-
This thread rocks!
Happy 50th Zogo. (I turned 50 last June). I've had birthdays at work and traveling last week just didn't help with food choices, although I got a lot of exercise in.
Exercise - 10 hours - 20 points
Water - only 5 days this week - 5 points
Friday check in - 3 pts.
Weight gain - 0 pts - 131
Nothing to earn extra credit for this week. SOOOO, my total for the Rockin' Robins is 28 points
-
Checking in for the hummingbirds:
Back to 140.=0 points. I'm so dissapointed.
Friday checkin: 3 points
Exercise: 5 points

No extra credits:-(
Total: 15 points
-
You haven't given up, and that's what counts.
-
Have a question
I started with 168 pound I went down 166.8.
After that i started gaining an gained total of 4 pounds.
Today I weigh 168 (not by choice).
Do I count what I lost from last week or from my beginning weight?
-
weight 2 pt
check in Friday 3 pts
Water 6 pt
Exercise 8 pt (4hours of walking)
TOTAL 19 Points
-
Sheila. I have understood that you compare this Friday's weight to last Friday's each & every week. So if you are down today from last week you earn two points. When it is an all time new low, you earn the magic THIRD point!!!! That's my understanding & the way I've been tabulating our Hummingbirds all along.
I just love Fridays and seeing how everyone is doing!!
For my personal report:
Weight up: 0 points
It's frustrating to see that I can regain what it took me 2 weeks of dedicated effort to 'lose' in 4 days on the road. I used my daughter's scale this a.m., so that may enter into the equation even further -- but it is safe to say that I weigh more today than my all time ELAB low last week.
Friday check-in: 3 points
Exercise: 7 hours = 14 points
Water: 7 points
Extra credit point: before going out to lunch with a friend, I looked up their menu on line to choose a selection based on the 'bottom line' calorie count, as deducted by their nutritionist -- rather than my magic thinking. Planning ahead = 1 point
Total = 25 points

Thanks Faith. Im a confused woman

I agree with Faith on the loss issue. (And about everything else she posts
)

Roadrunner Checking In
Friday Check In 3pts
Weight 134 lbs 2pts (down 2lbs from last week)
New E-LAB low 1pt
Exercise 14pts
Fluids 5pts
Extra Credit 1pt (see below why I feel this may apply!!)
Total 26 pts
Just to clarify - I had a stomach flu during the week which is probably why I had a weight loss, it is also the reason I didn't do so well with exercise. I actually did reach my fluid intake everyday however there were two days that it didn't stay in there long enough to be counted
. On the other hand I think an extra credit point may apply as I did follow 'the 10 minute rule' on the 2 days that I was ill-est (a little motivational tip I got on the aptly named 'Motivation' Thread - no matter what excuse you could use try to exercise for at least 10 mins everyday).
Sheila - my captain, my captain - I'll let you to adjudicate.
Meece - my esteemed leader - congratulations on the new arrival - the 5 in that second place!!!!
MaiTai - Don't be disheartened - we all know how difficult this is. As Meece said you didn't give up and that is what counts - sending you lots of cyber support
, just take control of each hour, meal, temptation as it comes along.
Love to all my fellow Éaníní (little birds) especially Team Roadrunner!!! Have a great week.
-
Way to go, Ainm. I guess I should get antoher point for hitting my E-lab low. Sure makes me feel good considering I had been on vacation and yet the following week I still made a low.
My calculations were based on my mother's scale so I double checked and yes, I am at my lowest in at least one full year!
-
Hi Ladies,
Checking in for the Hummingbirds:

Extra credit: Added a 15 minute workout with weights to my 45 minute treadmill routine = 1 Point

PS: I did shovel snow for just about 3 hours today but that goes on next week's totals.... AND it was the really heavy, wet, back breaking stuff!! I am sooo sore!
-
But Seaside, it will give you a 6 pt head start so it's all good! It's the only reason I don't mind shovelling now because it forces points on you.
Great going all.

Still can't do exercises with my arm - so nothing that works the biceps, triceps, chest or back. Waah. Legs and abs, lower back and butt - that's it. Still catching up on "stuff" so little other cardio or bouncing this week. Next week crazy - 6 days work - minimum 48 hours - probably 60. Sigh.
-
Oops, I did drink the water 6 days last week, must have forgotten to post it. Sorry.
On the other hand I just got in from trying out my Dad's old snowshoes on the 8 inches of fresh powdery snow we got yesterday and last night. It was fun! Definately a work out, even just wandering about the 2 acre property. My legs and butt are certainly feeling like they've been doing something different! I have definately got to get a pair of ski pants and some better boots, but this is the time of year to find that stuff around here. So, next week should be better on the exercise points, anyway!
-
Sounds like great exercise NM. I've got to get my butteth in gear and you're giving me inspiration.
