Radiation Burn

I have been using a cream called Silvadene that the doctor prescribed to me. The top

layer of dryed skin has come off. Buy has left my skin look raw and red. Is there any thing

else I can use or should I just keep using this and wait for it to heal.

    caall1234...Silvadene is usually pretty effective.  My burns took about 2 weeks to lose the angry raw appearence after starting to use it.

    Check with your radiation oncologist or the RNs.  I was told (but didn't need) that if the skin became really raw one could place some mixture on a gauze square and place it on the area for a few hours at a time. If the area starts to weep, you will likely need some antibiotics.
