Hi Everyone..........new thread for me.........After reading so many of the threads I guess I'm one of the lucky ones..................I have 18 grandchildren........and twin great-grand daughters.........I was diagnosed with my BC in the same hospital that they were born in..........I was diagnosed on Feb., 15th by a BS who without even doing the biopsy said "this tumor is malignant". He was that sure.......On Feb. 21st I had the biopsy which confirmed what he already knew..........My twin baby girls were born on March 3rd, and as I sat in the waiting room with my son, I thought, I want to remember this hospital for the good that happened here, not the bad..............On March 14th I had my surgery, and if you can get good news about cancer.......I did.........when the pathology came back the tumor was small 1.1cm. lumpectomy, no node involvement, and clear margins...............Yes it was good news...........but when are they going to find a vaccine that all women can get so that we don't have to deal with this disease...........Finding BC while the tumor is small is great,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but how about not having to ever have another mammogram, repeat mammogram,,, biopsy, and surgery............Lets work toward that...........Less money spent on radiation...........chemo drugs..........use all those dollars to find a vaccine...............Not in my time I'm sure (I'm 75), but maybe one day my grandaughters.......great-grandaughters will not have to say "well at least the tumor is small", instead they can say "thank God we have a vaccine now, so we don't have to go through what my grandmother went through..............hugs ladies.

Welcome ducky!! So sorry you had to join us but are happy you found our thread. 18 grandchildren! WOW!! My parents have 13 and the house is rocking when we are all together. Great brand babies too. You are lucky! Yes, remember the hospital for the happy moments. You are lucky that your cancer was caught early. Mine was too and my BS said the same thing, she new it was cancer immediately. Thank God for doctors.
Still freezing raining here, on top of the snow. We didn't get much, maybe 2-3 inches but it is heavy wet snow, like cement. Happy the kiddies are in school!
-
Welcome ducky
I also had my children, surgery and chemo in the same hospital.
I look at it as they saved my life there.
OK...I do not like plain oatmeal. Even with blueberries and banana its not going down right.
I'm going back to my original microwaveable pouches where I can enjoy my breakfast.
I'm normal now just finished coffee and I will be leaving soon.
you all have a good day.
HUUUUUUGS♥
-
Have a good day, Seyla. Watch your step if it gets icy!
-
Yes Sheila. Be careful!
You could always top the oatmeal with brown sugar. I used to do that as a kid. Yum!
-
I didn't fall
i guess I'm not trustable when it comes walking. No ice just drizzling.
If I will add sugar then i can really buy the ones i like.
I thought i was doing something better staying with plain one.
By the way I'm home.
Father was little better today.
-
Glad to hear he's better today Sheila. Hope he's even better tomorrow!
-
That is good news Sheila, my Dad is doing good, he is glad to be home in his little studio apt with nurses waiting on him hand and foot. His PCP ordered the VNA nurse to come in everyday for awhile and PT and OT for a while.
-
Happy to hear your Dad is back at home and doing well too Deb!
-
thank You for all your good wishes.
Good Night!
-
I am happy to hear the dads are doing better and that Sheila has remained upright while walking
The pinched nerve is still a bother but I think it is improving. Acupuncture and self medication are working wel.
This weekend my daughter is in a wedding and we are invited as well. So today we have done nails, rub on tan, haircut, shoes, bridal lunch, rehearsal, rehearsal dinner and tomorrow is hair and weddng. Of course the wedding is about 45 minutes north and today I found out they are shutting down the interstate we need to use to get there so it will be a bit of a hassle. It has been pounding rain today so driving was the pits.
My friend from MA that lives here is also invited. She just called to ask if she should wear her f me boots.
Is painting done Linda?
Is daughter in Manhattan driving the Uhaul, Deb?
Chris, you are quiet today. Are you feeling ok now?
Blondie -- what are you doing this weekend?
Sheila - we don't hear much about BBB these past few weeks, is everything ok?
-
It looks like a gorgeous day.
Diane I'm glad you stopped by I missed you. I'm taking a break from BBB.
Enjoy your wedding.
I'm taking a day off today.
OK coffee time
Saturday morning hugs to each one of you.♥
-
On my way to have more BW done, just to check the BUN, Cloride and Calcium.
Yes DD did drive through NYC/Manhattan to drop the U'Haul off. Right now they are probably shopping. I posted on FB. She says she would not want to do that again anytime soon, LOL.
As for my Dad, no news is good news, I haven't seen him in a few days. With the way his health is I have to expect the unexpected.
-
How am I doing?
Do I look thinner
-
-
You look FANTASTIC!!!!!
-
I am surprized my vein in my right arm is still working. Four times so far this year it has been stabbed.
Got a lot done today, BW, Walfart and Groceries. Tomorrow I want to look for some type of chair pad for my Dad's wheelchair so his bum doesn't get sore.
I hope you feel better soon Linda♥
-
EVERYONE!
-
Thanks Deb. I hope your bloodwork is just fine. When will you know?
-
I was off from my responsibilities today. It was a beautiful day I took a ride with my friend. It felt good.
Linda like i said on the other site don't overdo on dessert
Also stopping Femara and watching what goes in my mouth actually started to shrink my middle part. I don't look pregnant anymore.
If BBB wants one we have to adopt. lalalalalalalalalalalalalalalala
-
Deb my annual check up is at the end of this month.
i hope everything is back to normal range.
-
LOL, Sheila! You should adopt......I have two available.
-
Remember Dee used to visit us? Wonder where she's been and hope she's ok!
-
I may know in the middle of next week. They were only a few points higher than normal so I'm not too concerned. It looks like it may be a kidney issue, but we will see.
-

I didn't see Dee for a long time. She used to go on the games.
i just ordered 2 batteries for my cordless phones.
We went 3 different store they didn't have it. This nice sales person at Radio Shack gave me the battery model # and just did it.
I have 3. 2 of them are really sick only allowing me to speak not more than 15 minutes and dying on me.
-
those batteries are really expensive I just guy new phones.
-
I just bought new phones too. We got a bundle of 5 phones so you can plug them in everywhere. Kids will wreck them before you know it. My battery kept dying in my old phones too.
Boz Scagggs, theres a blast from the past! Bet that was fun!
-
Thats what i have bundles that they plug anywhere.
The batteries were very cheap $7.99 each otherwise i was gonna get another bundle.
It costed me around $23.00 with shipping and tax.
