Depends on what you want regarding price and atmosphere. But Jake's on the ocean in Del Mar is great. Prices aren't too high and you can walk out of the back of the restaurant and onto the beach for a stroll. Other nice places include Cafe Pacifica (in a three story mall on the main street - view overlooks the ocean), and there are also 2-3 other restaurants on same level (can't remember the names). My favorite place is Jake's.
-
I vote for Jake's too
there is always the Brigantine
Hi Jeanne

Hi Everyone,
It's time for our April get together. As I see it, at this point we're limited if we get together on the weekend. This weekend is out as it's Passover which limits the places some of us can go to eat and it's Easter on Sunday. The next weekend is April 30th and May 1st
I vote for our April lunch get together to be on Sunday May 1st.
Who's with me on it.
Brahna
-
Hi sisters, May 1st is good for me, anyplace. Hugs, Shirl
-
I was wondering if I was having lunch by myself but yeah! I'll have company.
Meet Sunday at noon at the Miramar Cafe
7128 Miramar Rd., San Diego, CA 92121
Phone: (858) 695-9167
-
turns out, I will be in town, so you will and Shirl will have company, and we know it'll be fun. After 8 hours in urgent care yesterday, I got diagnosed with gallstones. As long as it's gallstones & not mets, I'll be happy (well not "happy")
-
Oh Brahna, I LOVE that cafe,we have been back twice. I will be there. Hugs, Shirlann
-
Here's yesterday's lunch group. My friend Marge, who is newly diagnosed with breast cancer, joined us for lunch and will be returning. Susan is so happy that we now have another short person in the photo.
Back: Brahna (bonnid), Shirlann
Front: Marge, Susan (guitarGrl)
-
And I AM so happy I now have two tiny people to hide myself behind! hahaha
We need to get going on May, gals, I vote for the Miramar Cafe, Brahna's jewel of a restaurant! Hugs to you all Shirlann
-
Im in san diego too.
-
sanbar - then please join us next month. It's a great group of women. Unfortunately from your picture you don't look short - unless your husband is really tiny, but you are still welcome!
-
I'm new in here, Hope to enjoy this forum.

Hey ladies, I am back lets do it in May...but I can't do it the weekend of 21-22May, anybody up for Memorial Weekend??
-
I can, Lisa, see what the others think?
Hugs, Shirlann
-
I'll be able to make it, especially if we meet again at Miramar Cafe.
After 30 years in business, we are closing our auto repair business and will be finishing up Memorial Day weekend as we vacate the premises on May 31st. Miramar Cafe is a short distance from our shop.
sanbar and nickhun - please join us. We have lots of fun but we do get serious when we need to be.
Brahna
-
I will be there, I LOVE this restaurant. It is so nice and just perfect for our meetings, and OF COURSE, we love to have new girls come to keep us pepped up. As the older diagnosed ones get on with their lives, we need new people to enliven our meetings, so be sure and join us. Let me know which day, I can come any day.
Gentle hugs, Shirlann
-
the restaurant is great..food for everyone regardless of dietary preferences..
how about Sunday?? at 1130

Hi Lisa, Sunday sounds fine to me, the Miramar Cafe at 11:30am???
Hugs, Shirlann
-
Let's just say its a go, Shirl, Bonnie, guitargirl, me

Shirley is too modest - whenever she is there, it is lively. But we do love to have new people.
-
