    HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Oh my goodness... That will teach me to not read the posts too quickly!!

I thought Ducky's post was about James' performance of Uprising because that was what Ginger posted the lyrics to in the post right before Ducky's!  And I was thinking, huh?? Took me a minute to realize her post was about Carrie's 'How Great Thou Art'

Carrie's performance... Beautiful song performed by a beautiful artist!!

Would have loved to have seen the Girls Night Out show but didn't see this till today...Frown

SEasideMemories............Sorry for the confusion, I do ramble sometimes, kind of like we're sitting face to face talking........My kids will say "Mom what the hell are you talking about".......I can change the subject in the drop of a hat, but forget to say "oh not to change the subject but"..............Old age, senior moment, call it what you want, but I'm real good at it.

CArrie Underwood was fantastic, but then I'm a fan of hers, but even at that if you didn't like her, you would have loved her after last night..........By far the best I have heard anyone sing in ages...........She is amazing........what a great show...............Also the woman who saing the Tammy Wynette son "Stand by your Man", was great too.........Not sure who she was.

Agree with you on Carrie, as jlo would say, she gave me goose bump.  I have never heard it sung better, she and Elvis' rendition were a tie.  There is nothing better to have than a beautiful hymm sung with that much power. She brought everyone to their feet, best of the night, all the women sang their hearts out.  I wonder if Carrie singing that hymm is on one of her C.D.'s?

Do brilliant minds think alike karenn333............that was my first thought when she was singing........then I though....Wow she should make a Gospel CD.  I have Elvis's CD of Gospel, and it is amazing.

Ducky,we really do think alike, I have his Gospel tape too. I play it really loud when I am alone in the car, singing away, and it ain't a great voice.  It becomes almost a prayer, when he sings it.  Carries affected me that way.   Karen

    Ducky,

No need for apologies!  Your post was just fine!  It was my reading posts quickly and jumping around a bit that got me confused!

Although my husband and kids also say I flit back and forth between topics with no warning!  I however, choose to believe that it all makes perfect sense in my mind and it's their problem if they can't keep up...lol

seaside- I thought the same thing about Elvis singing James song.  Then I thought, that can't be right.  That's why I asked ducky what Carrie sang.....at least I know I wasn't alone in my strange thinking.

Ducky- thanks for the reply about "How Great Thou Art"  I love that song.  Sorry I missed it.  And, I do the same thing.  I have a tendency to ramble and people have to stop me too.  Don't feel bad.  Laughing

duckyb1 - Sara Evans sang the tribute to Tammy Wynette "Stand By Your Man"
her new CD is out and it has "Stronger" on it which is slowly climbing to #1.  Love, love Sara Evans and "Suds in the Bucket"... LOL!

I dvr'd the CMA ladies night out special and watched... all the ladies and artists honoring them were magnificent, but Carrie Underwood and Vince Gill stole the show!!!! I haven't heard anyone sing "How Great Thou Art" like that since Elvis either and I'm only 47!  I remember listening to it on the record player with my grandmother.  Truly an amazing show and wonderful female country artists.

Back to AI, I can't wait to see what they sing Weds.  I'm really not familiar with Carole King songs... hope they do well, especially Lauren and Scotty!  I like James but I'm a big country music fan.

Talking about flirting... and body moves... Haley does that sometimes, or at least the times I have watched her do her thing... hummmmmmmm not a big fan of her moves, actually, makes me uncomfortable... it's like she is trying toooooooooo hard to be sexy....

Girl-Friend Haley:  SEXY is natural, like Pia, you don't shove it down someone's throat... it's you are either born with it or you are not!  JMO off course!  So... stick to the good sexy voice you have and may be later we will teach you a move or two about sexy... even the way we look Wink now!  Anyone of the same opinion?

And now... totally off the topic but still music related... my favorite ex-boss in the entire world sent me this... could you please help and pass it around?  This is his "kid's" band:

Hey friends!  Just a quick note!  As
many of you know, my band "The Hollow" has been involved in a huge contest with
about 10,000 bands from around the world to play Hard Rock Calling Festival in
London for 70,000 people this June!  Well, after many rounds, there's 10 bands
left and we're one of em!!!

PLEASE take 30 seconds to vote for
us at the link below, and please
forward this to any of your friends or co-workers that would be kind enough to
give us 30 seconds of their time to help send us to the UK!  If we win, we'd be
looking at a record deal, along with playing with Kings of Leon, Barenaked
Ladies, Rod Stewart , Bon Jovi , Stevie Nicks and many many more!

You're the best and thank so much
for helping the 4 of us follow our dreams!  We've been working SO hard for the
many of you that have been following us so closely recently!   (just click the
link below, and enter your email etc and vote!)

heartnsoul76... my ex-boss, Peter, was my other rock... my first one was my mom.  I continued to work during everything I had to go through when I found out I had cancer, to actually keep my mind sane, and he gave me the most pleasant work environment possible... now my supervisor and the big head ... were just A$$es!

aww...a cyber hog! He's cute, gotta save that!

I was just thinking...I would love to hear Scotty sing "Way Over Yonder" from Carole King's Tapestry album, or Lauren. Gosh, I hope she kicks it up a notch! "Smackwater Jack" for Haley. Whatever they choose, it ought to be interesting, especially for the guys.

Just read that Carrie's rendition of "How Great Thou Art" has gone viral on utube with more that 1.5 million hits in just 4 days!  It was truly a great performance!

I thought Scotty's performance was a little corny, like he is trying too hard. I do love his voice and seems like a great kid. I am not really into James' type of music, but he has got a lot of talent. The girls disappointed me compared to the guys. I know the girls can do better and I hope they do this week.

For those who have mentioned Adam Lambert, I thought his best performance on Idol was "Mad World".
