    I remember!  We were just talking about those (family) not long ago. My nephews and niece were rolling their eyes  Smile  We used to ride our bikes to the train station and buy penny candy.  And...

    That reminds me, does anyone remember buying banana or root beer popsicles?

    True -- in the 80's, of all things.  It was all that was available when we bought our farmhouse.  I was shocked that party lines still existed :)

    Pam a heads up penny is good luck.  If I find a penny that's tails up, I flip it over so it's heads up for the next person.  I love doing that as an act of personhood, and I feel it boosts my good karma.
