I "HATE"... but I "LOVE"... game!
Comments

I hate super-windy days... but love hearing everyone's wind-chimes ringing like crazy.
-
I hate the ugly, dirty piles of end-of-winter snow... but love that they're melting away.
-
I hate drops of wax on the floor, counter, glasses,... but I love to play with melted wax!
-
I hate the thought of depriving bees of their home... but I love beeswax candles, and honey!
-
I hate the sentence "Take care"... but I love that I am incorporating it in my daily conversations so I don't hate it so much... it does sound to me more like "You are dismissed!"
-
I hate working unpaid overtime... but I love getting the job done right!
-
I hate studying until my brains explode and nothing sticking! I love when I get lucky and a better grade than expected comes my way!
-
Oh yeah, and that commercial for the SPCA... last week I heard Sarah McLachan's "In the Arms of an Angel" on the radio while driving, and I almost had to pull over, I had such tears in my eyes.
I hate it when people are thoughtless & cruel... but I love it when people are caring & kind.
-
I HATE when my adult kids say goodbye to me with the words, "Later" or "Peace Out." I mean, really, whom do they think they're talking to? But I LOVE that last look that they give in their eyes, before they turn and walk away that says, "I love you."
-
voraciousreader: You always crack me up... how old are you kids?
I hate picking up garbage (paper cups, bottles, cans, papers, bottle caps...) from my tree belt... people are PIGS, PIGS, PIGS (well some people w/ no manners), but I love to look around and see how nicely my house stands out by just cleaning and taking care of my tree belt!
-
I hate when I grab one by mistake to clean my eyeglasses... but I love lotioned tissues.
-
Badger....I hate that my little ones are no longer little. But I love the adults that they've become. My baby is graduating college this Spring. He will be a rocket scientist AND a nuclear engineer! My daughter, a Nora Roberts voracious reader, is poised to get engaged and my oldest son is the happiest camper living on the island of Manhattan. Life is good for all of them.
-
I hate the 24-hour news media endlessly yammering... but I love knowing what's going on.
-
I hate, hate, HATE natural devastations, like Japan's massive earth quake and tsunami affecting also adjacent countries... it's so sad... am so sorry for your pain.
Love that good people will come through to help. My thoughts are with all of you.
((((((((((((((((((((((((((Hugs))))))))))))))))))))))))))
badger: How's the weather by you?
Voraciousreader: Love the description of your "little" ones... my 15 1/2 year old is printing her Resume so she may go to a huge MassMutal job fair... hey... she has to start practicing interviews for when college comes which is just "around" the corner. Can't believe that I started to come here when she was 7/8 and in 3rd grade... now is is about to turn 16 in August... AHHHHHHHHHHHHH
-
Lilia, I'm with ya - I wrote the above post before the news of the quake & tsunami hit.
Weather was nice enough the past couple days that I took an after-lunch walk. Amazing what a 15-minute break can do for you! Weather-guesser says windy & cold Sat, maybe some sprinkles and/or flurries, but better on Sun, and nicer & nicer through the week, maybe into the 50's!
I hate having the wind in my face... but I love having the wind at my back.
-
i hate the work of strapping on boots/skis etc etc but i love skiing!
-
Me too, although I prefer cross-country to downhill.
I hate the chore of scraping & waxing XC skis, but love it when I pick the right wax for conditions and go kicking right along.
-
I am already laughing because I almost can imagine your faces...
I hated peeing my panties (not anymore thanks to TVT!)...! I love peeing outside, while travelling someplace, in a secluded area, night time if possible, stars above my head and fresh air between my legs! OH the freedom!
-
LOL! just watch out for poison ivy, as happened to an unfortunate friend of mine...
I hate poison ivy... but I love ivy vines climbing up the side of an old house.
-
I hate it when I can't go to sleep ... I love it when my cat comes and lays her head on my pillow.
-
Poison ivy... yikes... never ever considered that... my pleasure is still on the fresh wind breezeeeee!
I hate, HATE, guys who were their pants all the way down to underneath their butt crack! Who da hell ever came out with that idea???? So freaking stupid! Including the fact that it does not let us check out the real goods!
But I love when I see a guy wearing his jeans the right way, like a cowboy, not like Lindsey Lohan's dad that is
!
-
I hate seeing all the junk (like cigarette butts) people have tossed on the ground throughout the winter ... but love seeing the snowbanks melt away in spring.
-
I hate, hate, HATE, my big whale pouch (no longer a kangaroo pouch... I have a whale for stomach!). I feel like a potato on top of two tooth picks!
I love the way I used to look... just about 5 years ago ;o(!
-
I hate that my oldest son has his ENT physician practically on retainer. Is this his tenth operation? I lost track. But I love that with all the terrific care he has received, he only has a mild hearing loss and this Spring will be the first Spring in a very long time that he will be able to smell the roses. Really. His latest procedure left him with terrible headaches while recovering. However he called today to tell me he finally feels great! I hate surgery. But I love when it works. A blessing.
-
Amen to that voraciousreader! Glad to read that things are looking and "smelling" better.
-
I hate to think of the suffering in Japan...but I love this example of loyalty & rescue.
-
I hate any type of cruelty towards anyone or anything... but love when the SOBs get caught and get what they deserve and than some more!
-
Here's an email that I got this morning, from a dear friend, which I think falls into the I hate...but I love category and is worth sharing:
"Yesterday I went to the park with
mom for a walk and had a flat tire. AAA came after 1 and half hour and fixed
it. we saw beautiful sunset in the mean time." -
I'm liking it VR ~ "Life is what happens when you're making other plans." John Lennon
Last night I took an evening stroll to see the special full moon. It was rising and spectacular. There was a layer of clouds at the horizon, then a clear patch of sky, then another layer of clouds.
I hated that my view of the full moon was obstructed by clouds for most of my walk... but I loved that during the time I was facing the direction of moonrise, the moon was in the clear patch of sky.

badger - Sounds sooo beautiful.
