Baby it's cold outside

Windy again today but will be 85. I will be in shorts today.
Sherry - I know what you mean about buying new clothes when the ones I have were perfectly good. In some ways, it did feel good to buy new ones as I have struggled with weight all my life. At least we can do the shorts thing in mid February.
-
Jo yes I like shorts in Feb, I have been giving my clothes to a friend of mine and she has been giving me some of hers. So I have one pair of shorts, hope she gives me more.

17.6 degrees and snowing. Just a dusting of very tiny stuff, not enough to pad the icy top of the current snow cover. I'm getting tired of this!
-
Yesterday was supposed to be sunny, but we didn't see any of it. It sort of misted during the morning but the rest of the day was definitely coat wearing weather. Spring and Summer will be here all too soon, so I guess I won't complain too much.
-
10+ inches of new snow. Working from home today as I can't get out of my driveway or off my road. I agree with NM, I'm getting tired of this! Hope it's warmer for you today Meece. Anyone else who has warm temps, enjoy them.
-
After seeing the weather report today, I won't complain about our weird weather out here. You eastren girls are putting up with horrible weather!
I think we might have some sun today, but still going to be cold, so maybe I will work on cleaning up the garage some. Watching "Cash in the Attic" today inspires me, but I don't have an auction house anywhere near.
-
Today we are supposed to get close to 70. The winds have died down somewhat but not completly gone. I am going to try to work out in the yard today and rake up some of the leaves off the bank and out of my small flower garden and spread some of the mulch from the trees I had cut down last month.
My hubby is heading to Dubois, Pennsylvania, they are expecting 3 to 6 inches of snow today. He told me once again how much he hates snow!

Only 37 here this morning with expected highs in the mid 40's but no rain predicted. Yesterday was beautiful sun but very cool, well cold for many of you.
-
All you ladies that are having to deal with the cold weather, stay inside and warm.
-
Jo I am still in my Jammies and sipping a glass of red.It snowed last night here so I am staying home today with my Kitty.
-
Oooo, Mumayan - a glass of red? That sounds heavenly. I may have to join you. Last night I opened a cab franc made in Michigan (by Mackinaw Trail Wineries), that might help warm me up!
-
Enough is enough, already.
The pic isn't going through for some reason. Sorry

We have another gorgeous day today. I, too am concerned for you mid atlantic and northeastern ladies. Very windy today. Funny how here in Florida we have many oak trees. They don't lose their leaves until about this time of year and then immediately get those pollen filled things that fall and get everywhere. My sweet DH has cleaned off the driveway 3 times and within hours, it is covered again.
We are going to see my new onc in about an hour. I'm ready to move on with soneone new on this journey. Stay warm and safe ladies.
-
Wish I could have seen the picture NM, but I think I get the "drift"
Good luck with your new onc Mary. Will be ready to hear how it goes when you get a chance.
-
Mary - Let us know how it goes with your new onc.

This guy was wonderful. An older gentleman who trained at MD Anderson. He could not get over why I did not have a hysterectomy when I was dx BRAC 2 positive, just the ooph. He also will do quarterly tumor maker blood work and yearly PET scans. It was a long visit, but I'm so glad I left Moffitt and made this change. The DH was with me and agrees it was such a good visit.
Edited to say, it was never suggested to me to have the hysterectomy. Truthfully, I had hoped they would just to get this all done. We are looking to do that in the near future.
-
It was cloudy and raining all day - no 68 degree weather as predicted.
-
My hubby has made it south of Pittsburgh in a rest area, snowing heavily again! He once again reminded me how much he hates snow!
Sheila
-
Sheila - Hope hubby can make it to his destination or at least somewhere off the road and where it is warm.
-

Just saw the news, This is a shout out for raeinnz from New Zealand. Please drop a line and let us know you, friends and family are okay.
-
Just saw the same thing about an earthquake ... please let us know if you are okay.
Woke up this morning to snow ... Sheilal I am with your husband - I hate snow.
-
Thanks Jo. He is in his semi and used the bunk heater last night to heat the cabin instead of idoling the truck to save fuel. He has another challenge, there are no fuel stops in network in that area and he is running low on fuel. He has to get his dispatcher to authorize him fueling out of network today. His dispatcher wouldn't authorize it yesterday, if he won't authorize it today DH is going over dispatcher's head to get it authorized.
There was a record high yesterday in charlotte of 75. I got out yesterday and raked some of my leaves up, just need to get them moved to the back yard and put in the pile. This morning it is about 55 with a high expected about 65.

I came here looking for our NZ ladies, too after hearing the news. I'm going to keep telling myself that power is out but they are fine and will check in ASAP when the power comes back on.
-
Alysen checked in on another thread last night. She and Rae both live about 650 miles from the quake. Said country is so small that nearly everyone has friends or relatives there so has those she is concerned about.
-
That's good to hear that Rea and others are safe.
Wierd, the television weather-guessers are saying that on Friday and Saturday snow levels may get down to the 300-400 ft elevation. We are at 425, so supposedly we could get some snow, but since the internet weather-guessers only put it at a slight chance of rain, I will blend the two and say we will get a few snow flakes which will melt before they hit the ground. But the weather is going to be cold.
-
ivtwoqit - I did not realize he was a truck driver. Hubby and I drove a truck for awhile - over the road. We had our own truck and leased on with CFI so I know about the fueling in network and the hoops he may have to jump through to get something done. I love my hubby but being that close together all the time drove me crazy. We are much better off in the job we have right now.
Hope hubby can get some fuel and safely to his destination.
-
I've been so worried about Rae. The NZ people are in my prayers.
I hope hubby gets out of Pennsylvania soon Sheila. What would this country do without our wonderful truck drivers? That's my step-dad's profession too!
14 degrees this morning. Tomorrow we're supposed to be in the mid 30s and then another nasty storm on Thursday night and Sunday night and the lovely weather guesser guesses that March won't be any better! Thanks for the positivity (is that even a word?)!
-
Gee, if they are going to be wrong most of the time anyway, why don't they try to lift our spirits?
