Wow, gals, thanks. My pocket is pretty full but I feel better knowing you are with me. 2 more hours and it will be over or close to over. Whew.  Next week is doctor week. LE therapist Monday, MO Wed. and the hated RO Friday. He is getting the boot after this. Period. The MO's vampires will suck blood out of me for tissue marker and other tests so those results won't come in until maybe Fri. or Mon. I usually call them and request a copy then go by and pick them up. If the mammo is good, I won't stress about the bloods.

Thanks, Amy, Nancy, HnS, 3jays, Marybe, Ginger and anyone else my CRS brain forgot.

DH is coming with me. He asked if I wanted him to and I said OK. This one is hitting me harder than any other appointment. Dunno why.

ALL CLEAR!!! Thanks for going with me gals! Your support got me through slicker than deer guts on a door knob (old Okie saying).  For the Aussies and the Kiwis, an Okie is a native of Oklahoma.

Now maybe I can sleep. Haven't had much for the past few days.

    Aaaahhhhh. Thanks again.

BarbaraA - knew you would come through with flying colors.  In Texas the saying is: "Slicker than snot on a brass door knob." Smile  Get some rest and relax for awhile. Enjoy the sunshine and pool.

I'm impressed not only with the good results but with the fact that you got them right away.

Lassies, I am very blessed to have a compassionate breast center where if you had cancer, they know they cannot keep you waiting. The radiologist came in and gave me a big hug. Here's to St Anthony's Breast Center.

    hahaha! Great health tip!

So happy it's over and it's all good! I know what you mean - my mammo and my CT scan were bothering me more than usual and afterwards, I just had to take a nap! That was really nice of your DH to go with you. My son asked if I wanted him to go, and I said no, but I should have said yes. I know next time if I'm feeling that much anxiety over a test, I will take someone with me.

Sounds like a huge sigh of relief, a nap, and a nice drinkie-poo are in order for the rest of the day!

I do think things move along very fast if our at a Breast Cancer Center.............I had everythng done very quickly too.  From the redo right up to surgery, and I am already in my 2nd Radiation treatment.................and today I told them my arm was swollen, and they already made an appt. with a lymphedema specialist for this Monday, May 2nd, and I only mentioned it today.......Breast Centers do move fast..........And my bone density was also set up by them, and that is Thursday April 28th..........all this business began on Feb., 15th so you can see how fast they move.....Glad it all went fast for you goo.

Glad I gave you all a chuckle.

Well, I slept 9.5. hours. Really needed that. Dicky, sorry about your arm. I am headed to an LE therapist next Monday. My bad boob is swollen so I think I have breast LE. Then Wed is MO then Fri is the hated RO (whom I plan to fire). Doctor week. Ugh.

My Breast Center journey went like this: Dx 4/30. MRI 5/3. Surgery 5/10. Re-excision 5/20. PET 5/24. Rads 6/17-7/9. Done. Nine weeks. A whirlwind of fear.

Hey Barbara! Just waiting for a little more cooperation from the world! I had to go to a GREAT deal of trouble to take one of my cars in (the traveling car) for some work, just as hard to get it back. 2 weeks later, something else went wrong!

Anyway, I want to take my son and he just found out yesterday he has a summer job with Georgia Tech, so I'm shooting for the fall. He was going in there today to meet with the big boss, and he got there LATE! I went ballistic - he said, like a typical twenty-something, "Is it that big of a deal?". I said, "I've fired people over that. Your father has fired people over that. It's a firing offense!" Damn, I didn't know I had to tell him not to be late! Where are their little heads???

    Barbara,

So HAPPY to hear that all came back well!!!  The anxiety level that I have felt leading up to these "anniversary" tests and scans has caught me by surprise as well!!!  I'm hoping things get easier the further out we are!!!

Catch up on your rest!!! Get these last few Dr appointments DONE and then... ahhhhhhhh... time to relax!!  I have a couple appointments left in May and then I am DONE until Fall!!!! Nothing over the summer... YEAH!!!!

    Tonight

Seaside, thanks. So glad you have the summer free.

HnS, kids don't really come back from brain dead until they hit mid 20's so hang in there.

    AmyJo, me too. He he.

I have now had two nights of 9+ hours sleep and man oh man has my attitude and outlook improved 200%. I suspect that scanxiety will be with me for many more years to come. In fact the mammo tech said to expect to be anxious for 'say, the next 15-20 years'.  I will  just go with it. Forunately for me, I am real good at compartmentalization so I don't really start freaking out until maybe a week before.

I really like that Indian Hawthorn, Amy Jo.  Our front yard plantings are limited to what grows in low light (lots of trees) and we mainly have azaleas and impatients there, no place at all for the daffodils I so love.  Do have some gardenia bushes, and in the back are hydrangeas, which over the years we have convinced to turn blue, as I wanted.

Tomorrow night is showtime for DD's school play, 101 Dalmations, the musical.  She's the music teacher and tonight was the dress rehearsal.  It went well but I think she's about on her last nerve!  Never again will she say, "now anyone who auditions will get a part", because she ended up with 62 fourth and fifth graders.  I kept 2 year old GS today and managed to get brownies made for refreshments despite his help!
