bodies, but they will be transformed to be like His.
1 cor 15:49 And just as we have borne the image of the earthly man, so shall we bear the image of the heavenly man.
-
Okay, so what does the Heavenly Man look like? I have seen Him only as a light.
-

BCO.Org (breast cancer forum site) ladies sent this to us. each rose had a tag on it, with one of the girls from the sites name and a little saying. so beautiful and sweet
From Lisa's daughter on FB

Thank you Shelia for the pic of the roses. She was so loved. I haven't thought too far about what we will be like in heaven. It is nice to think about.
-
What a lovely tribute.
The florist did a very nice job of pulling it together. I'm sure it brought a little smile to those who were able to attend in person.
Thanks for sharing the photo, Sheila.
sigh.....................

I believe our appearance to our loved ones in Heaven will be their fondest memory of how we looked here on earth. I was with my brother in critical care after his near fatal motorcycle accident when he experienced a near death experience. I heard his end of his conversation with our father. Later he described the experience to me. When he described Dad it was as he looked about ten years before he died when brother was about 12 and they spent hours together every evening working in their wood shop. I was able to place the time of his memory by the amount of hair he described. He did comment that Dad looked young!
-
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing the final product!
-
Thanks Sheila, it would have been emotionally overwhelming except for the vacuum cleaner and TV trays in the background!
Chabba, thank you for that story, it's beautfiul and I want to believe that is the way it will be.
-
I noticed that, too, barbe. I think it was an impressive outpouring of love and shows how close we can become through the common bond of fighting Breast Cancer.
-
P.S. I am guessing is the picture was taken once they got home. They family had just moved several weeks ago, and I figure the boxes in the back were just some that hadn't been unpacked yet. To me it signifies how BC can totally interrupt our lives.
-
Jo you put it into very understandable words. Your did wonderfully!
I have posted this elsewher but thought I would put it up here tonight. DS & DIL are expecting their first baby next month after years of trying. On April 25th (at 32 weeks) she had an ultrasound and they estimated the baby to be about 5 lbs and the size of 35 weeks gestation. She is going to the dr every week now. Today the NP estimated the baby to be about 8 lbs. She will have an ultrasound next week, but with 41 days to go they now say that they may induce at 37 weeks if the baby looks close to 10 lbs. DIL is not showing indications of Gestational Diabetes, but I would ask for prayers for both her and baby boo that the delivery will be fine for both of them, and of course in His time. Thank you.
-
Just prayed, Meece and will continue to pray.
I agree Jo, you did a great job explaining!!
-
prayers going up for "Super" Baby Boo & parents (+ granmeece)
