Baby it's cold outside

It's nicer to be on this end of the baby waiting game than on the birthing end, huh Mary?
-
Oh, absolutely, Meece. I have empathy, but no labor pains
-
No swollen ankles or hip pain either!
-
Mary ... I didn't know you were going to be a grandmother - warmest wishes for a healthy baby!
Meece ... glad you had some some sunshine and yes, we had (emphasis had) a heatwave. Today it is 26 degrees. Just when you think spring is just around the corner, Mother Nature zaps you!
Hope everyone is doing well and staying warm (or cool as the case may be).
-
16.8 degrees this am, but NO WIND! Wind chills yesterday were in the minus 30 to minus 50 range. MUCH BETTER today!
-
Sorry to say ladies but it is going to be in the low 80s the rest of the week here. Had the sandals on yesterday - felt great. Deep South Texas is back to normal winter temps.
-
-
NativeMainer - I deserved that - made me laugh!
-
I worked out in the yard yesterday fo several hours. I wore a long sleeved Tee and was hot. Today we are supposed to get rain starting today and going through Sunday. Should help the weeds grow nice and strong.
-
I have many flower beds that need my attention after the cold weather. Some froze and died. Everytime I look out the window I tell myself to get out there and get moving - maybe this weekend I will start. It will take many weekends to get it back in shape.
-
I can't tell you how fast the weeds came up while we were gone. I filled one and a hlaf 55 gallon barrels with weeds yesterday, and you can't tell. Actually, you can, I pulled the taller weeds, so the ones left are closer to the ground.
-
I know what you mean. The weeds don't need any encouragement - they just pop up on their own.
-
What's bad is that we are digging a pond, and we have piles of dirt from under the topsoil, and the piles are covered with weeds, too.
-
Blasted weeds! Get out the Roundup - that will take care of them.
-
DH says he's going to buy a torch today, and torch 'em. With the rain coming in today we can't do Round-Up this week.
-
I hear you. When you get yours done, you can always come and do mine. LOL
-
I just spent another hour out pulling weeds since it hadn't started raining yet. The wind came in hard and it started to rain sideways so I came indoors, but I still got about 4 fivwe gallon bucket loads pulled, and one area about 15 x 20 is cleared. Weeeeee
-
Meece - Take the rest of the day off - you deserve it.
-
I need a nap.
-
Meece - Sweeet dreams my friend
-
Now the trick is going to be getting back up and going, but I must have needed the rest.
-
Meece - Good for you. We have to listen to our bodies - they will tell us when it is nap time.
-
We plan to do this kind of work in our yard this weekend. My butterfly garden froze. I plan to do the pruning this weekend, but really want to be sure there is no more freezes. We have a huge dandelion bloom, Meece and I will fill up lots of bags getting rid fo them this weekend. I have been really tired since yesterday and asked my DH this morning if the week could be over already. No baby yet
-
Reached 79 today and will make it to 80 tomorrow. Finally, it is feeling like Florida again.
-
It was such a beautiful day today that it took my breath away. Life is good.
-
Yesterday was a beautiful day. It was predicted high winds and rain, but we got neither. I pulled more weeds, and DH did get the torch out. He cleared off the piles of dirt and it improved the look of the yard so much. Still some to go, but it is getting under control now.
-
Meece...i thought you were joking about the torch when I read it yesterday.
Now is 54 going to 65.
-
I was, DH wasn't.
90% chance of rain with high of 60 today, I we will be out in the weather all day. YUK!!!
-
Going to be in the low 80s today. I have the capris and sandals on. Wish I could be outside instead being stuck in my office all day.
-
working it's way up to the 40s today. Lots of melting going on, and lots of ice on the hills between me and my PCPs office where I had to go to get blood drawn this am. Yuck.
