Lost_Creek, DD healing well and so far is behaving herself as far as not doing too much.....I hope that continues...lol. DH arrived home last Wednesday and seems to be okay although a little on the quiet side but I fully expected that. Thanks for asking.
-
Hugs to your DH, Chrissy.
Good luck on the Eton Mess. It is really good.
Joni, I love rafting. We go to the Gauley River in WV. It is a 'timed release' river and you can only run it in fall. That being said, there are a whole lot of class 5's that scared the crap out of me but I did have fun any way.
-
Good morning you lot, I'm off to bed very soon.
-
Morning back at you Alyson! Have a good night's sleep.
-
'Morning Ladies,
I popped in here last night, then promptly fell asleep.... Joni, I'm about 7 hrs south of you, in the Sierras, (this place is only about 10 miles past the boonies)... That train trip I was talking about a few days ago is the daylight dinner train at Dunsmuir - which I think is about halfway between here & Medford.
Chrissy, I'm glad your DD is taking it easy.
More yardwork for me today; and I am still working on de-cluttering and organizing, so if it gets too hot, there's always work in the garage or shed to do. Grateful for the health to do it, but ugh.
BarbA, give the RO a the old heave-ho.
Take care all. Have a good day.
edited to add: Isabella, have you recovered from the Royal Gypsy Wedding? DH was quite impressed by the fact that you were invited, and were treated as an honored guest. Like 3jays, I see a gypsy baby shower in your future.

Day two of cold but I had two beautiful hummingbirds at my feeder this morning and sunshine outside. My garden is saying "just a little bit of time will go a long way and I plan on heeding the call.
Oh, I went back to work last Tuesday and there was this great cake waiting for me. It is my avatar. I still am not having luck posting pictures but you must squint because it is priceless.
-
How nice of them to get a cake!! Lovely.
Gave the RO the 'see ya' today. He fussed and wanted to see me in 6 months and I said nope. Done with you. So there. I feel soooo much better. He always caused my blood pressure to go way up.
-
I liked my RO, but when I said "see ya" in January it felt very liberating for some reason-still seeing BS & MO, but was happy to kick RO out of the cycle! Congrats BarbaraA
-
Yes, Joni, one down and two to go.
-
I think it is party time again. Barb - done one dr. and me getting my treatment schedule worked out so I go ahead with my travel plans this summer. I had my Aredia today so I am tired and need a party to cheer me up. Bone and joint pain seems to get worse with every treatment. Margaritas in the fridge for anyone caring to join me.
-
hey so glad your'e planning to part, regardless, AJ... Chrissy, praying for you and yours. i think we can award Isabella honorary princessdom; cause they tx her so well!!!lol... glad you sold the last pup, Isabella.. and still, you only have a week or two, and it all begins again!! you must have lovely breeding in them, for them to sell so quickly, though. they're a wonderful breed, to begin with,, beautiful, and way nice when trained! ill probably be back later, ladies.. still "under the weather" but staying in bed hurts too much!!! 3jays

for all the "SISTAHS" that are also "MOTHAS" hahaha 3jays

I hate that I don't get enough time in here to post properly, but I love reading the updates. As for the BinLaden drama, I too had conflicting emotions. I can't in my heart rejoice about killing someone in cold blood, even him. I get the other side, believe me I do, I just fear for taking such pleasure in anyone's death, ever. But, it's a gorgeous spring weekend here (in Phila) and it's Mother's Day weekend, and I had such a special weekend last week with my girls and I'm still glowing from that, so with joy and hope, I wish all of you who are mothers the most joyous of Mother's Days. For those who may not have reached that pinnacle, I hope you had mothers who gave you joy. And for all of us, I wish a pain free day, a treatment free day, and a day where maybe we can just ... BE. Love and hugs my sisters.
-
thanks, Marlegal.. so glad your time with your DD's and NYC was so great!! i feel the same twist with ben Laden, i just hope his death will help America win over terrorism. exactly the opposite of what they'd hope for.. 3jays
-
3jays, exactly...that's the best we can hope for. hugs sweetie
-
-
Thanks Lisa--I love that one!
Well said, Marlegal. I too feel the conflict of rejoicing in a death and feel that those of us who do so may be doing it too soon. I fear the repercussions that may ensue.
Hey 3jays. Sorry you're having a bad time and sorry about the MRSA again. Hope things improve soon for you and yours, and thanks for the "card"--guess I'm both a sistah and a motha!
Amyjo, I'm all for a party and ready for a margarita! Glad you got your treatment worked out with your travel plans. Summer's almost here, although I can't believe it. Anybody ever notice that time goes by much more quickly these days?
Marybe, how are you today?
Kathy

hey gals, up late tonite, so thought id stop by... thanks for the good wishes. i got cleared yesterday with a cat skan, and waiting for the cultures. in the meantime, the bathroom got scrubbed, and my hair( or lack thereof) got dyed while i scrubbed. i guess i CAN multitask these days... will be in bed most of the day, tommorrow, im sure! Happy Mothers Day to everyone, cause we all had a mother, if not kids, right? hahaha 3jays
-
AmyJo, we can have a belated cinco de mayo party all weekend. Here are some soft tacos.
And some more margaritas.
-
Barbara, they look wonderful, but I get thirsty very easily so just in case I drink both of them, I brought more for my friends!
-
Yum, Love margaritas!
-
Barb - Love the soft tacos and the margaritas are devine! I slept until 1:00 p.m. today and I am watching the pre-Derby show.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Mothers Day weekend.
-
AmyJo, A new avitar! Nice. Margaritas sound good to me also....hope they know how to mix them at the wedding tonight. It's open bar, but sometimes even though they say that, the selection is limited. Soft tacos look very inviting also. So far no SEs with this new chemo so I am thinking positive. Lisa, Because of you, I have put Brugges (is that how you spell it) and Holland on my bucket list.
-
Marybe, maybe we could go to Holland together. That would be fun. I know Tim will not go with you and I doubt that my DH would go with me. You and Barb have been after me to put up a new avitar so here it is. I thought with summer coming I could unbundle!
-
Count me in on the river cruise in Holland!
-
Tim taking a cross Atlantic flight!!....you got that one right. As he was leaving to go pick up some Popeye's chicken just a few mins ago, he says I am going to go get something for dinner, Marybe, do you want anything and I said No, I am going to the wedding and he said Oh. Seriously, once I get this passport, I plan on using it.
-
OMG, I joined Ancestry.com to try to look up a few things about my ancestors! The site is hard to navigate, I'm having a hard time keeping up with info I DO find, and then you have to try to connect the dots!
It all started with an email.....from someone in one of my family trees. Then it gets addictive, and like she says, you have a hard to keeping that old OCB at bay. Fascinating stuff you find out, though. And the old pictures of relatives and family homes - so cool.
-
You all would just LOVE a Holland River trip...
-
But don't forget Bruges, Belgium...
