Anyone watching Season 10 of American Idol?

Wow ladies............thought Iwas the only one who liked Scotty..............He is great, has never had either a bad or an iffy week...................I would love to see him win, but I'm sure it won't be him............everyone likes the yellers and the screamers..............Loved James story, but not so crazy about his type of music, although the night he sang the ballad, I thought he was excellent...............time will tell.
Lauren and Scotty are great together.......I said Dolly Parton, and Kenny Rodgers
-
I like Lauren and Scotty, but I agree, I don't think they will make it to the end. I think Scotty will do well outside of AI-he's got a very distinct voice, and is super cute. I think Lauren is too young to break into the business, but I could be wrong (look at Leann Rimes.)
-
duckyb1~ James is more than a metal head .. check this out
-
I admire and respect Scotty's talent but, what can I say, not a huge country and western fan
-
Thanks angel. James is a very talented boy.
i forgot do we have joint custody or he is mine?????
-
I don't believe I ever used the expression "metal head"............I think I said yelling and screaming.............Never used that expression in my life......................Don't even know what a metal head is, since I don't frequent that type of music.
-
Sheila, JOINT custody missy!
ducky, I don't think you did either .. you said "not so crazy about his type of music" .. which was definitely metal on the last show! I seem to have offended you which I certainly never meant to do.
-
Ok! I was surprised when Paul went home. My 3 favorite are James, Lauren, and Scotty. Scotty now taking the place of Paul. I'll tolerate any type of music, but no Iggy Pop.
-
I'll give my bottom 3 picks tomorrow. Good night to all!
-
Oh, Teka!
Why did you have to remind me of Iggy Pop? Oh, what a nightmare!
mimi - you're right, I love sharing AI with all of you ladies! It makes the show that much more fun!
See everyone tomorrow night!
-
I really think that Stefano is improving each week. So my bottom 3 picks are Casey, Haley, and Jacob. Tonight will send someone packing Thursday.
-
Teka, I agree with you about the bottom 3. I'm looking forwArd to this evening
-
Me 2
-
Was sorry to see Paul leave. I loved his voice and personality. Haley can leave anytime. But, Casey is my next favorite.
-
Angel...............not offended at all........sorry if I came across like i was..........I can of agree with JO-5......I like to hear the words too. As I said James is a real sweet guy, I like him a lot, and his famiy is great, but I just don't like that type of music..........I love music in general....I love country, love Josh Groban, love Michael Crawford, (Phantom, saw it 2 times on broadway), Pavoratti was my all time favorite, love gospel, and Rock and Roll (I'm a 50's gal), so there isn't much I don't like in music, just have a hard time with some types
However I loved Adam Lambert, thought he was so talented, and was disappointed he did not win.........
Right now my choice is Scotty....guess I just love his voice, his smile, his clean look............kind of reminds me of one of my grandsons.............It was funny the first time we all saw him, my phone was ringing off the hook with everyone saying "hey doesn't that kid look like Phil".
My daughter is taking me to dinner tonight, I just hope we get home in time to see Idol. Not sure what time it comes on on Wednesday.................Good Lord am I having another senior moment. Hugs Angel.
-
Adam Lambert was a guest on "The Talk", and is still a sweety pie.
-
Seyla ... Thank you so much for the 'family' photo of James .. Just love him ... However, I am a 'Rock and Roll' - Queen.
My vote is for the 'contestant' that I can listen to for 1 hour, or go out and purchase a CD .. I adore Adam have his CD .. as well as Crystal Bowersox 'Farmers Daughter' CD.

Iggy Pop ... Yikes, shaking in my booties ---just recalling his performance from a few weeks ago. Shirtless -- Ugh!
My eyes .. my eyes ...LOL
Vicki Sam
-
Lol Vicki.... I think there are MANY, myself included, that will voluntarily gouge their eyes out with a melon-baller if it even looks like we will have a repeat of the Iggy performance.
Since tonight's theme is music from the 21st century, I think we can rest easy that we won't be treated to another of his performances
Loved Crystal Bowersox from last year too!
-
Please, no repeat of Iggy, that was frightening! Karen
-
OK all.... Just over a half an hour till show-time and we are unusually quiet tonight!
Thought I might get things going with a bit of speculation.... This is from a "rumors and spoilers site" so NOT my own opinions... Just thrown out here to generate some discussion...
The article....
"Something of interest that may or may not affect the singer's song choices is the rumor that Bruce Springsteen visited the American Idol Top 7 this week. There is no word yet if Bruce just said hi and gave some quick advice or if he will actually be sitting in and acting as a mentor of sorts this week. How strange will it be if Bruce is in the audience watching?
Since the American Idol producers are being very tight lipped about what songs are being performed we can only speculate our own spoilers. If it were left up to me these are the songs that I would love to have them sing:
Casey Abrams - He seems to be able to do anything, but I would like to see him do Everclear's "Santa Monica."
Lauren Alaina - She would be a perfect fit for something a little country so I think she will do "Breathe" by Faith Hill.
James Durbin - He has done the heavy metal thing now, but I wouldn't look for him to change much so I would have him do Green Day's "Wake Me Up When September Ends."
Jacob Lusk - He will likely pick some over the top ballad, but it is time for him to lighten up and have some fun. Doing the Black Eyed Peas "I Gotta Feeling" would be a fun choice.
Stefano Langone - He will likely pick an Usher song, but I think it is time for him to lighten up and stop trying to out scream everyone else on American Idol. He should do The Plain White T's "Hey There Delilah."
Scotty McCreery - There are a ton of great country songs for him to choose from and I doubt he would waver from what works for him, but I think he would do well doing Johnny Cash's version of "Hurt." It would be a ballsy choice, but I think he could pull it off.
Haley Reinhart - She could do something with a rock edge, but I would like to see her hit a little of the country in her voice by doing the Dixie Chicks "Not Ready to Make Nice."
There you have it. These are my choices for what I think the American Idol Top 7 should sing. Tune in tonight at 8PM on FOX to find out what they sing and how it all works out."
What do you all think? I must admit... I am shamefully behind the times and anything that I might suggest from the 21st century would surely meet with an eye-roll from the voting teens!
-
I am ready!!!!!!!!!
-
Seyla.... YAY!!! Me too!

-
-

-
Scotty's song was very boring tonight.
-
Sheila I can't believe you said that about Scotty's song... I really liked it! LOL
Jo - 5 I agree with you and others I really like Scotty and Lauren, but Lauren is my definite favorite out of all of them!!!!
-
Renee...I like Scotty but the song didn't do anything for me.
