this is not a spoiler. Just some song choices from the critics.
Here is another list

Sheila, LOL on the second link's writer who, instead of picking a song for Naima, said, "My prediction is that she does us all a favor and throws in the towel."
I actually like her some of the time but I still thought that was funny!
Everyone's all over the place on picking songs. Could be a night that changes things up a bit if some of the contestants mutilate their songs the way I think they might
-
Okay girls... still early here, but enough time to gather your favorite drink(s), may be some popcorn, get a nice seat on the couch (previously "Coach" as it reflects my addiction to this brand and their large handbags
) and grab that remote... can't wait.
Additional items: big, warm, fluffy blanket;
-
Lilia that sounds great! I'm freezing my butt off right now at my son's baseball practice, so add a warm blanket to your suggestions and it will be perfect! Can't wait to plop myself on the couch!

Hi Sherrill: I added your suggestion to the list... hope the game is over soon... so not into those days! My last one was in November when my daughther's Field Hockey Team made it to the semi-finals... what a great game, with overtime and all... but man... was it raw cold out there!
-
Ok...
Sir Elton John tonight AND a 2 person elimination night!! Oh My!! His is such a widely recognised voice (at least for people of a certain age) that I think it's going to be, do REALLY well, or go home!
Kind of along the lines of when my daughter's chorus class at school tried Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody... They did OK but, that is such a distinct song that anything short of perfection, is going to fall FAR short!
NatureGrrl... Great choices to match the style of the different singers! Hopefully someone one on the show is as 'on the money' as you are.. Sometimes it feels as though, while the singers may be good, they are getting really bad advice as to what to sing!
Today has been a loooong day! Looking forward to snuggling up in a blanket (I hear you tougherthanithought), forgetting about my day and watching Idol!! Have my snack and a glass of wine ready to go!
East coast girls..... 35 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
NaughtyByNature,
I FEEL your pain... My son is an ice hockey player and, boy oh boy, is that ever a long season!! Starts with practices in October and they don't finish until late February!!
My son is a high school senior this year so it was kind of a mixed emotions year! Glad it's over YET sad it's over (he's played since he was 6 years old)!
-
Im ready.
17 minutes and counting.....
-
I am in WA so it is hours to go. I think it should be a great show and wonder if they got Elton John for the elimination night? I am going away now so I wont get it all spoiled. Have fun fiun fun!

Time for Steven!!!
-
Okay Teka... you take Steven...!
I will take JLo's body... she is looking GOOD! Really GOOD! I am jealous!
-
JLo is just gorgeous!
-
Scotty: love this kid, really adorable and good looking too, what a voice and he connects with his public... but once again, I would use him only to read me bedtime stories (I am more a Keith Urban type of country music). I also agree with Randy's critique.
Naima: loved, loved, LOVED! True to herself, to her roots and than again, that's one of my music preferences... specially summer time... I don't agree with JLo or Randy... not at all!
-
Paul: can whisper me sweet things to my ears anytime... very unique and different voice... loved the suit and teeth!
Pia: no comments... this girl can sing, sing, SING! And did I hear a little country in there?!
-
PIA ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
-
Stefano: I like this kid's voice and how cute he is... he is very today's market! I liked it very much.
Lauren: love this girl and her spunky, naughty but nice side... LOVED. Goose bumps for me!
-
Stefano adorably cute
Lauren perfect and she sang my all time fav. song. Go Lauren♥
-
WOW... Tonight is really tough... They are ALL bringing their 'A' game!!!
Have to say Stephano was not a favorite of mine in the beginning but, he has done really well the last couple of weeks... Lauren (LOL at Steven's comment that maybe she can afford the rest of her dress) and Pia, awesome!!!
Not a fan of Naima but, but will say her song interpretation tonight, while risky, was one of her better performances!
My guy James Durbin just KILLED it again tonight!!! In addition to being very talented, he just is SO good at engaging the audience!!! My opinion, and you all can feel free to disagree (as if there was any doubt...lol), is he is going to win this!
-
James: OMG... I want to adopt this kid... love him to pieces and what a...
!
Thia: Has a beautiful voice but she has not reached her potential... she can be a Pia... but her young tender age and inexperience is not helping her. All said, I liked it but
.
-
Casey: KILLED IT... in a good way for me that is! More goose bumps for me!
-
Jacob: I did not like it... JMO. Still a great voice.
Haley: her voice is soooooo different... loved, LOVED IT! Hope she sticks around. SEXY!
Great night ladies... don't miss a tune... one way or another they all made good and Sir Elton John should be super proud.
See you all tomorrow. Night, night.
-
Naughty.... signing out before Haley???
-
I got so involved, I forgot about the soup and its burned.
-
Nature... it's called chemo brain... and I have school homework staring at me and due tomorrow! Oppsie moment!
seyla: I knew I was smelling something... could not figure out what... LOL
-
NaughtybyNature,
Your posts read like a fun student.
-
It was a great night.
Now we wait for tomorrow night.
I have 3 names for bottom three
Have a Good Night Ladies
-
Jumping in here (I'm a big fan)!
I thought Casey did great tonight and Haley really really sparkled -- wow -- if she can keep singing like that... and Pia did a great job. Even though she sang another ballad it had such life compared to the others (and what a voice)! I also agree that Lauren stepped up her game...
And I agree with the James lovers. But I am on the fence about Paul. I thought the advice he got to risk a little more was very good. He is both very interesting and somewhat disappointing every time.
I guess we aren't saying who we see in the bottom?
-
I'll say. I see Thia, Stefano and maybe Lauren in the bottom three. I see This going home. Of course that is my crystal ball talking.
I am wondering about the wisdom of having the girls all dressed, except Naima, like 35 year old club singers. The dresses are pretty but too much of anything, you know.

I thought James and Haley were the best by far! I love Elton John, so I guess I have a hard time hearing others sing him, but they did allright. I just love James. He gets so excited and into his performance. I think Haley is getting better and she was really good tonight. I hope she stays. I think Jacob can sing great too, but I was kind of bored with him tonight. He was much better last week. I am still not a Scotty fan, but he can sing country well. Casey is back! I am glad he's toning it down a little. I liked the new beard and haircut too. Lauren is back to her good singing as well. You can tell they have a little more pressure on them this week with 2 people going home. I think the bottom three will be Thia (even though she can sing she is boring), Naima (I didn't like her tonight at all), and I don't know who the third will be. Good Night everyone. -
-
I thought everyone did really well last night! My bottom 2 are Thia (I think she will be the one to go) and Naima. Not sure about the third one. Maybe Jacob or Scotty ? JMO...I know there are many Scotty fans out there, as well as Jacob, but they are not my favorites.
I loved Haley, James, and Pia tonight. Casey was great also.
It was so funny how Ryan didn't get James' Pepsi reference! He seemed more concerned about keeping the sponser ( Coke) happy!
