    My dx was very similar to Mrs. Healthy. I didn't think chemo was terrible. I worked through the whole thing, although I did work at home on day three. That's when the fatigue seemed to hit me. Try to encourage her (or at least don't discourage her) to do things that make her feel normal. I thought being able to dishes meant I was having a good day. The most memorable thing from that time frame was a day when I waited for the sun to drop behind the trees and I went out and picked green beans from the garden. I just wanted to do something normal. Prayers are with you both.

    BTW I had a ball with hats. By the time my hair started coming back I had >25 hats. Now I've passed most of them on to a friend in the same fight. But I kept a lot of them. Turns out I look good in hats and younger without the gray hair. See, it's not all bad. Just try to laugh as much as you can.

    HEALTHY_FUTURE

    Haven't had time to check this lately. Hope your wife is feeling better. We had a set back wife's white count dropped as expected spiked a fever of 102. Trip to Dr she has now lost both expanders to infections. Hope that's over no fevers for 2 weeks. Had her second round last Wed. She lost her hair at about day 17-18 doing real good with that though. She keeps herself pretty busy with her job and just around the house. It does help keep her mind off everything going on. She doesn't have a lot of time to worry about it high school softball season for youngest daughter planning wedding for oldes. Wishing you and your family the best of luck.

    Hi ilchusband,

    I hope your wife is feeling better.

    I think it is very important to keep the mind occupied with daily routine and positive thought.

    My wife hair had started falling off so she decided to have her hair shaved. We did that last night.

    She's been driving and taking our daugther to/from school.

    Hopefully your wife is feeling better by now from the second chemo.
