Anyone watching Season 10 of American Idol?

NSWTD .. Agree with you .. Stephano does nothing for me. I would never go out and purchase a tickets to see him in concert, or music. Just me.
*I did hear .. that 2 contestants will be leaving AI next week. And all 11 will be on the American Idol 'tour' this summer.

I was really surprised that they used the save on Casey. I thought he would go, or Hayley or Naima. Now 2 have to go this week--just kinda delays the inevitable for Casey, but I guess he gets to go on the tour now.

Naima .. made it to the final 10 ! That is my BIG surprise.
-
I am not surprised they saved Casey after all they kept saying that he was the "whole package" - just surprised me that Casey was in the bottom 3 and the judges already used their one and only save for the season.
Vicki Sam - I actually fast forwarded through Naima's song. I started watching her sing and got really bored. I don't see what the judges see in her at all.
Love Pia but wonder if she can do anything else but ballads and if so.....will she be as good? I am tired of her just standing in front of the mike and using the same arm movements week after week.
Thia - love the tone of her voice but believe she would go a lot further if she had more experience under her belt - guess what I am saying is that if she had waited another couple of years to try out - she would be doing much better - JMHO.
Scotty - I am going to hate it when he is voted off. Something about his deep voice - gets me every single time.
-
I heard that next week's theme is... Elton John songs.
I'm betting Pia will STILL pick a ballad and do it the same ol' way
Two will be eliminated.
Should be interesting.
-
I guess the judges could have used the save vote all season. Now no save for any singer. Viewers get the final vote.
-
The viewers do get the final vote, but lets face it, there has always been some doubt that the system is perfectly accurate. I guess the save lets them do something if they think thinks are wrong.
Am I crazy or was fantasia in the bottom three one week?
-
cookie...You are not crazy she was.
-
I heard Casey was in the hospital again! Poor guy - is it a stomach ulcer or something like that?
With Elton John songs, I'm sure Pia will find another ballad.
Did anybody else hear Paul sing the word "masturbating" the other night? I said something to my son, and played it back and whatever word he was trying to say, came out sounding like masturbating. I've already deleted it, though, so I can't go back and see what it was.

I think this is the best season of American Idol ever! I love the way they are producing the songs, it is like watching a concert rather than a crucifixion every week. I also like the lessened number of fillers as well as the more positive critiques of the judges.
I agree with several here that due to her age Thia lacks depth. She is young and would do well as a Disney Princess on Broadway.
I loved Naima's dance and song, she is a good performer. I think the tour will be worth seeing.

Poor Casey....I thought he was gonna pass out Thursday night when he said I cant breath.
Im not a fan of his but i hope he gets better.
heartandsoul..i also deleted the show but if you really want to know maybe some detective work in order
-
heartnsoul....I read the lyrics of the song.
It is I'm masquerading ((not masturbating))
-
So funny! I wonder which word he heard in his mind.
-
omg, Elton John! I'm a huge fan! I Hate seeing people butcher his songs and I Love when they don't! This will be an interesting show!
-
angel, me too, saw him in concert in Buffalo NY, he was fantastic. Paul should be able to pick a song suited to his voice. It will be interesting to see what Pia and James pick. Karen
-
Sheila - LOL! So it's "masquerading". Jimmy Kimmel heard "masturbating" too. He asked the audience, "now tell me what you hear", and then re-wound it and played it again.

There's a good laugh in there about Scotty for you ladies that aren't too crazy about him, too!
-
Now everyone will know Paul. Priceless publicity!
-
Paul made my weekend.
-
LOL - me too, Teka!
And Jimmy Kimmel's new voice for Scotty was hilarious! I love Scotty, but that was funny!
-
heartnsoul...just watched the link LOL LOL
-

-
So glad I could show you all this, and really glad you checked it out! It IS a great way to start the week - I'm feeling better now that I watched it again!
-
Finally getting to watch the show......
Casey...I get why people were not all about that....
Thia...ok, the arrangement,choreography, kinda cruise ship/theme park/euro tv ish..but I actually loved her voice
Lusk...WOW....nice to have the original studio player...
BTW if you love motown see "standing in the shadows of motown"
I thought Naima was great...one of the segments in "standing in the shadows" they talk about the drummers and the exotic dancers and it reminded me of that
Haley...I think she's talented
Scotty...interesting, little akward
I liked Paul fine
Stefano....not my favorite song
Pia...always fine...but eh
Lauren...I love that song so much...she was pretty good...
thought Durbin was good
-
Can't wait for tomorrow night!!! wondering what Elton John songs they will all sing...???
-
Pia...candle in the wind
Durbin...Crocodile Rock
??? hmmmm
-
cookie We must thought about the same song.
If she does choose that song Pia has to do do a perfect job.
Thank God its Wednesday.

I think Elton John's songs (most of them) are in a lower register and I'm having trouble seeing Pia finding one that allows her to belt it out the way she likes to... Candle in the Wind isn't a belt-out kind of song (could be done that way, but doing so would ruin the intent of the song). I thought the judges encouraged her (again) to find something besides a ballad but she seems to turn everything into a ballad anyway
If she picks a ballad, I'm thinking of "Can You Feel the Love Tonight." We'll see if she can do anything different.
I think the song venue might challenge a few of the singers but there are a lot of good choices. Surely someone will do "Your Song" -- what a classic -- hope they don't butcher it
I can see Thia doing "Circle of Life" and James doing "Bennie and the Jets" or "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road." Paul: maybe "Daniel." Someone surely will do "Someone Saved my Life Tonight" (maybe Pia? you can belt that one!) (or she could belt out "I'm Still Standing" -- that would be a good one to get away from the normal ballad stuff).
OK, I'm just rambling, lots of good choices, question is whether the singers will pick good choiced for themselves -- and then do a good job with it.
-
What was the name of that song???/ Dont let the sun shine.......
that will be a perfect one for James.
