LOL Laura -- well last year it rained on the one day we had time for pool sitting... I think it was up around 80 during the day, though, so maybe one or two bullets

LauraGTO, if I remember correctly it was in the high 80's and 90's during the day although it did cool down a bit at night. But I don't remember wearing a jacket or anything at night. It was very comfortable.

Now that's the spirit, Laura! Wahooooo! I'm not sure I qualify for "old timer" status having only been once prior. But I am happy to help out any newbies! In fact, I may just work on a game or something to play at the meet & greet to get us all familiar with each other. Still working on actually getting there. I MUST find an economical way to do it. I have faith it will happen!
-
Estepp....thanks so much for the kind words. As one of the newbies I suspect I may one of the ones feeling a little overwhelmed even though I will be meeting 3 of the sisters I have been corresponding with the last year and a half. Can't wait to meet everyone, it sounds like so much fun! And yes we are all getting t-shirts for the piano bar!

-
Valerie - I live in Cottonwood Heights. If you are driving, I would love to join you on the trip and pay for 1/2 of the gas. I was also thinking of driving myself and was planning on arriving on Thurs night. Would that work for you?
-
Janice, quick question I wanted to ask. How is it riding your horse again after everything?? I remember you saying ow much you enjoyed it & I have a friend, not quite the same medical stuff, but having a hard time staying off her horse cause of the freedom she felt when riding. Is all healed up now for you??
-
Laura & Lilah..THANX
-
Good photo Lilah !!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
-
Susie - I ride when I feel well enough. There are times I am too fatigued - other times when I can't connect my brain to my body. Since my horse is young I have to be extremely careful and discerning as to when I ride and when I chose to stay off of her.
I know I couldn't have made it mentally through BC without my horse. I fought as hard as I could because of HER.
Saturday was her very first horse show. I had my trainer ride her because she was so nervous and uptight - very typical for her first show. Today I will ride her and hopefully again on Friday and Saturday if I feel well enough.
It is hard to describe the exhileration and pleasure of riding a horse if you have never done it yourself. You have to control your 1,000 lb horse and know that at any time they can throw you to the ground - hence 7 fractures last year from riding my horse. You could say that she is the one in control right now.
-
Janci - I sent you a PM.
