    Good morning Michele!

Just a note on that Lifemath. I checked it out again and best I can tell, they DO NOT take Herceptin into consideration. YOu can look at how different therapies affect your odds but there is no Herceptin button.

So, us Her2+ ladies should keep that in mind.

I'm around...just lurking. My surgery for lat-flap reconstruction is July 7. Seeing my onc about the rising estrogen levels.

I just need a break from cancer! Crap...I just need a break :)

Sue, we had tornados to the south and west of us. The piedmont is funny. We either miss it completely or we get hammered. I think it's the topography of the land, but we were lucky!

Alicia, what is being nipped on your hip??? Sometimes I need a picture drawn so I can make sense of it!

    Love and hugs to all!!

Glad you're safe Linda - it's Melinda I'm worried about - we don't get details of actual towns affected.

I guess I have to start thinking about recon. soon.  I see my onc on Wednesday and I am sure she will want to talk about it.  I want it, but just thinking about surgery again makes me ill...Who here has had recon.  What is it like..does it hurt a lot getting the TEs.  How about each fill.  How often do they happen...so many questions.

I am fine here, did not blow away.

I see plastic surgeon next week to talk about the lat flap again. I also get a PET scan next week and see Big Onc on the 10th.

Good luck with the nips Alicia!

HI Girls, Melinda glad you are safe, good luck with your scan next week.  Prayers all is GOOD!

Michele ~ they took a chuck of skin off of each hip and grafted it for my areola's and then she makes a nip with my skin pinching and stitching it together to make a nub.  I can't see them as I am all bandaged up with what looks like a teepee over them.  I am sore on my hips but doing okay.  Scars there are bigger than I expected.  Oh well.

Hope everyone is safe from the storms.

    Happy Sunday girls !!!

Alicia, couldn't they just make a nip/nub and then add  tattoo?  I don't know, I think I just want the breast with out all the extras..

Yes Michele that was an option ~ I went for the supreme nips.  I think I really did it more for my husband then myself, I could of left them nip-less.  But it is done and the last thing will still be tattoo for coloring if needed.  I still haven't seen them can't unwrap for 7-10 days or get my upper body wet in the shower.  Fun fun fun !

Hope everyone is enjoying Spring and feeling good.

BRENDA with all the storms please check in and let us know you are alright????

    Hi girls!

I am OK~~~~~~ I haven't had any computer use as mine was down. It is too difficult trying to type on my cell so I just waited. Glad all are safe from the storms.

I've also been extremely busy with my garden (looks lovely & producing well) and also with my 11 Rhode island Red baby chicks. Then, I had 5 more babies that hatched out on Easter Weekend. My Son & Grandson where here and they got a kick out of seeing the eggs hatch out especially being Easter. What a site to behold the birth of 5 newbies all with different colors these are. I named the 5, 1st born at 3:00am; was Re-Pete (Pete for short), then at 4:00ish in the afternoon out hatched Chocolate & Chip, then around 8:30ish pm; hatched out Silver & Sandy. I have 17 Silver laced Wyandottes coming this Friday 2 males and 15 females, then on June 3rd I have 7 Dominique coming 5 female and 2 male. They so to speak have brought me out of my shell and back to life. I enjoy taking care of them as the work is easy enough for me to handle under my circumstances. So, i am truly enjoying this. My first eggs will be laid around August. I will then have about 40 eggs a week and by September when the others begin to lay eggs I'll have bout 15 dozen eggs a week. Time to sell to my friends at a great cost and also I plan to give to the Senior Citizens at least 6 dozen per week for the breakfasts and lunches they put on for the elder people here in our County each day.

So, girls I'm just keeping busy and enjoying life with my bestess DH ever and my new peeps!!

I have my mammo due in July and Onc. visits in August. I cancelled the last two appt. as I didn't feel the urgency to go what so ever. I told them i was coming back until I had my mammo so there was at least something to talk about. I just don't see the need to loose time from work, because I don't get paid when I 'm off and yet it casts me money to drive the 120 mile round trip plus the money for the Dr. visit. If I felt there was a real problem then I would go...but not just to spend 5 minutes, be told oh your good, see you again in 3 months. NOPE, not this warrior!!

Love you all, to a wonderful summer (((((WARRIOR HUGS)))))

LINDA~ Congratulations !!!  I am so glad to hear the wonderful news.  What is zoladex?  is that like the zometa?  I hope it easy for you and doesn't cause you much trouble.

Nips are looking raw, but skin grafts took 100 percent.  So far so good.  Another week or two and then I'm in the clear as far as possibly losing some of the skin.  It is so strange to have nipples.  Cannot wait till I don't have to have them bandaged.  DH was so cute, he got up off the chair to see as they unwrapped them.  HE said WOW !!  I haven't seen nipples in 2 years.  :))))

    so funny.

HUGS girls.  Off to a dinner for Make a Wish foundation !

    :)

Yippy Skippy for new Nippys...It's funny about your husband and his reaction to the nips...I guess we forget that they miss those parts as well.

Linda, what is this new drug?
