Mumayan, I thought it was intentional.
Happy Birthday Coonie.
I confess the cleaning people are coming tomorrow for just 75 minutes for three of them. I still haven't put anything away yet. Their work from two weeks ago still looks pretty good to me. I am afraid that oif I don't go ahead and have them come I will not do it again for years since last time was what, 37 years.
I know, I know some people vacuumn every day. I don't even want to hear a vacuumn every day! And theirs is LOUD!
I will get through this, but I am realizing that I have all sort of self worth tied up in whether or not the house meets (someones) expectations. I don't even get this at all. I would never expect my friends to have this on their backs, I would say, go have fun, enjoy life. But here I am STILL guilting myself into not having fun.
Confession some of the things that need to be unpacked and put away are things I really like and I have not done them yet. I will ask this nurse counselor person about it next week when I see her. This is just supremely stupid of me.
I hope you are all having a fun day, seeing the flowers and trees begin to bloom out, enjoying some sun shine and looking forward to a good book or movie or TV program. Maybe even some good company and a nice meal, frozen is fine.
Hugs GInger

Another reason not to do housework - 2 birthdays to celebrate. Happy belated mum & coonie.
What happened to the warmer weather? Blossoms are out, but it is below average temps. A dusting of snow on Sunday threw me for a loop - I want to put my winter coat away.... Maybe this is more for the moan and groan thread...!!! Hugs for all, Nancy

Coonie!!! my dear dearest Coonie!! I am so sorry that I missed your birthday! !And Mum's as well! (On mum's one I must say, my computer was playing up, then my DH fixed it but haven't managed to get on here).
Oh Coonie, I hope you have a lovely time and flowers and chocs and the lot!! Big peachy hug for you my dearest Southern peach of a friend.
Sorry, this week has been a marathon, and It continues full throttle until our Mother's day "mothering Sunday" which is Sunday, when I hope to have a rest in bed in the morning. I have been helping at Egyptian day, Viking day (DS and DD school thingies) then to the British Museum with school in London, DS with me 2 days and swimming lessons with him and dd and tonight, the school disco! Then there is the Easter school fete on Saturday and Pool party for a pal of DS on same day.. and my current 80 mg/day dose of omeprazole is making me extra "dippy" and headachy, and just plain "on the floor" at times but back to hospital on Monday, so we shall see. I think it has improved things, in some respects but more investigations to come I am sure.ps: And cancer hosp still not back to me with cross referenceing of my January ct..I am not worried about that bit, but quality control people, really!
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Bunnies!! Mum, Coonie! Everyone, and the new bunnies too!!xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Got to run, run run.
take care of you all, Arnie be good to you now, try not to over do it!
Love hearing all your news Loveys..Barbe, Sharron, GramE,Kathleen, Faith,Gingerb, everyone, the list is too long. Wish EWB was able to pop in and give us an update, sending her extra prayers.

HI Shiny!!!
See you posting, nearly in 'real time.'
We are on the road well before dawn to get to an event that starts in a couple of hours. We were on the road for 12 hours yesterday, but due to intense traffic all leaving FL our progress wasn't nearly what we needed to get where we're going.
So off we head to Louisville, KY this morning. We will be late for setting up in the exhibit hall, but I don't have my presentation until tomorrow. This is the "National Conference on Family Literacy" and a new event for me -- so 'new' connections. Lots of potential, if I can stay awake.
This will be a 14 hour day at the minimal, as the place is open until 7:30 tonight.
Opportunity.
You have such lengthy days every day with the wonders.
Shiny, I'm praying that they can get some more pieces of your mystery sorted.

I'm on laptop in car.
Connection always a bit of hit & miss.
Love to all the bunnies in the bunny hutch -- new & mature (just didn't wanna say: old.)
LOL
Arnie, I long for an update on your daughter and her rehab. Have they straightened out her meds? Is she turning more into your daughter?
We will be in OH for 3 nights of lovin' my WonderPeeps and will manufacture some fun for their birthdays which are technically later in the month -- when we're in Europe. Their daddy continues to be able to report in from Iraq. Continued prayers for that whole story would be awesome.
Speaking of reports.
My neice Kelly, (she had the several surgeries for thyroid cancer at the end of last year) is now ENGAGED!!!! Wedding taking shape for late this summer!!!! I spoke w my mom at length last night & everyone is so excited for her/them!!!!!! It's fantastic to share such thrilling & upbeat news on her behalf -- as so many of you held her up during her time of need.

Wow! Lot's o' busy bunnies!!! Shiny and Faith, how DO you two DO it??? I can only do ONE thing a day. If I'm going to work - that's it. Nothing else! The FM really knocks me to the curb. I sometimes try to do more, but then end up having to have DH drop me off at home....sigh. Like my day off on Tuesday, we had a doc appt and then went to a home improvement store to pick up more tile - so not a wandering arround kind of visit (so that's 2 things!!), and then headed back into town to do some other chores and I just collapsed and said take me home. I HATE it when the FM beats me down like that!! There is so much out there to do and I want to do some of it!!!!!
-
Hey ya all...
Update.... dd is doing well...and yes, my dauther is back!!!!! Whoop---eeee :-) She's still dealing with alot of pain of course, but they have managed to get her pain medications to a point where she's herself again... I've been there every day this week from 7:45 til' 7:00 p.m. Taking care of chores and the kidlets... My sister came on Friday to take my shift so that I could have my mamogram... good new there too. Don't have to go back in 6 months...I can wait a year!!!!
After leaving their house at 1:00 p.m. yesterday I came home and had a nice 4 hour nap...hehehed dh made chicken parmasean and we had a "really quiet evening" Was so nice...
I still have to go back all of next week, but it's my priviledge to help out. Love that little family.
Congrats on your niece's engagement Faith!!!! How awesome is that???? Safe travels to you and dh.
Shiny...I don't know how you do it with two wee ones...this last 3 weeks has made me appreciate this time of life, to come home to a quiet house. You are an AWESOME momma!!!!
To all the rest of you dustbunnies...hope you have a wonderful Sunday and no housecleaning!!!! lol dh and I are gonna straighten a wee bit this a.m., then take the rest of the day to REST!

Good to hear you have DD back. She's away for rehab, right? I always wondered how families could handle that.
Faith, I too, am happy for Kelly!
-
Glad to hear all the bunny news. Arnie, great about your DD's improvement. I had a mammo this week too. The relief is palatable isn't it?
-
Hi there Bunnies, or should I say "good evening", kiddos are in bed, DH has been working all hours, but we are sitting now side by side with our laptops, he working, me resting and visiting with you all and glad to see all the good news from some of my favorite bunnies.
Barbe... my day is quite full on and "bitty", that is especially with taking DS out from school for swims etc but I can assure you, I feel like colapsing several times a day many days, and I do head for the couch and do just that in bites alot, and at night, I am flat out most nights, after the kiddywinks are in bed, I pop some pain meds and do nothing that requires brains or even standing up, so I completely understand what you mean about doing the 1 thing, then zonked, honest. And I know what you mean about wanting to do much more then you physically can. big hug my dear Barbe. BTW:I read what you wrote in "hug from Yan" and what you did. beautiful.
Sharon daaaling. Hope to catch up with you soon. Can you please give a fab hug from me to fabulous Kona when you see her next. I wrote on her thread and it got zapped, must get back to that, but gosh she is such an amazing person.
xx thank God for all the lovely news on this page. Peachy vibes coming you way bunnies.

Arnie!!! So thankful your girl is improving. I know it's been such a stressful time for the whole family. Still sending up those prayers for you Arniebelle and all the Arnie's too. Keep us posted on how she's feeling and on how you're doing:)
Shiny---you're really a robot?? right?? am I right??? a robot??? hmmmmmm must be a robot 'cause there ain't a day under God's blue skies that I can keep up with you. pheewwwwwwwww but you sure are a wondermous Mum, and for that I'm sure your DH and kiddos are forever grateful!!! One day at a time. I sent you a PM back.
Hey Barbe--when you talk about FM, are you referring to Fibromyalgia? I was diagnosed about 12+ years ago. Somedays there are no problems at all, then other days (usually high stress ones) I feel like I've been run over by a mac truck, stood up and then got hit again with the sanitation truck!!! The last few weeks, I've been feeling that sanitation truck hit in the worse way. My doc put me on something to sleep (says sleep is VERY) important for FM, put me on anti-depressant, 3 muscle relaxes per day, but I wouldn't be able to walk if I took that, so I only take 1 or 2 sometimes at night. And now with the pain, she transferred me to to Tramadal (I think??). Was taking Darvarcet and it seemed to work better. Anywhooooo nobody wants to hear me complain.........hehe so I'll just give all of you a BIGGGGG OLLLLLLLLE BUNNNNNNNY HUUUUUGGGGGGG!!!!!
-
For Gingerbrew especially- I think I'm fully recovered medically, but the only time I get any chores or horrible paperwork done is when the deadline is absolutely looming (bill is due, sink is full ...) or sometimes on weekends. I know what you mean with TV or internet filling-in the spaces of time in the evening. My teen son no longer needs help with school work which used to occupy evening time. We watch Animal Planet and Food Network together (Hmm, we used to read aloud in the evening, something wrong with this picture...) But the family thing is good and the house thing not so important (admittedly, never was.) Gentle hugs and whispered prayers for all the dustbunnies and their loved ones.
-
Welcome Amazon! Just sending you a big hug from accross the pond. About to cook dinner but needed a wee little down time on my bed first, dh working all hours so makes me even busier. Sharing the food network with your son sounds just lovely.xx
I will look at my pm coonie, so soory to hear of all your pain.
xx to Arnie and family and of course to all my peachy bunnies.

Hugs dusty buns.
Had my last rad onc appt today!!! Hopefully the last one for life!
Celebrating by doing no housework. What else is new?
-
WOO HOO SHARON!!!! So happy for you that I'm not gonna pick up after the kidlets that have been here all day
No really, so excited for you!!!!
SHOUT OUT to Coonie....are you ok there in Louisiana???? Heard about those horrible storms...
-
Thx Arnie.
Coonie is ok. Just chatted with her.
How's DD Arnie?
-
Congrats and yeeeeha to Sharon for ending those cancer related appointments, what a lovely feeling. So glad you spoke to Coonie, hoping to catch up with both of you really soon.
Kids both off school, dd with the hint of a virus, dh too tired, he was up all night concerned with his dad not coming home, he was working very late and it ended up being an all nighter at the office, which ds is not accustomed too, so he just was unsettled. He first got tearful and upset about the upcoming holiday in Rhodes, I finally figured out he needed to know that he could have his beloved toy and access to youtube which are his down time props and I assured him that we would have access to both and that we would shedule youtube and toy washing machine breaks into the holiday routine, that seemed to calm him. He was so upset and worried about it and internalizing it, it is painful to watch but I managed to understand what it was, so at least he might start to enjoy looking forward to the holiday now, bless his little SEN socks.
Thoracis specialist again last monday and back in 3 weeks. Looks like trying to see what improvement we can gain(lung function wise) before he tells me his final assesement but my lungs are damaged and not functioning as they should, I look forward to understanding more about it and finding out about how it might settle or progress. Feeling blessed, have a good specialist and my upper chondral pain is so very diminished do to the drugs he initially gave me for my chest, don't miss that pain one bit.
I am feeling shattered and grateful at the same time, so I am declaring a halt on the cleaning for this a.m for all our time zones!
xx hugs to all bunnies.
-
Hugs Shiny, as always it's good to hear from you. You are one smart cookie to figure out what your son needs to help him calm down. I'm glad a specialist is trying to uncover the problem behind your lung issues. It sounds like he's determined.
I still see my med. onc. but that's only 2 appts/year. Maybe less after my next appt.
I'll join you in no housework this am.
Gentle hugs to all.
-
How freeing that must be Sharon to drop at least one of the docs!!! Good to see everyone else and I agree, no housework!!
-
((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((SHINY)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Sharon...just left dd's. Have a onocology appointment...
Hope he tells me I don't have to see him for a year!!!!
Thanks for the update on Coonie gal...I was concerned....

I'm still here! I have been moving into my own place - finally - and am completely overwhelmed. Who knew one person could have so much stuff! We cleaned out the storage locker and I am, at this moment, sitting amid boxes piled to the ceiling. I am, however, being ruthless in sorting through everything and keeping only what I absolutely love - the humane society has a thrift shop here and are they going to be surprised at all the new stuff they're going to have as soon as I can get it over there!
I am determined to see the humor in this.
Much love to everyone - I'll be back as soon as unpack!
-
Wowzers! So great to hear about last doctor appts and moving to new places!
Kathleen!!!! I'm SO happy for you!!! I know you'll enjoy your new place! Just make sure the paths are clear for walking! You don't want to fall and mess up that shoulder!! Do you have a pet with you? Just thinking that might help if you started feeling lonely. I bet your sister is missing you! Anyway....CONGRATULATIONS!! Maybe you can post some pics of your new place:)
Arniegirl, hope your appt went well. Still praying for DD. Is she feeling better? Sure hope things are leveling out. You all have been through enough already!!
Shiny!!! Hope you're feeling peeaaachy!!!! You're such an amazing mum. It was so sweet how you reassured your little boy about going on holiday and still able to have things that give him warm fuzzies. He's SOOOOOOOOOO very lucky!!
Big hugs to all you bunnies today!! I'm working today, so I'll be able to catch up with everyone. Happy hoppy hoppy weekend to EVERYONE!!
-
Heading to Europe in the morning.
NO housecleaning for me & I think you all deserve a break until I can return to not cleaning beside you. I'm starting to get excited!!!
Up until tonight, it has all seemed pretty theoretical. LOL.
Packing the suitcases has made it seem possible.
Shiny, we have a brief layover in London, so I will be doing a mind-meld with you in real time in your own locale!!! Then straight on to Zurich, then Germany and then Italy. I hope to take a gazillion pictures.
Lots of love to each bunny in the hutch.
xx00xx00xx00xx
Hugs to all in need (that may include each & every one of us! LOL)
-
OH OH OH, I hope you and Shiny meet up. How BRILLIANT would that be?
I confess. I cleaned all day. I do love the smell of Pinesol.
Sweet dreams Dusty Buns.
-
Sharon daaaling, 4 am postings from you! Barbe would be tisk tisking you for not getting enough sleep! Hope you are ok ( I am with you with the cleaning- although I never feel on top of it all, and I do get a lady to do my floors now, as I coudn't manage that, I do love the look and smell after a good clean- kiddos are my main priority though so they get the lion's share of my energy).
Faith!!!!! Please if you possibly can, ring me!! Is it Monday or Sunday that you are in London?? If you can give me a call. I will pm you my phone number in a minute in case you have access to your internet via your phone. I must confess, not wanting to be a saboteur or anything, but am sort of hoping that your flight is delayed unavoidably so that we can catch up properly and have a hug. That would be so fab. Call me even if it is to just say hello from Heathrow if possible. Will be thinking of you and sending you my PEACHIEST VIBES and lots of prayers for the best trip ever. Lucky kiddos, wish I could watch you perform Red white and blue, and potatoes! sigh..
Coonie, you are so kind warm just fab, how lucky am I to have you as a friend. Thanks for your kind words always.
Not feeling too great physically (Lungs and my usual pains), hanging in there, 6 more sleeps to our holiday in Rhodes but before that I have to somehow get things "ship shape and Bristol fashion" for my inlaws who are here overnight tomorrow.
Thinking of you ALL with love, admiration AND gratitude.
Shiny

Hugs to all my hurtin' bunnies! And the travelin' ones too. D'yall realize that OUR holiday is coming!!! Easter, when everone celebrates our glory (non-religious post here), so I declare a NON housework break for the next 3 weeks. For those of you who gave up housework for Lent (good thinking!) you get an extra 3 weeks!!!
