You're right Mary, we have absolutely gorgeous summers (usually) so I need to be patient.  As my intelligent and patient DH tells me, I wouldn't appreciate the summers if I didn't have these awful winters. (OR something like that).  Need to go to bed.  Good Night ladies.

Sunshine and mid 80s are in the forecast for us today.  This is what I'm talking about.  For those dealing with the snow and cold weather, stay warm.

Got about 8 inches of snow yesterday, with 3 to 4 foot drifts from the wind.  Gonna try out the new snowshoes today, I think!  Currently 19.1 degrees with a brisk breeze.  Gonna be chilly today!.

at 2:00 pm eastern we have temp at 60 degrees, clear skies, and some wind. the inch of rain we got Wed and thurs has lowered the fire danger back to low from extremely high.We still need more rain to prevent another drought this summer.

I am feeling better today than I have all week. I have been fighting off a sinus infection and bronchitis. I am still coughing but now it is a productive cough.

3:50 Pacific  31 degrees.  Thus is not our kind of late Feb.  There is still snow on the ground from Thursday.  It should be 50 with the first spring flowers.

71 degrees at 7:45 pm.  It has been a gorgeous day today, we did some yard work early and then off to the grandson's t-ball game.  No grandbaby yet, maybe next week.

Shelia, I'm glad you feel better.  Suzette, just visualize sitting out on your deck with a glass of wine this summer.

NM, my sister in Syracuse got lots of snow recently, too.  She can't wait til it is done.

Well overnight we got 19/100" of rain, but no snow.  We worked in the yard until around 2:30, very nice weather despite some clouds in the sky.  Glad the weather guessers were wrong, although we had plans to travel into the mountains to visit someone, and they said to cancel because they got 6" of snow and their road were not going to be plowed.

8 am temp is 50, expecting near record highs today in the upper 70's.

I was feeling better yesterday morning, even got out the sewing machine to sew a couple of hours, but last night started feeling feverish, took temp and it was just over 100. Still coughing the deep bronchitis cough. I have been on z-pack since Wed. have one more pill to take this afternoon. I may be calling the dr tomorrow to see if he can send me another round of z-pack.

Sheila - Hope you get to feeling better real soon.  (HUGS)

It is 8:30am in deep South Texas and it is 76 degrees, partly cloudy and windy.  Supposed to get close to 90 today.  Love the winter weather here.

Wow, you are having a warm spell, Jo.  It is 7 am here and 34°, we are suppose to get up to 54° aand the chance of any rain is gone until Wednesday.  I planted seeds for peppers and tomoatoes and set them in my greenhouse yesterday.  I have peas and onions in the ground and sprouted, and I planted garlic, radish seeds, and potaotes in the ground yesterday.  I can't wait for spring.  My Asparagus has also started peeking out.

Wow!  You have been busy.  I need to get back out to my yard and dig out more of the stuff that froze and had since died.  I am going to wait a couple of moths before replanting anything.  I am just too busy with work right now.  Low to mid 80s is normal for us this time of year.  So I am taking advantage of the weather.

(((Sheila))) - hope you feel better soon.  Enjoy the warm weather as much as you can.

We're at 33 degrees, got another two inches yesterday but tonight and tomorrow we're supposed to have rain.  We may be in for some flood warnings.  Thank goodness our house sits on a hill in the middle of a field - usually keeps us very dry.

Rain is one thing we desperately need.  We are in a moderate drought right now and I hate to see what the summer will be like if we don't get any rain.  The problem here is when it rains it pours in buckets and then nothing for long periods of time.  The citrus farmers are always watching and hoping for the rain so they don't have to irrigate the fields.

35.4 degrees. Snow switching over to rain after dumping another 6 inches on us.  Accidents everywhere, including a fatal on the interstate near where I live.  Very wet, heavy stuff, going to freeze over tonight AND the wind is supposed to pick up.  Gotta remember to set the travel alarm, probably lose power over night.  Ah, winter in Maine.

NativeMainer, that sounds worse than Buffalo weather.  My daughter went to college at the UofMaine and loved it up there.  We spent a week with her in August and tried to go swimming, I don't think I have ever been in something that cold.  On the other hand your seafood is out of this world.  Be careful if you have to drive.  Karen

Shelia, I hope all went well tonight with the storms coming through.  It is 72 degrees @ 8:30pm.  Such lovely weather, but we are dealing with all the tree pollen.  Really bad, cars are now dusted in yellow.

    Chabba, great picture!

We went to a funeral today and at the graveside I had my jacket over my short sleeved dress.  I had to take the jacket off because the sun was heating the black leather up too much!  It was in the mid sixties with very few white puffy clouds.  More rain due in two days.

No snow today, no sun either.  Did have some slushy rain that took the snowpiles down a bit.  Can't wait to wear a light jacket and have the sun shine on it.

We did fine last night, mostly some wind and lots of rain. South of us had hail with the wind and rains. This morning, beautiful sunshine with temps just above freezing. the highs this week will be a rollercoaster ride. today highs in the upper 60's but by Friday high temps in the mid 40's with more rain predicted.

So glad you reported in Sheila, I was worried when I heard you were under weather warnings last night.  I heard it from you and on the news!

Karen, I think you and I have the same weather - that's how it was for us yesterday.

Mary, I would love the temps, but the tree pollen and I wouldn't get along.  I won't have to deal with that until May or June!!

Meece, Hope you get your rain and keep those temps in the 60s or higher!
