Lynniea - prayed for your port sugery. I was awake for mine. Anesthesia makes me soooooooooo sick and they only had to use a local. So much easier than I thought it would be. I marked where my bra straps were ( I read it on here). My doctor was so surprised and delighted. He now tells other women to do this for placement. Something I taught a Japanese doctor via breastcancer.org!!!!!

Thinking of you and praying for you Lynniea, 3Jays and Meece. Mary, Jacob is beautiful, can't wait to hear the stats - congratulations grandma!

This morning i come to you, Father, to thank you for each of these women here who have been placed in my life and provide friendsip and support. There is a reason each of them has come here because everything You do has a purpose. Please be with Lynniea as she gets her port and moves closer to active treatment. May we support her and other with help through our experiences. I thank you for all the wonderful things that have occured in my life because of these women. Be with each of them as they go through today and may they have a smile in their heart knowing that You are always with them. Amen

I am having a little bit of a down day. I have been going out on intervies and just got notified that I didn't get the last one. I am going up against younger women and it is really tough.
-
Ah Meece! Canada isn't all it's cracked up to be anyway....looks alot like any US city except we don't have palm trees anywhere (I always wondered how London can pull them off...). Something is just around the corner for you!
I got the call that I didn't get the manager position at the location I wanted as they had already filled it. So I asked to be sales there. He said no, they've already hired those too! I was stumped until he said he wanted me to manage a different store that would be 1 1/2 hours away!!! He said my management skills were right off the charts in the testing and implied that they didn't want to lose me....I told him I'd think about it. I know I'm going to take it. I'm going there tomorrow afternoon to talk to the present manager.

Lynniea, 3Jays and Meece. You are in my prayers also. My little Jacob had another wonderful day. He was 7# 5 oz. and 20 1/4 inches long. He is perfect and a very healthy appetite. But life is full of ups and downs. My SIL isn't expected to make it much longer. She has stage 4 pancreatic cancer with hospice at home. I will enjoy my grandson and mourn her at her passing. Thank you all for your care and concern. I consider you all my friends--some of the best.

So sorry to hear that. I am home now and doing pretty good . I was there for 12 hours and my surgeon hat other cases. The Lord kept me safe I have a little sore throat but other wise good. I will write later

Mary- I will be praying for you and your family. Life has its bittersweet moments.

Okinawa is safe. Only a 3 meter wave on the pacific side.
-
I am a little nausea today. Could it be from the pain pills? He gave me Lortab also a rash on my BC side. Should I call the DR.
-
Dear Grace, wow, you are experiencing the tsunami, hope you stay safe. Prayers are coming your way. Lynniea, I think you would feel better if you called the onc. Prayers are coming your way, also. God bless you, both!!! Kathy
-
Kindergarten - no, I am in Ohio at the current time while I finish my BC treatment. My husband is a pastor to the US military there and I just wanted to let a certain Mom on here know that I talked to our people in Okinawa and everyone is fine.
-
Thank you, Grace!!! Prayers are coming your way for your treatment. Have a very blessed day, Kathy
-
Grace, thank you so much. When i woke up this morning, and saw the news I came right here, hoping that I would see something from you. You knew I would need the info. Thank you, Thank you, Thank ou!
Kindergaten, Grace is now back in the states but she has lots of friends in Okinawa.
Lynniea, whenever you have a question, call your onc's office. They work for you. You will feel better when you are armed with the answers.
God Bless you all.
-
Lynniea, I find that I get nauseaous if I take a pain pill and don't really need it. It's my body's way of saying, "it's okay, I can handle it." Maybe you don't need the meds anymore. Are you allergic to surgical tape? I am!!!!!!
-
I get a rash whenever I have adhessive of any type on my skin. A bandaid leaves that pattern on me. I think you got it right on the spot, barbe.
-
