Anyone watching Season 10 of American Idol?

My votes are on FB. This is the first time since Season one i voted for 5.
NBN...How are the adoption papers going?
Lilah Paul rocked tonight and he is handsome
-
Sheila I voted for 3 tonight and I usually only voted for no more than 2.
-
I wish we could shared the results all together tomorrow night.
-
just wanted ya guys to know i've been watching, then reading your posts. i was especially moved by james durbins chutzpah tonite. that was GREAT!! 3jays
-
Did someone say David Cook? Okay, I'm in front of the line for that adoption!
I also like Kris Allen. Yes, he was overshadowed by Adam, but completely different styles. Yes, I completely agree that James reminds one of Adam Lambert! I think I mentioned it earlier .. very similar but James without the glam! James made me tear up tonight and I Loved the risk he took.
Stefano sang one of my all time favorite songs so it's hard for me to critique it. I felt he did fine. Paul was fun singing Johnny Cash and Scott did well also. I also love seeing Casey with his bass.
Tough night for sure but Pia ... if you're going to rock it then you have to Rock it! She was stiff as a board and the choker around her neck sure didn't help her appear to not be stiff!
-
Love James Durbin 3jays!
-
Angel....David Cook is my son
-
Angel -- LOL re: that necklace not helping with Pia's stiffness!
I think all 9 of them did really well. When I think back on past seasons I have to say this is the strongest top 9 in a long time.
-
Hold on Sheila... final adoption papers for David Cook are in the mail... we will have the adopting party very, very soon... LOL
PS: I vote for putting Pia on jeans and sneakers and make her run and sing like a crazy monkey on crack.
-
-
Sheila... you have to teach me your animation tricks... right after you put David Cook to bed....
Good nite girls... see you all tomorrow. (((((Hugs)))), Always me,
-
Sheila .. you are a lucky, lucky woman!
NBN, I think those adoption papers are going to the wrong address!
Lilah, agreed .. a very talented group this season!
-
I put my boy to bed.
Angel i know how lucky I am. But adoption is not final yet.
OK I have a need to go on You Tube and watch Season 7 Finale. I was all tearful that night.
-
ahhh, that is my sign .. I can now go to bed and have sweet dreams. Thank you, Sheila!
-
I thought James was excellent!

Good Night Everyone♥
-
WOW! I thought everyone was good - but for once, I only voted for one because I think my other favorites ought to get plenty of votes. I had no problems with anyone's performance. Scotty really surprised me - he sounded great but not like his usual self (which is always great). I thought it was cute the way the girls ran onstage.
Do we credit the new judges with such a good Top 9? Did Simon suck at picking the finalists? LOL! What else could it be? The only other year that I think was this good was Season 7, where it was very tough to see them eliminated one by one but David Cook was just so outstanding. I remember the Top Ten would perform and they would all do great, and then David Cook would perform and everyone would all go "wow". He would take a song and make it better than it was!
Bottom 3 is tough - maybe Jacob, Paul, Haley (but they were still good!)
-
I can't remember who David Cook beat... was it that other young David? Archuletta?
It's a tough call for who will be in the bottom... I so loved how well Haley sang Benny and the Jets last week, really was so exciting; but this week's was just ok. Paul also did so great this week.
Haley may end up in the bottom three. I hate to say it but Pia is so boring I hope she ends up there too. Stefano or Paul for the third is my guess... or maybe even Casey. I'm getting a little tired of Casey (who I used to really like).
-
I thought tonight was great. I can't believe anyone would think Haley should be in the bottom three. I thought she did awesome. I am sorry as usual, BUT.....I still cannot stand Scotty. He's such a dork! Again, he should get a country recording deal for sure, but I can't watch him without cringing. I have noticed one thing with Scotty amongst my friends, you either love him or hate him. There doesn't seem to be any in between. I thought Paul performed good, but I think his voice is terrible! I still don't see his appeal either. At least he seems nice and he seems to have fun. I think the bottom three should be Paul, Scotty, and Stefano. I realize that won't happen, but I can hope right. I will say I think Stefano is a great singer and not bad looking either, but I am just not a fan. I love James, Casey and Haley the most for sure. And one last rambling....I thought Jacob did okay. I actually think he is the best singer there, but he didn't do it for me tonight either, so maybe he will be in the bottom three. I just love talking about AI on here. Sorry if I offend anyone with my Scotty dislike. Take Care everyone and Good night. Allison
-
Oh yeah and I thought Lauren looked hot tonight. My son is 15 and when he found out she was 16, his mouth dropped. I think she looks alot older.
-
I don't think she SHOULD be in the bottom three -- I like Haley -- but I think she may end up there because her performance was not the exciting breakthrough that last week's performance was. I honestly think they all did equally well this week so it will probably come down to sheer popularity (which is fickle).
-
i think James was brave to switch it up last night. its gonna be tough tonite to send someone home. they ALL did good last night.... 3jays
-
My bottom three ...
Jacob - who said that if he ends up in the bottom three, it won't be because he sang the song poorly, it'll be because America wasn't ready to look at themselves in the mirror. WTF??? To me that was just cocky and obnoxious! He is really very good but after that .. buh bye!
Haley - what did JLO mean when she said that she'd be around for a minute? I wish she had growled a little less on Janis Joplin's song. I don't think she captured the feeling.
Pia - boring. stiff. dull. If you can't Rock on a rock song then you need to go! She's gorgeous and can really sing. Too bad, so sad!
oh, but maybe Stefano in place of Haley, because he sang one of my all time favorite songs and did Not do it justice!
Lilah, David Cook beat David Archuletta. It was so sweet watching Cook playing the big brother role to Archuletta. I remember that initially Simon didn't like David Cook and put him down for being a bookworm and dull! David Cook can do amazing things with songs! It was so cool to see Simon realize he was wrong and finally come to appreciate David Cook's talent!
-
-
Angel -- I agree about Jacob's comment -- extremely obnoxious and off-putting.
I also wondered what JLo meant about being around for a minute -- decided it's an expression that she either got wrong or that was meant to sound nicer than it did.
-
Angel i posted this already.
Reposting it for you again. One of the best moments on AI history (for me)

David and David Season Finale.

I too am SO done w/Scotty. HOWEVER, since Day 1, he's been the fav to win. 4 REAL. If you follow dialidol.com he is always, always every week in front by a massive margin. Sadly, and shockingly I think he will win.
Fortunately, I think that will have zero outcome on James Durbin or the other true hopeful's career's. I mean, Adam Lambert's been on the show 2x since he lost - at least. To mentor and perform. I don't recall seeing Kris on - maybe once after Hollywood week to perform or something like that. While I love the show this year, I just wish FOR ONCE the real winner would win.
That just rarely happens.- Kim

I did not see the very first Idol...but have been watching each year since, especially when Clay Aiken was on. He is from Raleigh and now this season has Scotty from Garner, so I am very interested in the local kids making good. I live about 30 miles from Raleigh and about 15 miles from Garner. My husband's nephew knows Scotty and played baseball with him....says he is a great kid.
I think the new judges are very good also...didn't think I would like them as much as I do. Am looking forward to tonights program.

The thing that was so incredible about the first season was watching Kelly Clarkson. Every week she did the equivalent of what Haley did last week with BENNY AND THE JETS (i.e., she performed in ways that no one expected... hit notes no one knew she could hit... or sang in a style no one expected -- bottom line: she was constantly surprising the audience with her incredible talent). If only all the subsequent performers in all the seasons since could do that! The only person who has been similar is Adam Lambert... who also, equally, was a constant surprise and delight.
-
Adam Lambert set a new bar. for sure.
