Glad you are coming Terri & Sylvia- I have not booked flights yet - still waiting to find out if there are more than 2 of us coming.
-
I just sent a message to my Sept. 08 Chemo Sisters on FB about this trip. Hopefully, some of us will be able to come. Sounds like a lot of fun! We will let you know by the 1st.

It's not just fun -- it's life-affirming! (But it is also really fun
-
FUN? I don't remember having fun
-
Me either Janncie!!
-
Fun? What is that????
Jancie - how is your arm?
-
Anniese - according to the orthopedic - it has healed. Now if only he would tell my arm the same thing! I think these weather changes are having an impact on me and the pain is pretty bad at times. However, the good news is that I went back to riding my horse - all of two times before I got a nasty sinus infection that I am fighting right now.
-
Oh and this time..............drum roll please........................... I will have a REAL ponytail!
-
Wahoo Jancie!
And re: fun - it may stay in Vegas but it did happen there
-
Lilah... Look at all your hair...... Oh how I love that our hair is all coming back......since the first 09' reunion... we all kinda looked like we had just finished our chemos... ( super short hair).. and now... three yrs later... we do not look like we ever had cancer. God Bless us all!
Sweet Ebann.... if your hair is thin this year..... we know you will wear our pink hat with FULL SISTERHOOD PRIDE! Bless you!
-
Aw thanks Laura! I've had a few hair cuts since it started growing (to get rid of chemo affected hair and get some shape going). I could use a new cut now but I hate to lose a centimeter!
Ebann -- I agree: the pink hat is so adorable on you!
-
Terri ~ Am driving in so YES I am booked!!! Are you and Sylvia coming in early and leaving late again?!?!?!? Love getting a head start on the weekend . . . .
Now that I think about it I carried around my "dancing" top in the trunk forever before taking it to the dry cleaners and it is still there ~~ better pick it up quick because September will be here before I know it.
Laura ~ Thank goodness you are going to be okay! What is the name of the chemo cream you are using??
I managed to lose 10 lbs since last Vegas trip so I only have 15 to go. Let's see, that is about 2 lbs a month. Piece of cake, celery, carrot, wahtever.
Can't wait to see everyone again!!!!! xoxo Colleen

Hope you have a blast!! -
excited reading about everyone, flights getting booked hair growing : )
Just thought I would share I'm having a hysterectomy March 2nd. They always say things happen for a reason. The gal I mentioned about a week ago found out she has to have a bilateral mastectomy March 3rd so it will work out good to be able to help mentor her through some things.
ok back to work I must go...
-
Sylvia and I are coming in on Thursday at noon. I booked my ticket through Aeroplan so I had to book early to make sure I got a seat.
Yay Colleen - Both for losing some weight and coming early! Can't wait to see you again!
Gizella, Hope to see you there on Thursday!
Bailey, sorry you can't make it this year
Sandy, Hoping you get through the hysterectomy without any issues. Will say a prayer for you on the 2nd. I had mine 12 years ago, it wasn't too bad. The first week or so was a little painful but after that it was OK. Best part was I got 12 weeks off of work - Dr's orders!
Love,
Terri
-
Laura, NO, NO, NO......NO HUSBANDS, NOT US ! We are coming in early to hopefully get in a bit of sun time and partying with the early birds!
-
Sounds like alot of us are spending some time in what I have called "MY HOSPITAL RESORT" in March. I've just spent so much time there, became a joke that with all the $$$ could've been at a resort
. Sandy, prayers sent..had a full Abdominal Hysterectomy back in 2/09-mine was interesting due to my background...but after I got home...almost as spunky as you!!
Will keep your friend in Prayers also!! Been thinking of you alot (((HUG)))
Laura you asked for it...ya all ready 219 days till VEGAS get's they 3rd visit form the TA TA'S!! WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Introducing my new addition to our family...Furbaby Katae' she was a belated Valentines from hubby & a rescue from our local HOME AT LAST
hey....speaking of losing weight...I've lost 15lbs so far. Don't have to lose more for next months surgery, but at least another 25 before September's surgery. Great Job gals...all for one & one for all!!!! LOVE & (((HUGS))) GOD BLESS 0:)
Take care Chow XOXO Susie

I also plan to arrive on Thursday. I am just waiting to see what hotel is chosen before I book my flight. I find that it is cheaper to book your flight and hotel together rather than seperately. Last year I really got a great price. I paid something like 535.00 for both and I didn't book until August!
-
Ooops, by the way I tell my husband this is a trip for sister's only... He is not invited
. He goes to Vegas every year in October with a club he belongs to so we get a vacation without one another every year!
-
Susie -- cute kitty (it IS a kitty yes?) and you look lovely!
Sandy -- so sorry to hear about the hysterectomy... here's hoping that both surgery and recovery are quick and easy!
Jennifer -- lol well it's only fair if he gets a trip so do you!
-
Sorry to say TaTas, but I won't be making the trip this year. My DD is making me a Grandmom this summer, so I will be busy with my new Grandson. I hope you all have a BLAST! Take care, Joyce
-
Hi Ta Ta Sisters!! I'm really looking forward to this trip. It is something that I never would have thought I would have done, but now wouldn't miss it.
In the meantime, I'm wondering if I can ask a favor of my favorite Ta Ta ladies that will take 5 seconds of your life. I am part of a Susan G. Komen 3 day walk team hoping to raise 250,000 this year for Breast Cancer. My team submitted a video for a contest that will award the winner 5000.00 for the charity of their choice. The winner is determined by the amount of votes they receive from now until March 2nd. I would really appreciate your help if you could go here http://www.veritymom.com/cartwheel-for-a-cause/ and vote for Video number 3. Thank you!
-
Sandy, I had a hysterectomy in early Dec. It was the easiest surgery I have ever had. It was done robotically, the DaVinci Method. A bit of bloating discomfort afterward but my pain was nothing like the breast surgeries! Good Luck!
Tracy, I'd be happy to vote for you!!! Good luck to you too!!
-
Tracy, nice video, just voted - GOOD LUCK!
Hood1980; Sorry you can't make it this year. Congratulations on the new addition to the family Grandma!
Terri
-
Hi Tracy - good video - I too just voted.
Hood Congratulations on your new addition. We are expecting our first grandchild in May - Looking forward to it too!!!
Saskie
-

-

Lilah...yes, she is a kitty
Going in tomorrow to get all my pre-op ready for March 11th surgery. Really happy to be getting this finally taken care of & no more infections in the left chest area!! YEAH!!
Take care Chow GOD BLESS
XOXO Susie
