Follow up Scans

My onc is recommending a one-year follow up scan, which is better a CT Scan or and MRI? He recommended a CT Scan, but I'm always thinking of the extra radiation vs. the MRI. But, I thought the MRI doesn't show the bones as well?

    It's actually dependent on the individual circumstances.  Yes, a pet/ct has more radiation but it shows more.  I would assume that your onc is taking into account your particular type of bc, your age, and your medical history to make the decision and suggestion of preference.
