suzwes - I forgot about the challenge but I did it!
an hour four days in a row!
Good Luck on the new job Meece.
How do you all make it to more than 10 points of exercise? Please help me by giving your workout routine?
-
Oh yes, suzwes, me too - actually didn't miss one day at all this week.
MaiTai - mostly I walk. It's easier on the weekend but the weather was so nice that 3 nights after work I walked for 90 minutes. Once I get out of the house I just wander the neighborhood. I did get in one aqua aerobics class (60 mins) after which I ran in the water for an additional 15-20 mins. Before the weather got nicer I also was having trouble making exercise points.
-
Yeah - I have Mai Tai and Patoo entered. I'll give everyone until tomorrow evening to let me know if they made it and then draw the winning person on Sunday (I'll have my 2 y.o. granddaughter do the drawing, she'll love it!
-
Mai Tai, I exercise on my recumbent bike - best purchase I made in many moons, it was about $148. I exersize in 20 miute sessions, 3x a day, also don't eat anything after 7:00 p.m., thats when I drink all my water I pick biking time during a T.V, program. I really like, so I have something to watch. If I get a real bad craving for food after 7, I bike again. Got the bike at Walmart.
-
Hope everyone who hasn't been feeling well is recovering nicely - and that you will all be healthy before the Easter Bunny gets here on Sunday.
Long holiday weekend here - DD & DS arrived home with cake!!
If it's confession time - I have had a dredful week with one major chocolate binge on wednesday, mini binges everyday, and then today I ate 3 Hot Cross Buns and a choc mallow (sneeky eating while I was out in the car) and then I had a large slice of the cake my kids brought home - I've been so bad I haven't even filled in my food diary and most of last week was bad too. Funnily enough it hasn't shown on the scales yet - maybe if it did I might cop myself on. And I have another three whole days of this holiday weekend to get through and it's easter - lots of sweets and chocolate everywhere you go!!
Roadrunner Friday Check in 3 pts
Fluids 7 pts
Weight Down (very surprisingly) 131.6 2pts
E-LAB Low 1 pt
Exercise 18 pts
Total 31 pts
Suzette - Tell your grand-daughter to pull out my name - LOL!!
Mai Tai - I do 60min free step on my Wii Fit Balance Board every morning, then about 10 minutes stretches and then 200 sit ups which take about another 10 minutes - that's my usual morning routine and then when I can I go out walking - but I don't get much of an opportunity to get out. I know it's a terrible thing to say but I absolutely loath doing the exercise and - as it's confession time - I often cry my way through it. Between the hated exercise and the fact that I can't (or shouldn't) have all my favourite foods I sometimes feel pretty deprived!!! I know I'm a sad, petty person.
Ho Hum - Well I still hope everyone has a great weekend!
Meece - Best foot forward on Monday - go néirí leat!!

Karen... You REALLY hit it out of the park on your first week!!! Congrats!
Patoo... Holy Moley on the exercise!!! Way to go!!
NativeMainer.. I know it's hard but, do try to not go THERE! I do know there is a really bad respiratory bug going around where I am (NY) so I would think it wouldn't be a stretch to think the same is happening in Maine!
O2B,
You are doing a fine job as leader!!!!
Suzewes,
That is the honest truth! The more points I earn, the more the scale moves in the opposite direction!!!
Hope all that are feeling poorly, will be on the mend soon!

Checking in for the Roadrunners
Friday - 3 points
Water -7 points
Weight - finally back down to 188.8 - 2 points
Exercise - 6 hours - 12 points
Extra point - I made it to my yoga class yesterday, well at least to the last 15 or so minutes of it. It is normally a 20 minute drive. Yesterday it took nearly an hour and a half to get there. One of the major roads in the area was closed for hours after a serious accident that apparently happened shortly before I left my house, and there was gridlock on all the surrounding roads in every direction.
Total - 25 points

Saw my PCP yesterday, she said I have an exacerbation of asthma caused by bronchitis, a middle ear infection a sinus infection. Now on thesteroid/antibiotic/codiene/extra inhaler routine. The first thing she said whan she came in the room is "You don't have lung mets. You've got something kicking up your asthma, bet you dollars to donuts." Does she know me or what?
-
NM - isn't it strange when we celebrate a sinus/ear/bronchial infection... I hope yours med's start working fast so you can start feeling better ASAP
-
Our aches are sometimes really sickness, and it feels so good to know you truly are sick. Rest now. BC surely changes how we react to body aches.
-
Hi Ladies, just want to check before my granddaughter draws names in a couple of hours for the drawing. I have Mai Tai, Karen, Patoo, and Ainm. Anyone else do the physical challenge this week?
-
Too much chocolate around, candy and the remaining triple chocolate birthday cake. Chocolate and carbs, my favorites.. I will be good, I will be good,.....
-
Hey everyone I forgot to check in this week.
I went Friday night with my DH and we bought a new washer... Whooopeee!!! (got a new dryer last year so I got the washer to match it). Then Saturday took my mom grocery shopping and then came home and cleaned out the laundry room and closets. I now have 3 large garbage sacks full of clothes and shoes to take to the Goodwill or Mission. Still have some house cleaning to do. I feel like I walked and did all my weeks worth of exercise in the last 3 days.
Since I'm late no points for me or the Rockin Robins... but I did drink water every day, exercised for 3 days and my weight stayed the same. I started my new Arimidex on Tuesday and I really am no fan. I am 9 yrs post menopausal and I am now having hot flahes again. That really stinks. Praying it goes away and no other side effects come.
-
Mimi--I think you get to log your points even when you post late, you just don't get the 3 ponits for posting on Friday, but check with the leaders.
-
Hi Renee, NM is correct. I'll log in your points when I get home tonight.
The winner of my little challenge (chosen by the lovely Carinthia-see picture below), is AINM!!! PM me with your address Ainm and I'll get your little surprise sent out to Ireland.
(Carinthia is wearing her Mama's Easter Dress from the mid 80s!)
-
Roadrunner posting VERY late - worked all day Friday and Saturday building my scupture installation for Prairie Fest here if FW TX. Yesterday laid around all day recovering. Working from home today, still recovering.
Weight - who knows?
Water - oh yeah - 7 pts

Suzette,
Thank you so much!! I have PM'd you. Your grand-daughter is a dote and the dress has aged very well!!
Spent the day in the hospital - my BIL is getting weaker all the time and having seizures - it's so sad.
I am having a very hard time getting back on the wagon - haven't time (or the heart) to cook or shop so we are having a lot of junk food.
Have a good week!!
-
Dear Anim, so sorry to hear your BIL is so sick, I know you must be exhausted standing by, My dad's cancer metastisized to his brain and he had seizure after seizure, it was heartbreaking to watch, I can feel your pain. Don't worry aboutt having a balanced meal, you are under so much stress, don't put guilt on top of worry. I'll be praying for him and for you. Karen
-
Dear Ainm,
You are going through a rough time, don't worry about getting back on the wagon. Very sad to hear about your BIL.
Thank you all for sharing your exercise routines. You gave me very good ideas. I will try to do better.
Sunday II saw a new low. Hope I still see it on Friday...It is the lowest I've seen since finishing chemo.

It was beautiful the last part of the week and I walked on the lakefront (Lake Ponchatrain) watching the seagulls, people fishing, ducks with baby ducks. Very nice. Too bad it's going to get so hot again. Then I'll have to walk the track at the gym. Jazz Fest this weekend and it will be beautiful for all who attend.
Have a great weekend everyone!
