I HATE TICKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
It is much better today after two days of antibiotics. What a beautiful day today sat out side to get some fresh air. I hope everyone has a nice weekend. God bless you all.
-
Ticks are a common problem up here in Northern Ont as well. After hiking in the trails we usually check each other for them.Last summer when I was in Thunderbay hiking. We did a tick check and I found one on my brother's back. Not sure why there are so many now.
Well it is a beautiful spring day here so I am heading outside to start work in my garden.Have a great weekend Ladies.
-
FINALLY the sunshine!!! I'm out of here too Mum!!
-
Sorry about being scarce this week, none the less, you all have been in my heart and prayers. Work is going pretty well, but I am pretty exhausted mentally by the end of the day.
I am learning a whole new computer program and trying to figure out what order I am to do everything each day. The woman who held this position retired after training her replacement. Her recplacement failed terribly, so they hired me (temp to hire). I have no one there to actually train me. They have someone from corporate call me once in awhile and she remotely controls the computer and runs me through things.
I had a really bad day Thursday, I just felt overwhelmed, and with the job being "temp" until they decide I am a keeper, I worry about failing. Friday morning my self confidence was still shaky, but then I just got back on the horse and felt very good by the end of the day. I just hope I can retain enough through the weekend to start Monday where I left Friday.
Leaving for Relay for Life soon. I try to come and check this thread every day, but it is hard to keep up elsewhere.
Love you ladies!

Meece...I was thinking of you.
You will do fine. With any job or anything new in life we always need time to get adjusted.
We love you too Meece.

I just spent the best day with my daughter today they had a tag sale and went to a baseball game. I thank God I didn't even feel sick day. Every good is a great day in God.
-
Spent the majority of my day today working in my veg garden area--needs major overhaul & refurbishing; new soil, etc....will try to do a little bit at a time, but was weeding from about 1:30 to 6:00. I feel like I've been run over by a truck, but I was very pleased with my efforts. It was a gorgeous day weather wise & I was inspired after attending a late morning memorial service for a senior saint from my church---he was a great green thumber & after hearing all the stories, etc. I decided to go to the garden--it was wonderful!
Meece, I hope that the powers that be don't waste too much time to come to the realization that you are, as we all know, a keeper. Love ya,

When we returned from RFL, Dh had a few things he wanted to get done. One was wash the vehicles, so I detailed out the inside of my car. Cleaned the carpet and upholstery. Then I washed all the windows in the front of the house so I could put the screens back on. I got on a roll so I weeded some of the flower beds and then got the head trimmer out and cleaned up some bushes, which lead me to trim some on the trees. So, I think that truck drove down and hit me after it got you, Eph.
I couldn't stay too long at RFL because of my allergies, so when I went to bed last night I took an allergy pill. Unfortunately I had an adverse affect from it and could NOT sleep. I may have got 3 hours total in the past 10 hours.
You are a keeper, too, Eph!
-
Meece, I'm pretty sure they'd rather have a mature woman who is trying than a young bimbo who doesn't care. Keep on keeping on!! You done good!
-
Thank you so much for your encouragement, Barbe. I look forward to this coming week so I can get things more organized in my mind. And practice what I learned.
-
new avatar for meece-IS THAT THE CHEETO TIGER???????????????

It's Chester Cheeta of Cheeto fame! He was at RFL Saturday.

This was on Lisa (PauldingMom)'s daughter's facebook this morning.
Update: My mom went into the hospital yesterday after having low blood pressure and high pulse which resulted in her falling in our driveway. She did not break anything but they found that she is having acute kidney failure. They have been running blood tests and multiple scans throughout the night and into the morning. Please keep her in your prayers and I will continue to keep everyone updated on her condition.
I will post if I find out more.

Hugs for Lisa♥

Prayers for Lisa for healing. Thank you for updating us, Eph. I have left many messages on her phone, but no response. I have only got piece of info from PMing her daughter.
Grace is going in for her last (hopefully) chemo tomorrow. It has been a long haul for Grace and her family and I pray that this WILL be her last one. Please also keep her in your prayers as she seeks the consultation of a Spine specialist on Friday.
-
Well, one more treatment after all. Interesting fact - had my first herceptin on Christa's BD last year and will have my last herceptin on our son's BD this year!!!
Went to try and get fitted for a mastectomy bra. Just been putting my prothesis in my regular bra. Hubby felt it was time to try getting a mastectomy bra. I felt more depressed about my cancer after my visit than before. They didn't have anything that fit right and the woman was just not interested in helping me. I think it is because I don't have insurance. After trying on 10 bras, I told her that I was done. She just said fine and left. I HATE this breast cancer and I am tired of this struggle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate that everyone acts like they care so much, but they have NO clue the frustration of it all!!! Sorry to bring this to the garden!
-
I think anyone working in that kind of a department should have breast cancer themselves. Sorry, just my opinion!!! It's like some of the "fat" stores I go to...I hate seeing skinny chicks working there. Doi!

Grace, you're in my prayers and I'm so glad you're almost done with treatment but so sorry you had a rough time "not" getting fitted for a good bra!
I posted this on the Middle Aged thread and it just breaks my heart.
This is an update on Lisa from her daughter's facebook page.
"The doctors are in the process of moving my mother to hospice. This morning she was unresponsive and no longer on fluids. I love her so much and am glad that she will not be in pain forever"
This awful disease is heartbreaking.

(((Grace and Lisa and Lynniea)))
-
I was heartbroken when Eph called me this afternoon to tell me of Lisa. I knew there was a reason she was not returning my calls. As I told Eph, She will be home soon.
Grace, so sorry you had to go through that. I get depressed bra shopping and I only had a segmental Mx. I agree with Barbe, you need to have BC to understand the emotional impact of shopping for a special bra.
Sorry you are not feeling well, Lynniea. May tomorrow bring strength and health to you.
-
My DR called this evening and said great news about MRI it showed that it was barely there now. Our God has done great things.
-
-
Yay God-dance your little ears off lynniea-congrats!
-
i can't seem to post my pictures what am I doing wrong?
-
lynniea : Praise God - awesome news!
-
Lynniea, YOU and God did amazing things! If you hadn't done the treatment that God put before you to help you, then the results would have been different!!! Give YOURSELF some credit sweetie!! You done good!
-
Thanks ladies for all the good post I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I know it is me and God But I would not have gotten through this without him.
-
Congratulations on such a wonderful report, Lynniea!
My orange flowers are for Lisa, they are similar to the ones in her avatar and God has many beautiful flowers at the mansion He has prepared for her. Soon she will be without pain and enjoying the comfort of Home! May her family be comforted in these difficul days.
