UGH!!!  My GP's office (a new one) just called me for my onc's fax number, and of course AFTER I hung up I started getting that sick feeling that something was wrong with the X-ray I had today.  Of course I didn't think fast enough to ask why they needed the number while I had them online, but I do remember now that they had me fill out a form yesterday to have my records transferred from the onc to them.  So I am praying that's all it was about.  My GP doc is off today so I probably won't know anything until Monday.

Sheesh cancer sucks.............

    A good GP will be thoughtful enough to send results of ALL tests, labs, etc. to any specialist you work with.  I work in an office, and the fax machine is busy all day long.  Try not to worry.

    That does suck, especially because it's a Friday and you have to wait until Monday.  Your GP's office couldn't call the onc's office for the fax, rather than worry you?  I know that they all share information, but it seems that would have been the better option.

    I'm sure they're keeping each other informed of all test being done...........as hard as it may be, try to keep your mind occupied with other stuff over the weekend. (((hugs)))

    Sharon, I bet they just needed it for their records.

    I remember when I was first Dx, I had my Onc's office call and leave a message to call back ASAP, I of course got in a major panic, but they just wanted a code from my health card.

    Try to just not think about it for the weekend - can't change anything now, right. But yep, it sucks to have to worry.

    Thanks girls,

    Kerry, I am telling myself that it was just for my records.  In a holding mode through the weekend!

    I agree with Christine.  My PCP and onc office fax each other records all the time.  Put this way down on the "to worry about" list.  {{hugs}}

    I know it's hard to wait, and our minds are always on the verge of Cancerland (oh, that nightmarish theme park)..but I agree with the other gals, very likely they are just sending over the paperwork to keep things consistent.

    i'll keep you in my thoughts this weekend - sending hugs.

    Thanks girls.  I think it was probably the records thing, but I am worried about this pain.  It just doesn't seem right, not that any pain is right, but I can't come up w/any reason for it.  Blah, blah, blah.  Promise, no more whining from me this weekend.

    Finally heard back from my GP today after I called and left a message on their test results line.  Apparently one of his nurses were supposed to call me and never did.  Anyway, he said there was no indication of cancer (YIPPIE!!!) in the X-ray, but it did show some scoliosis, and degenerative changes.  All of those I will gladly take and not the nasty C thank you!  He suggested some PT, which I will definitely do.  Has helped me in the past, plus it might amp up my wanting to work out more.  Something I used to do religiously BEFORE bc.

    Thank you all so much for your care and concern.Laughing

    Love,
    Sharon

    I am so happy that it's "only" scoliosis and degenerative disk disease and not the big "C".  Whoo Hoooooo, do the happy dance.

    After all of this stress and worry, go have a drink or a big piece of dark chocolate.
