Dancing with the Stars

My vote is for the talk show host.
-
Mind if I join you ladies. Now that the Bachelor is over, it's time for Dancin. Kirsty did well, couldn't breathe but looked good. So did Hines Ward, infectious smile, after the Buffalo Bills bombed out this season, I transfered my allegiance to Pittsburgh and Hines and Troy are my two favorites. The radio talk show host, barring any miracles, will be the first to go.
-
I agree about the talk show host. I did like the Karate Kid and Hines.
-
karen333 ... I was so happy that Hines was so good! Of course, I voted for him!
-
If I understood correctly the first elimination is next week. That does seem fairer than basing it on one week and one dance for the first one.
-
I missed the first hour, I will watch the first hour on the net and see how the first ones did. My first impressions after they announced the stars was that Kirstie and Wendy would not be able to move well but Kirstie changed that opinon. I am pulling for Ralph (karate kid) to stay but my son is wanting Ray to win.

I enjoyed Kirstie but I have trouble imagining haw she will do when she gets to the dances that require lifts.
-
We get to watch everyone dance next Monday and then the first elimination on Tuesday. I can't imagine anyone even attempting to pick Kirstie.
-
Well I think I owe Kristy an apology. She actually surprised me at how well she did for a "big" woman. She actually looked like she was doing the steps unlike a lot of them. Last night was easier for her because Max did not have to do any lifts or handle her body much. We'll see what happens when she has to do the more intricate dances with him and how they will manage certain "moves". I was bored with the show as a whole since my favorite Derek was not dancing. May not watch all of them unless just to see how "Max" manages to handle Kristy just for fun. I had no idea she was 60 years old. Trying to do those dances at that age and weight can really be stressful on her heart, imo. I do hope she doesn't overdo.
-
Had to smile thinking about Max and those lifts. Maybe Kristie will lift Max....hehehehe
-
I gotta see that one - Kirstie lifting Max - LOL
-
Did it seem to anyone else that Kristy lost weight during the three weeks they practiced? I thought she did and looked great. I was going back and forth between a basketball game and the show, so I didn't see them all, but I did see her and I was impressed. I agree that the lift will probably be Kristie picking up Max.
-
I thought Kristy looked especially heavy in the stomach and hips. I wonder why she didn't stick with the Weight Watchers Program she was supposed to be on? She really is still an attractive woman especially for her age but she could afford to thin down some if only for poor Max's sake!
-
I tuned in, always do. I think there are always a mix of so-so stars, this year there is not one really big standout, but that is ok. I too, thought Kirstie did great. I was also surprised she is 60. I also thougth Ralph did a great job. I am just looking for some entertainment and this show provides that.
-
No matter how you slice it, Kirstie is heavy. She should lose weight if she sticks around for a while. Look what happened to Marie Osmond - she really slimmed down while dancing - that and some help with NutriSystem. Maybe Kirstie should look into that diet.
-
Jo1955 - Kristie was the spoke person for Jenny Craig diet and lost 75 lbs but she stopped not sure what happened.
-
Odalys - I do remember she did Jenny Craig and did lost a bunch of weght. Maybe she needs to reconsider and go back on it.
-
Kristy was fired by Jennie Craig because she started her own diet food line. I think there may have been a lawsuit, but I am not positive about that. Kristy did just open her own Organic food store.
-
Anne - I didn't know that. I'm not a fan so really don't keep up with her. She is going to get lots of publicity now....for sure.
-
Okay, I'm a bit late to the party and now I'm going to seem like a know it all, but I knew Kirstie would do well. I remember a scene from Look Who's Talking and she did a kind of dance in front of her fridge and had great musicality.
I actually think she and Maks are a good match. She can keep up with him, personality-wise. She was awesome, as were Ralph Macchio and Hines Ward. They're my top three right now. I think the talk show guy or Wendy Williams will be the first to go...so glad they at least get to dance for two weeks.
I hope Kirstie loses the weight. I agree that she may have lost some during rehearsals. Best thing for her. It's a great workout!
-
One more day and we get to see everyone dance one more time before the first elimination. This should be interesting.
Who is going to watch with me?
-
I'm watching. By the way, I just discovered a free DWTS exercise video. I have pay-for-view on my cable, and under the sports section are a bunch of free exercise videos. There were 2 by the DWTS dancers - a jive video and a merengue video. I did them yesterday and it was a great workout!
-
Toni - That sounds like it would be a lot of fun. What is the name of it? Maybe I can google it and get it free too.
-
I'll be watching this week for sure, probably till the last show of the season.
-
Where is everyone? Am I the only one watching tonight?
-
I am watching
-
Good. I thought I was the only one. Kirstie surprised me again tonight. She may very well be around next week.
-
I'm watching too. OMG, Lenny had me laughing so hard with his remark "...bouncing around like a wasp at a picnic..." Bwahahaha...
-
I'm watching too - that Romeo guy is the big surprise - his father was such a lug! But I still have to root for Kristie - the middle-aged sister. Jo- the name of the video is just Dancing With the Stars Jive or Merengue - they were about 15 minutes long.
-
Thanks Toni - I will look it up on the internet and see if I can find it.
Romeo is another surprise - his father did not have rhythm at all. He may be around for a while. I, too, want to see Kirstie stick around.
