Wow, took me so long messing around with trying to copy and paste that the party has started without me.   Save me a glass of something.

Yesterday was the 17th anniversary of my 39th birthday (I feel as playful as a 17 year old, mentally I feel 39, but have the wisdom/experience of being 56). I refuse to get old, (just don't remind me I said this when I wake up in the morning with my joints creaking, hunched over, thinking I'm too young to feel this old.--lol)

Hey count me in on the party.  I was 61 last Dec.  So I am old enought to know better, but young enough not to care.  Make mine a frozen Margarita!  Yes, Barb, I do drink, occassionally.

Somebody say party?  Make it scotch for me too but no chaser. Good to see so many friends here.  At 68 I guess I fit older.  Even if the beast has made my body recognize I'm past middle age my mind feels as young as a barely mature adult!

Ginger - how wonderful that tomorrow is your last rad! Another reason to party - almost as good as a birthday. If you're like me, it will take a couple of weeks to get over that "radiation tired", but then you'll be as good as new! You deserve a big WOO HOO!

I'm old enough to party with you all! Heading toward the big 5-4. I play nice, am a middle-child peace-maker, and am FINALLY learning how to stand up for myself and not worry about what other people think. That's tough to do after a lifetime of otherwise!!

So, let's party, and travel, and eat, and love our fur babies. As well as show kindness to each other!

Jack Daniels on the rocks, please. And easy on the rocks.

Wonderful cheerful thread.  Thanks all you "fun" ladies.  Only my second post on BCO.  Have been lurking.  Am nearly (2 weeks to go) finished with rads and have had NO probs. So lucky so far.

Then on to Femara.  Dr. has ordered blood test after end of rads.  I asked the resident I see first today why the blood test - what are they looking for - what has the radiation perhaps done.  He didn't know.  Guess that's why he's still a student.

Great fun. Suspect I will have to buy own birthday cake if I am to have one and own present. DH keeps asking what I want. Anyway we are going out to dinner with DB and SiL tomorrow night to celebrate. I believe in celebrating birthdays now-a-days. Didn't think I was going to get this far four years ago.

Ginger will have a drink for you tonight and tomorrow night. It will be wine as I have never been able to drink beer. Think it has something to do with the fact I used to go with my mother when she picked hops. Peggy hope you have no trouble with the rest of your rads.

Big hugs to all joining this party.

    Hello,

I'm joining the party because Marybe told me you are a cool bunch! I usually just post on the Stage 4 Board! I think I will bring some Conoa beer and of course, lime, to go with it! I may have cancer but I will never get scurvy!!

I want to be spirited and lively rather than droopy. Spring is on the way even here in Siberia. So I am joining.

I think I will just brew my own beer and pass it around Laughing  Oh yes....and my beer is around 11% alcohol!

Eph3 - I drink the same thing when I am out on the town at night - cranberry juice and vodka - here we call it a Cape Cod but I get a side car with it so I can get that extra vodka!

Fun thread!! At 57, I find myself highly qualified to post here, and some days I feel more lively and spirited than others. I really just want to try some of jancie's home brew - 11% is definitely lively and spirited! And two bday cakes - I'm there!

3jays - about time you got here. Sorry we started the party without you. Barbara arranged for a great opening night, but I can't do this partying all the time!
