I'm 43 years old. Was diagnosed last summer. I have spent this year going through chemotherapy and radiation. Just now starting tamoxifen. What a year it's been. Taking it one day at a time.

I want to know who is like me and how your doing. Just hear about these particular kinds of cancer and have not really talked with anyone who is just like me. I would love it!

I am stage 11 A. 1 positive node of 17. ER PR + and Her 2 - . grade 3

Let me know how this is going for you!

Hi There:  I believe I am like you and your situation except a year behind. I just turned 46 a few weeks ago and am premenopausal.   I just had a lumpectomy with IORT last week and received my path results today.

I moved from stage 1-2 due to unexpected size of tumor, no nodes positive, moved to grade 3 from grade 2.  Like you I am ER PR + and HER2-.  I also have high K1-67 - 50%.

What did you do for chemotherapy?  I meet with a MO this thursday.  I am scared.

I am trying to take one day at a time, this ride for me has only been 6 weeks thus far and feel as though I am wishing the next year away.

How did you make it through all your treatment?

Hello, I am with you as well. I am about a year out and it has been hell. I am still going through reconstruction. I decided to have a PBMX with recon. My left tissue expander has been giving me problems so I am a boy on one side and a girl on the other. I wonder if I can go topless at the beach, would I get arrested? Anyways, I am ER/PR+ as well, HER2- and grade 3.  I am just living each day as if it was my last and trying to work out at every moment. I am eating organic and no longer drinking alcohol or eating meat. I have lost 40lbs which is good. Go away cancer!! Hang in there...we will beat this. You are not alone...there are many of us sisters out there at all stages and we are strong. Take Care, Julie

So nice to hear from others going through these same struggles. We know we are not alone! We are strong to handle all this! I did wish this past year away and I have 3 teenagers and hate to see the time fly by but was so ready to just get it behind me. It went by really fast too. I had the red chemotherapy first. It was the worst part. I ended with taxol. I never got sick one time. The meds they have now are amazing. I was tired but never to sick. I remember the time when you don't know anything is the worst. It so much better when they get a plan for you and a goal. Best wishes to both of you. I gained some weight with chemotherapy and trying hard to loose more. I am watching what I'm eating. No alcohol, very little meat.. Fish. I drink green tea, broccoli and soy milk which all have antioxidants and are supposed to be helpful. Also exercising almost daily. I agree it's very important to be healthy. It's a change and a new lifestyle for sure. I just wanted to visit with others that are dealing with the same type of situation and I appreciate it. We have the advantage of being able to take tamoxifen. go away cancer!!! We are stronger than you!!
