Arnie!! I missed this news yesterday as I didn't check all my threads. I pray this is the last surgery your DD needs, and it sounds permanent at least!! What a long day for you. You'll be pretty beat up today, too. My hugs and love to you!
Vivvy, Congrats sister! You've come a long way!!!
Faith, I thought about you last night as we watched Celebrity Apprentice on PVR (from Sunday) and they wrote a children's book. I hate Dionne Warwick and Starr whoever now. Do they realize how BAD they come across???
Yep Shiny, still waiting to hear the diagnosis so they can start to cure you!

Thru security. At the gate. At portable work-station: LOVE IT!
Sharon, my LE has not seemed to get any worse for the air-travel, so far, so good. Of course in the last year I've worked like a dog to lose 15 pounds. I do all the precautions.
Right now I'm wearing my compression 'vest' layered with a compression shirt, both arms in compression and two gauntlets. I drink water like it's my job and walk the aisles when we're allowed, pumping my hand frequently.
I am concerned about the length of the flights to & from Europe..... but this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, so I'll pray to somehow remain in the shallow end of the LE pool. Thanks for asking.
((((((((((((Arnie)))))))))))
Glad to have the update that she's through the surgery safely & you got to wish her your love.
I have all the time in the world to pray today, so she moves to the top of the list.
Coonie, Barbe, Sharon, Vivvy, Shiny, Nancy, Kathleen, Lucy.......... oh dear who am I forgetting?
It's still early in my brain. LOL
Have a hoppy Hump Day everybody.
Love to each of you and anyone reading along, thinking you may have stumbled into some housework tips. LOL (not so much)

Too funny.
The power supply down concept.
Wish we could all just plug into the wall & be at 100%.
Maybe that's off in the science fiction future.
Where you can watch movies on your phone.

Arnie, this is like a flash-back to her last surgery where the pain never did go away!! Are they more optimistic this time that she will heal?? I feel so much empathy for her....the pain of the surgery and you expect to feel better. Give her gentle hugs and love from me (and to you too!)
-
(((((((((((((Arnie))))))))))))) ((((((((((((Jamie)))))))))))))
Arnie, you and your family have been in my thoughts and prayers!!! I know when our kids hurt, we wish we could take the pain instead of them suffering. Praying the surgery was a great success and she's up and going real soon. I'm sure T and L will be glad too:) (((((((((((((((Hugs))))))))))))))

Arnie.. sending loads of love and prayers for you and your dear DD. I hope today is the day that the pain starts to receed, and she really starts to feel the begining of the journey back to health and feeling like her whole self again. Just her, no pain, please God. xx hugs for you. It must be so difficult to see.
Barbe Coonie, A while back, EWB put a message on here that she was going for a surgery, can't recall exactly what type, some kind of "..ectomy" of some sort. I remember replying to her here, and hoping she would post back when she was feeling better, but I haven't heard from her since. Hopefully she will read this page and give us an update. She might still be healing and not up to computer? Best send extra loads of prayers her way.
EWB take care of you, and pop in to give us an update if you can. Hug.
Hugs to all on what is here a beautiful Saturday morning.
ps: DS did his class assembly on Friday, about Ancient Egypt. He did very well, lots of hopping and flapping of hands but when prompted he said his 2 lines, joined in with the actions as best he could in the song and asked everyone to put hands together to pray. At the end, when everyone did the "happy claps", he joined in with such joy himself, people, kids and grown ups, where "gushing" and saying how great he did and how lovely he is. Ahhh. One teen girl who's sister is in his class said, she was moved nearly to tears by his ways and how joyful he is. It was just what I needed to hear after a rather exausting time lately. Thank you God, I was indeed as ever blessed.
Have a blessed day all.
xx Shiny

Joyful....what a beautiful thing to know about your own child!!!!
-
Arnie, sending prayers and hugs.
Happy Day to all us Dusty Buns.
Edit to change pic~

:-) Agree with Shiny...I'm so glad I met you all and we have shared soooooo much together!!!!
I think you all know me, and I usually try not to burden others... My family needs some serious prayer right now... I was told my my friend's daughter-in-law this a.m. that what we're going through is "normal". I certainly hope so... Cause right now the young lady lying in that hospital bed is someone I don't know... She thinks we're all against her, her family, the doctors etc. We have been bending over backwards to show our love, our time and our committment to getting her through it but she does not see that right now... It's heartbreaking... So glad I have my faith and my Father to talk to because I don't think I could bear all this if I didn't. Just keep us all, especially my dh, in your prayers please....
Love you all and truly hoping you all have a blessed day.... (thank you to those who have called, sent private messages, etc.) We're just on the run all the time right now and I haven't had time to answer you back individually.... I will when time permits...

I had my bmx in December and working 6 days a weeks since I went back to work and cannt seem to get motivated to clean, I never use to be like this. Seems like I am tired all the time and cannt get enough energy.
-
I actually hired house cleaners to come in yesterday. I am so proud of myself and feel much better.
I had three young women here for 3 hrs 15 minutes and it was worth every penny. I am going to do it again and eventually this house will look organized and fully livable. FINALLY! WHy did I wait so long?
Anyone who has not, and is not, going to do this should realize that the last time I had a housecleaner in a house with furniture in it was about 1974. How's that for procrastination?
The dust crept up, and the unopened boxes loomed but now that the dust is beaten back the boxes don't seem so foreboding.
Happy spring is sprung!

Arnie, are you saying that your DD doesn't seem to be herself? If that's the case, the answer is simply the drugs she is on. They are mind-altering. Her frustration level at the continual pain is absolutely debilitating as well. You should notify her medical team that her personality is showing negative changes and they can adjust her drugs. Perhaps a psych counsel as well. Rememeber they don't know how your DD would normally be. Please let them know!
-
Arnie, I really feel for you. I may be completely wrong, but just in case there is just a little bit of "this " in her reaction, here goes: You remember when a woman is having a baby, actually in the throws of labour and love them as they do the husband and everyone else (nurses, family) is there going "you're doing just great, hang in there, just a bit longer, well done, it will get better, you are nearly there" and they are full to the brim with love for her, desperate to take on some of the pain, but the woman in labour may just be thinking, "I am not doing great, I am not strong, the pain meds are not good enough, this is more then I can take, how can I possibly take care of others if I am so miserable at managing this etc How could they say they love me and say those things, they have no idea how painful this is, they can't do this for me, I wish they would just leave me to this as they can't make it better etc..
All those intense emotions welling up due to the extreme feelings, thoughts and the pain. They just lash out at those around them, those who are caring and trying to help. When things settle and the pain and trauma has dicipated and the crisis has been overcome, they are back to being caring and loving, but in the middle of the birth they are like "get out of my way!".
I hope your daughter gets releif soon so she can feel like herself again, and that the pain is eased enough so that she can accept your support. In the meantime, hang in there, focus on the chickadees, and be good to yourself and mr Arnie.
xx Shiny

nw125, cut yourself some slack. 6 days a week would whoop anyone, after your bc treatment it will take time to adjust with the extra fatigue. Perhaps your priorities have changed and you are not as ready to give your little bit of extra energy to cleaning on your 1 day off, perhaps, very likely that is actually a very good thing. Simplify things as much as you can, and keep being gentle and generous with yourself. As one of the bunnies once said in these 400 pages, the dust WILL wait for you, so get to it when you choose and look at the big picture and don't allow unfinished housework to bring you down. Do, however, get any and all help you can with helping you get a nice comfortable living environment, you deserve that in your recovery, so spoil yourself any which way you can.
Gingerbrew, glad you got the big clean, so woth it isn't it. I never feel on to of it all, and I actually do enjoy a good clean and sort out, but I also neer get it done as I hae more important priorities, like my kids, enjoying life and taking care of my body after busy days and keeping my painful feet up on the couch after putting the kids to bed, most every night. Glad you are taking care of you.

Barbe, good point, I hadn't though of that, but that also make a whole lot of sense. You are some clever bunny you know girl. I hope Arnie sees are posts. Bless her.

Wishing you a happy Weekend.

((((((((((((((((((((bunnies)))))))))))))))))))))))))))
You're right Barbe and Shiny...they call it "medical phycosis" (sp?) I know... it's still hard to be around and watch. I haven't seen her doctor...and I've been there alot. I'm calling first thing Monday a.m. I did talk to a couple of the nurses and they stated it is the medication...
Shiny hope you're having a good "foot smushing" with dh...lol Barbe, I agree you are a "clever" bunny. Sharon thanks for the hugs! Love you all...going to take a nap...
MUAH!
-
Nice to have a psychosis to "name" it, but doesn't make it any easier.....hang in there sweetie.
-
Hope you have the sweetest bestess magical healing restorative sleep and wake up full of strengh straight down for you from heaven.
Hang in there Arnie.
hug xx
Shiny (ps: DH has 1 hand on his laptop, one hand on my tootsies giving them a goos smush!)
-
Shiny, I used to have my kids sit on my feet! AND walk up and down my spine!! Have your DH sit on your feet on the sofa, seriously!!!
-
Arne 2two, you may want to call your DD doctor now, why wait until Monday? A drug that is causing personality changes can be toxic in other ways too. The Doctor needs to know if things are going wrong.
Blessings
Ginger
