Off Lisa's daughter's FB today:"
"My mom is so strong. She is still fighting today and is less responsive. Please continue to pray for her.
Please continue to pray for my mother. Her kidneys are not functioning and the cancer did metastasise to her brain. She is so strong and I can only hope"

I am sure most have you have seen this elsewhere but it is from 10 hours agao on Facebook.
"This is her son, Jake- unfortunately, my mothers condition has worsened. She is currently resting peacefully at the hospital and is in little pain. However, she does not have much longer. Send your thoughts and prayers to our family and her."
-
Matt is still in Japan. Drew is now hom from Afghanastan and in Arizona. My baby is local but working on Mother's Day. Mother had another surgery Wednesday and isn't back up to par, so Mother's Day will be pretty quiet...and lonely.
-
I won't be lonely....I'll be at work!....sigh.... MY babies are now mothers, so hopefully they get the treatment!

Is this the job you said was a commute?

Hi all, I'm new to this Forum. Though I have posted on other Forums. I love the name of this thread and the wonderful thankfulness, faith, and hymns that I have read from your posts. Such sweet ladies post here, with such strong faith. What a blessing you all are. You have encouraged me today.
I wrote this poem when when I was going through a difficult emotional healing a few years ago. Now after BC It still seems to help calm me in the storm.
With healing heart I recommend
The name of Jesus, faithful friend.
His gentle hands hold every cure,
This physician's name is sure. The name of Love, the name of Peace.
The Comforter til sorrows cease.
The Refuge in whose sweet embrace
I find prescription for his grace. No other surgeon cuts as deep
to mend the heart where secrets keep.
No other healer can employ
His richest medicines of joy!Faithroad
p.s. I always have cut flowers on my little dining table in my itsy bitsy apartment. I like having something alive and beautiful to look at.
-
WONDERFUL poem Road!! (Can't call you Faith, we already have one of those..eheheheh) I am a poet too, and can appreciate the spendid rythym you got going....
Meece any job is a commute, but this one is only 40 minutes. I didn't get the 2 hour (one way!) job. Thank God!

(((((Mum))))))
Life has a way of being so dramatic with juxtapositions, sometimes. I'm so sorry that your mom isn't doing well. I will pray that the doctors will find out the cause, and to ease any pain or discomfort she may be in. I will also pray that you will be at peace, and still be able to cherish this special time with your daughter. ♥

{{{{ Mum }}}}} the circle of life grinds on.....

(((((((Mum))))))))Alzheimer's sucks too! I know, my Dad is one of it's victim's. Hard to watch most of the time.

we all seem to be getting it both barrels. I called my sister, in /daytona, for an early Mothers; Day. we really weren't close till my mom got sick, and finally died, from COPD. My sister was told to go to the hospital; and is refusing.. i think Passive suicide.. but, it IS her choice.. its so hard to hear her gasping for every breath. ive been crying on and off for awhile, i don't think we'll see other before she goes. i don't think i can make the trip, right now.. praying God will give me a miracle so i can hug her one more time. prayers needed just to "Keep it together, ladies. im so glad i can come here, and share it... 3jays

Prayers for you ane your Sis 3jays.

So, yes indeed, we are all extremely sad & rightfully so. I also know that Lisa would really want us to continue to laugh, have fun, and keep the beast hiding in the corners. That said, I hope that everyone has a stupendous Mom's Day & even if you aren't a mom have a great Sunday & enjoy the beauty around you. We are strong, we are hopeful, we are SURVIVORS-no matter where you fall in the journey! Thank you for being my sisters & my friends, Joni
I posted the above on another thread, but want to add here that my God is able to do immeasurably more than I can ask or imagine. I imagine Lisa will soon be dancing at our Father's feet if she is not already and that my friends is something that I also long to do.

Posted on Lisa's daughter's FB 42 minutes ago: "I love my mom, Lisa Baumgart, so much. She is finally at peace in heaven as of very early this morning. She was the most amazing mother and has played that role for many others. Mother's Day will forever be a special day for myself, my family, and all those who have known her. I love you mommy."
"This is Katie, Lisa's youngest daughter. At 12:05 this morning, the Lord took Lisa into His hands and carried into heaven peacefully. Please continue praying for our family, but she is no longer in pain, and will forever be smiling down on all of us. ♥"

A very sad Mothersday today.God bless Lisa's family. All I want to do is cry.

It appears that Lisa's children are relieved that their mother is at painless peace. I know thier hearts are breaking that she is not with them but they know where she is.
When I read that she had passed I could not help but burst into tears. She and I had so much in common and although we never met face to face, we talked as if we'd known each other for years. We were 5 weeks a part in age, both the youngest of three children, both had three children, and they were all just about the same age although her youngest was a little bit younger than mine. We had the same dx, and the same tx up until this most recent bout for her. There were other things we had in common and we teased that we were long lost twins.
I remember when Saint passed, arrangements were made with a florist in her city to make a bouquet of pink roses. The florist made a special price of something like $10 per rose and we called our orders in directly to the florist. Do you think we could do something like this for Lisa?
-
meece, id be in on that, for sure... 3jays

Her last post was Feb 26th on this thread. I remember when she had a face drawn on the back of her head! What a card...sigh.

Thank you for the FB notification of our dear & amazing PM-Lisa's departure for heaven.
I shake my head in sorrow at how swiftly this final phase was for her. I know that Saint told me the very first time that I met her in person, that when it was "time" for her to go, she wanted to "leave" as directly as possible. Straight on into heaven's waiting embrace.
At the time I was so taken aback. Of course I have a lot more clarity now. Suffering is certainly not the way of our Good Provider.
Having been away for several weeks, it seems like yesterday that PM was here chatting among us, encouraging us thru our own concern over her condition. She was so brilliantly funny and had a personal faith beyond measure.
Meece. I can only imagine how this hits you. Know that we are all here for you and for each other...... in the best way that we can -- by holding one another tight, holding one another up in prayer.
I will join the pink rose brigade when you straighten out the details. I was able to find a local florist who was willing to sort thru the individual submissions and take credit cards of course, over the phone. They added individual 'cards' to each single flower with the givers name and where they were from -- or a short sentence or two of support.
Let us know when and how to proceed. I can't remember if it was $10.00 or perhaps less per rose? I know that when you explain the unique situation the florist will do their best on behalf of our unique sisterhood.
