Anyone watching Season 10 of American Idol?

Jacob should check himself in the "mirror" while he is singing, and maybe he would stop looking like he's in pain.
Pia..gorgeous, can sing, but doesn't have the moves, but she has everything else
Scotty.........Adorable, how anyone can say he isn't one of the best singers on the show is beyond me........he has talent to the enth degree...............He is clean cut, and doesn't look like he just woke up and didn't take a shower or comb his hair.........I guess no one appreciates All American Boys anymore...........Go Scotty......if he is in the bottom 3, this show is fixed.
Paul.........has to go
James..........great job last night, didn't care for him, but last night changed my mind.

Lilah ~ totally agree about your assessment of Kelly Clarkson. She just became a different person on stage. I remember clearly, after she finished her song.. it was like she was coming out of a trance..and morphed into this shy humble person. Just love her.
And I am a big fan of Adam as well
... I tuned in every week just to see what he was going to do. (I liked that about David Cook and Chris Daughtery as well) ... very hard to live up to the incredible stage presence that Adam Lambert had though. He owned the stage each week.
-
I like all the contestants that are remaining...but nobody has me on the edge of the seat waiting to see what they will do next.
For right now, I think my favorites are Haley and Casey... just because they have more interesting vocals.
-
I am so bummed. I always record this and somehow my DVR was set to bypass this episode. I do like Paul so I am glad to hear he is still in it. I don't think he is the best singer there, but I like the uniqueness of his voice.
-
so sorry you missed Paul, he was just dynamite - sang Johnny Cash's Folson Prison. I get happy just watching him perform. I will be sad if he is in the bottom 3, tho I do agree with you, he hasn't the greatest voice, but it is surely unique.
-
Yeah, NSWTD, Paul totally rocked it last night -- I always liked him but his performance blew me away. Can you catch it on youtube or some place?
OK... first, I agree with those who said everyone did pretty well last night. I didn't see any real loser performances, although some were definitely better than others. My blow by blow:
Jacob. Much more control over his voice each week; great song, well done. Cool that the woman who wrote the song sang harmonies with him. As for his pre-performance comment, that puzzled me but I'm thinking he didn't mean it the way it came out. The way it came out actually made no sense.
Haley. I wanted to like it a lot more than I did. It was OK but she didn't do Joplin justice -- to me - but the judges thought she did so what do I know
She's still one of my favs and I'd like to see her do something by Bonnie Raitt.
Casey. Great control, great choice for him. Loved that he played the bass and showed so much control. Not wow, but good job.
Lauren. OK, I'm not being mean... what was with that unflattering hair? Gwen Stephani should not be styling people to be her look-alike. It wasn't flattering to Lauren at all. Back to business: good but for me it didn't measure up. But I think she'll stay; she's good and has a great fan base.
James. A big wow! Very controlled strength in his ballad singing. I never would have guessed that of him and he reminded me a bit of Adam L. last night. Sensitive, sweet, total connection with the song. He rocked!
Scotty. Well, for all who think he's great and don't understand why others don't like him -- I don't understand why some people think he's great
so remember there's two sides to that coin. I also find him arrogant, not bashful or sweet. But that's me. Yes, he has a nice voice. And he did a decent job with a new style of music and I give him points for that growth. But some of his movements were very awkward -- including how he held the mike a good chunk of the time -- it was so odd it was distracting to me. Overall, good on vocals, barely ok on performance.
Which brings us to.... Pia. Good on vocals, of course, and I liked that she really did get into a livelier song, but she really doesn't know how to perform. All she does is walk and move her arms up and down (or sometimes out). She seems too uptight to me. Even at the very beginning, when they all came bopping out on the stage with Ryan, and everyone was rocking and dancing a bit, she WALKED. Period. Didn't even try. I really don't get why she's so stiff but if she can't lose that she needs to get out of the biz and stick to singing at weddings. I don't mean to be mean, it's just how I feel. She's not a performer and does not connect to her songs or her audience, just belts things out. Belts well, but that's all she can do. There's a lot more to performing than just singing.
Stephano. Liked it and early on he did some songs that gave me chills but it's been awhile and I have no connection to him. I don't think he has a big enough fan base.
Paul.... well, yeah, totally rocked it! He danced without making me dizzy and totally nailed the song and had me dancing! Go, Paul!
My bottom three (not the three I like the least, but who I think will be in there):
Stephano, Haley (I like her but know others don't) and Jacob or Casey. I'd pick Stephano to go at this point but who knows what the voters will do. I really don't like that people can vote over and over for the same person but I know that won't change.
I've actually never voted at all.

PS, VickiSam, you around? You still want early results tonight?
-
NatureGrrl ... My Idol ... I've had a boout with the Flu... and today I drove 2 hours to Solana Beach, CA to meet several Sisters - from another board (shhhhhh) .. 1 flew down from Washington, PHd, another PA from New Orleans -- all battling breast cancer together .. How wonderful to meet these wonderful WARRIORS in person.
So last night I was hanging off my bed .. running back and forth to the bathroom .. sipping my seltzer water, eating my saltine crackers -- and found myself really enjoying .. AI .. Each performer has grown so much from last week .. Amazing.
Not a Scotty fan .. he is great country singer .. I would never have the itch, to go out a buy his cd.
Jacob .. is so good - -- R & B soul singer. I would like to see him mix his R & B, with a little Rock and roll ..
Lauren -- is so cute, I just want to squeeze her. But last night was not her best performance, if my memory serves me.
Haley .. Excellent
Pia .. WHAT no ballad? .. I did enjoy the up temple song. Love- Love- Love- Tina Turner
Casey .. may be in the bottom 3 tonight
Paul .. really put on a show last night
James .. So.... enjoyed his softer side ..
Sickie .. Vicki Sam
-
NatureGrrl .. Results .. please. I adore you .. You are loads of fun!
Bottom 3 ?
Stephano, Casey, Haley, Paul ... ?
-
Poor Sickie!
How are you feeling now? So cool you got to meet some Sisters!
I forgot - did Ryan say who was performing tonight?
I agree, I think Gwen Stefani better stick to singing - she made the girls look ridiculous! Haley must have held her own, because she looked pretty much the same.
Now NatureGrrl, you know if you don't vote you can't complain - haha. Actually, the only other time I have voted was when I voted for David Cook in the finale. I have voted a couple of times this season - AT&T makes it so easy with texting. I can see how the teenagers are in control...
-
I did not care for 'lamb' clothing. Pia looked like a she gained 20 lbs in 1 week ... Harley did not look very good ..
My fever is at 101 -- right now.
Surreal to have meet, touched, cried and laughed with fellow Sisters. I did warn them of my illness, didn't stop me.LOL Hoping they do not get sick ...
Vicki Sam
-
Way cool that you got to meet some sisters, VickiS! But I'm really sorry you're sick. I'm sending chicken noodle soup loaded with ginger -- good for the flu and good for your tummy. Unless you're veg*n, in that case I'll send mock-chicken soup!
Will PM you.
heartnsoul, I won't vote multiple times like a lot of people do, so my one vote seems pointless. And like you said, the teeny boppers are in control
And as silly as I am about AI this year, most years I barely follow it, except the year Adam was on.
In spite of my criticisms, I do agree that all the contestants did much better last week than they have been doing, I think they're starting to feel the heat of the countdown.
Big hugs, and get well, VS!
-
Everyone in later zones, do watch tonight. I can tell you there is at least one surprise in the bottom 3. No kidding. Otherwise....
-
WHO was the performer with no shirt on???????? I'm a child of the 60's and 70's and I was totally unimpressed and... actually turned off. Yeech. VickiSam, don't watch, he might make you vomit. Or LYAO
-
Sheila, thank you! Loved that moment. Simon was very humble, as was David. That's right, "word nerd" is what he was! You gotta love a sexy, intellectual artist!
-
!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!
-
Couldn't say it any better than that, Carol!
-
There is no bigger Adam Lambert fan than my twin sister. Seriously, she's fanatical! I'd love to see him and James Durbin perform together. I missed most of tonights show, but I caught the end.
-
I will just say I am REALLY Ticked off right now!!! I wont spoil it for the West Coasters.
-
Hey girls... not a good day for me... and I guess I missed AI because VAMPIRE DIARIES ROCK!!!!! TEAM DAMON all the way, yummy, yummy, yummy....
So, can someone PM me and tell me who went home? I would appreciate. Thanks
-
Well that sucked!
-
Oh!!!!!!
That about says it!!
-
Just one word... W
W.... Still... W
W!
-
I didnt think I heard right......what a BIG disappointment
-
... Holey moley that was a surprise!!!
Anyway... NatureGrrl, the shirtless guy was Iggy Pop a singer from the 70's, I believe! I do agree, that performance was a little painful to watch. He has not aged well and the dancing around with no shirt on... Well, there's not enough alcohol on the planet to make 'that' look good!
-
I am so upset, that person was my favorite, so classy and professional, thanks for letting me vent here.Have a great night!!! Oops, hope I did not give it all away for the west coast people, sorry!!!!
-
Well, the judges used the only save vote on Casey.
-
How could they let him take the stage.
-
How could they let him take the stage.
-
I don't think the vote-off was a loss, but that's just me. Not who I would have thought would lose tonight... but it's about performance, and voters are fickle. Nuff said.
Iggy Pop? Again, I was a child of the 60's and 70's. Never heard of him. Why was he on AI? Strange.
