Native LOL I added your water intake. I was worried for a while.
-
NM how do the snow shoes work? Do they keep you on top of the snow? It sounds like a real workout!
-
Native- that sounds like a great workout. Someday I'll have to try it but hopefully not until next winter. I'm hoping we don't get any more snow!
-
Too funny, chabba. LOL

My3Girls
My3Girls
My3Girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We seriously need you!!!!!!!!
Those honkin road runners are runnin' right past us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have them ahead of us this week by a little measly 5.5 points.
We just need ya to show up & tell us you drank your water quotient on 6 days and we've got 'em by an entire half a point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This just goes to show how each & EVERY member of every team is needed!!!!!!
We need to get some more birdies to get the Rockin' Robins up to a fair fight.
My goodness, if we allowed them to double their points (in that they have half as many members as our other two teams) they'd be winning by a landslide this week.
Yikes. Let's not let them just double their points...... they'd be ahead by too far an advantage. LOL. We must find actual people, not just allow them double their points. LOL.
Had such a great & exhaustingly exquisite day today.
12 hours at the convention site & then 2.5 hours as super GeeGee to my WonderPeeps!
SPEAKING OF WONDER-PEEPS.............. We just got news today that our Denver family is now expecting their #4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's all hush-hush, so don't go blabbing on FB. LOL. They are so excited. That must be worth a point????
-
Congratulations, Faithie. Are they sure it's just 4th? Or, could it be 4th & 5th?
DS and FDIL and I went for a walk today. In just about one hour and fifteen minutes we walked about 5 miles! My hips and their bursitis are telling me it was real. It did feel good though. Guess that tells you are California rain/snow didn't happen today.
-
Faithie, I think I gyped myself a point. How many points per pound?
-
The snow shoes do keep me on top of the snow, even though they sink in a little bit. Have to take higher steps to clear the snow, and walk with a little bit wider stance. It's a real work out, alright, I was wearing a t-shirt and zip uo hoody over jeans and was comfortable despite the temps in the 20's. I'm getting ready to go and do it again just as soon as I get caught up on the boards!
-
Attawoman NM!
-
Half an hour of wandering in the woods on the snow shoes! So beautiful, and so much fun! Only came in because my feet were getting cold. Gotta get me some better boots. The current ones are only 4 years old. . .
-
NM - try silk sock liners. They wick moisture away and keep your feet warm for under 15 bucks, way cheaper than new boots. Lots of places carry them- REI, Cabelas, Lands End, and Winter Silks to name a few. They also sell silk glove liners, a great solution if your hands get cold.

Deborye. The way I understanding of scoring on weight.....
We get no points if you've gained since the previous Fri.
You get 1 point if you've maintained the same as last Fri.
You get 2 points if you've lost any amount of weight since last week: no matter how much -- from 2 tenths of a pound to 20 pounds. If you've "lost" you get two points.
When you reach an all time new lowest ELAB weight (no matter how much lower) you get a total of 3 points: 2 points for loss + 1 additional for all time low = 3 total points for ELAB low.
Since I thought you'd reached an ELAB low, I already have given you 3 points in that category.
Hope this makes sense. This is my understanding, anyway.

Faith - I won't be able to check in next Friday because I'm leaving for vacation. Is it Ok if I check in on Thursday night? Would I still take 3 pts. or just 1 pt.? Also, I won't be able to check in the following Friday (March 11) because I will still be on vacation. Won't be back until March 13th. I can check in then.
Hope everyone has a good week!
-
OK, so I got 2 pts.
-
Exercise three days in a row! Making progress, here - moving, moving, Debbie!
-
don23, I say if you checkin on Tursday because you absolutely cannot check in on that Friday, you get the 3 points.
-
I agree with Meece!
-
I agree with Meece and suzwes.
Good Morning
-
I am starting to try something I heard will work. I rarely eat breakfast, but on vacation I ate a good sizedone every day and still didn't gain weight. So I am going to start eating breakfast each day, and add to that my good choices and exercise, and see if I can't get this ball rolling downhill again.
-
I heard that too Meece.
What food beside eggs provides protein for breakfast.
-
I am having Special K and 2% milk.
-
I agree with Meece and Sheila - I have heard that many times. Breakfast starts the metabolism going for the day so your body burns calories more efficiently if you feed it breakfast. I find that works very well for me too.
Other protein breakfast foods are peanut butter, toast with almond butter, I frequently have raisin bran, it has 4 g of protein and fiber. Anyone else have ideas?
-
I used to eat Special K with berries.
Now i have oatmeal high fiber.
Since Im not a morning person by the time I eat it its noon time.
-
I am just not hungry until about 10 or 11, but I am going to make this effort.
-
Oatmeal is so good for you. I wish I could eat it but I just can't even swallow it, the consistency bothers me so much! I don't get hungry until later either and I get to work around 7 am but I try to force myself to eat in the morning. I haven't done that yet today, I think I'll have a few peanuts or almonds right now.
-
I will do some studying later.
Now its coffee time.
-
I have one cup of coffee around 5:30 and that's it. Fingers are crossed that this works. Theoretically it should since I already know that while on vacation I ate more meals than normal, and probably larger portions, and I didn't gain.
-
Breakfast... the most important meal of the day and yet I have a hard time eating in the am as well. Here is what I do:
I love steel oats for breakfast, filling and hearty! I have discovered a quick fix for steel oats as well: mix 1/2 cup steel oats, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup water in a glass bowl and let it sit for 20+ minutes (usually while I am getting ready). Throw in some dried cranberries/raisins and microwave for 2 - 2 1/2 minutes. Instant oatmeal with out all the crap that you find in the instant mixes. A little pat of butter and some truvia/agave and yumm! Some mornings I just throw the oats and liquid in a Tupperware container and bring to work to make there if I am running late (I have a glass bowl at the office for cooking).
On the weekend I'll make a quiche or two (different varities [spinach, peppers, onion and cheese], [Mexican w/ black beans, peppers, corn and cheese], etc...with or without crust). All you have to do is slice and heat and there you have another quick and yummy breakfast...for those of you living alone, you can make crustless mini quiches in muffin pans and make a variety at a time to freeze and heat up. perfect portion control and easy

Sound like great ideas, O2B.
-
O2B, that sounds like a great idea...do you have a website for recipes?
