Chocolate Mousse! My favorite decadent dessert....mmmmm...1700 lbs of it!
And lobster...delectable. I am so glad you had a great weekend, Linniea. Last Mother's Day, my DH bought live lobsters and brought them home. I am a softie, and felt sorry for them. Somehow he killed them with running water in the bathtub, and I was glad they died that way and not screaming in boiling water. I sure wasn't thinking about their sad demise when I was eating them, though! You sound mentally prepared for your txs. I think it was so wise of you to get support here from the beginning. God bless you. Sending prayers and hugs.

thanks, my dear ladies.. life does blow right now, but we have a big God, and He is faithful. im just lookin around, looking for the faith i've misplaced here, somewhere.. its' about the size of a mustard seed.. anyone see it?? 3jays
-
-
Hi! Barbe you new look is awsome.
-
Thanks ladies! This is the haircut my DH gave me last week.
3jays, I think your "mustard seed-sized" faith is stuck in your butt! You might have to get it out yourself! heehehehehehehehhe Then, plant that see and let it grow back up to the faith you had last month! You can do it, sweetie.
-
Barbe, your DH cut your Hair!? I love it. Wow!

We have several BC sisters in New Zealand. Let's remember them in prayer that they may have been kept safe during the earthquake.
-
Prayers for NZ.
-
I was praying as I heard that on the news 1/2 hour ago!! Yikes! And the earthquake gave NO warning, it "came out of the blue"!! How scary is that?
-
Living in Ca we have earthquakes frequently, most are minor. We have been taught since early childhood what to do in the event of an earthquake, but if you don't expect (don't regularly have) one, many people wouldn't know what to do.
-
When we were in Turkey years ago (1998?) we woke up to an earthquake and thought the US government had started bombing Iraq!!! So sad to see all the damaged goods in the stores. Painted plates, glass and all sorts of handmade stuff - gone.
-
In all my years here, I have felt compelled to seek shelter from a quake only 3 times. One time, I should have, but I was concerned about the kids playing outside because I thought one had fallen into the pool (even though it was gated) because the water was splashing out of it. We live about 60 miles from a major fault in California.
-
Hi Jo! It always makes me smile to see your Raggedy Ann icon, and read your prayers and encouragement.
The New Zealand Earthquake looks devastating. I just looked at a slideshow online. I was in the epicenter of the 1994 Northridge, Ca earthquake. I lived within a half mile of the apartment complex that pancaked and killed most of the people in that quake. My apartment was deemed uninhabitable, and the city looked like a war zone. The aftershocks were so scary, and the whole experience prompted me to move to Arizona, where the earth isn't known to shake, and I lived there for 5 years before I returned.
I pray that they find every living human being buried right now in the rubble.
-
I have been praying for Rae who lives in NZ and is on another thread since I heard about this. Meece, I've almost always lived in the southeast and we have had the same kind of training since children about hurricanes, but we always knew they were coming. I've been through 3 big ones.
Barbe, I love the hair cut. I'm getting it shorter and shorter and want a real short pixie.
-
Would you please pray for my friend Connie. She is in court as I write. trying to defend herself after an appointed lawyer totally let her down and the judge refused a continuance, said it was too late. How can it be when the app lawyer did not do his work. Anyway, money talks and God knows the truth. My friend will likely lose her two youngest children to her ex husband this afternoon. It is very complicated so I wont write it all out.
Please pray for my friend who did no wrong and is about to have her heart broken. She gave up everything but her faith to take care of her children. I have been praying nearly straight through since yesterday. Please join me, her name is Connie.
Blessings
Ginger

barbe.. i'll try your suggestion and "look back" lol i love the new cut. can't believe your DH cut it! for Mur and i, it'll be 20 in april. funny, you don't notice how fast life has flown by!
JO! thats' a verse that i claim for my life verse., when i first started at my old church! i absolutley resemble that...
Ginger, am praying for Connie, wrote about it in your other post. I hope she doesn't get her heart broke today, and she leans on God no matter how it goes...
-
I have been in the situation where money talked in court, but the truth prevailed and I got primary custody of my children, with only 14% of the time to the ex. Honesty and truth can prevail, I will be praying for Connie.
-
Looks like I am the newlywed here. DH and I will be married 6 years this summer.
-
38 years this April for me and my beloved.
-
Connie is still in court after 12 hours. The father is now trying to get custrody and I think the world has gone insane if this happens. He was convicted of sexual abuse and one time held the kids at the point of a loaded cocked shotgun! I know my friend is doing her best to defend herself and tell truth. She is not a tough petrson but she loves her kids so much. Please pray some more if you will. I am so worried about her and the kids. Up against this with no lawyer.
Blessings
GInger

Dear Lord,
Please stand befoe Connie and represent her before the court with truth, justice, and protection of her beloved children. Please do not let evil prevail and the children's lives be in jeopardy. Make the weak strong and as bold as a lion, in fighting for what is just.
In Jesus' Name, Amen

Hello Ladies,
May I join your group? I have looked at a few and I think this one is a good fit. I know that God will see me through this trail. I have been divorced for 10 years. I have 4 wonderful children and 7 even more wonderful grandchildren. I live alone and the night time seems to be when the fear is worse. Breast cancer came to visit me on 1/21/11 stage 2 - 2.5 cm - 4 nodes removed none affected. First chemo tomorrow to shrink the tumor before removal. Thank you for listening.
God's wonderful blessings to all

Hi Willow I am new at this also I found out that I have BC on Feb 1 2011. I am still going through test It seems treatment will never get started. I am trusting God to get me through this or just heal me and be done. You have found a good group of ladies here. You have a voice and we will listen and no matter what it is. They are thinking I will be having Chemo first also. Either way it stinks. I will keep you in prayer that God will see you through.

Willow - Welcome to the place we would all rather not be. We all come here with fear and pain and find women who love, understand and care for us. Who can listen, give advice, support and understanding because they are standing right there in our shoes. We laugh, cry, rejoice and grieve together as fits the situation. Most important we come here to offer prayers for each other and spiritual support when our sister suffer those dark moments we all have.
