    3jays - LOVE the picture of the cats doing the happy dance!

    Lynniea - Will certainly continue to pray!  I will say that I was such a baby during chemo!  Never thought it would end, but it did and 1 year after surgery, 7 months since end of chemo, I am doing soooooooo wonderful!  I love the following verse:

    Proverbs 21:31  The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.

    I pictured the chemo, surgery, now the herceptin, and aromasin; as the horse.  However, my trust is in the Lord - that He will heal my body using whatever He needs to use, that He will give the doctors the wisdom I need, that He has the BIG picture and knows what is best for me!!

    It was really nice.  The owner gave us the tour and we saw some gorgeous fish.  We could have had free shipping if we bought at leas five of the $100 fish.Wink  Don't know why we didn;t take him up on it.

    We enjoyed more shrimp and a nice drive around the island.  We stopped at one lookout point and saw a large pod of humpbacks playing in the ocean.

    Thank you everyone!  I love my new hair!!!!!!!!  I jumped in and had it colored by a woman that specializes in hair for chemo patients!!!!  A real blessing and now I actually like seeing my face in the mirror again!!

    Lynniea. I think the hardest part of the journey for me has been "telling" other people -- dealing with their reactions. I even chose not to tell my parents or adult daughters until I was thru radiation. All of them (parents and DDs) lived geographically at a distance & I chose to allow myself the time to assimilate the situation. Others here thought I was off my rocker, but it was the system that worked best for me.

    We each manage in our own manner.

    We're off to Orlando for the day..... my first presentation in FL since our migration down here. Today is a state conference for children with special needs, their famlies and teachers.

    Grace I think it's your glorious smile that we're all appreciating. So glad that you're feeling so much better this trip around the sun.

    Sheila ... your rose greeting is superb to start the day .. but here in India it is 10.30 PM  .. I can go to bed in good mood when seeing your rose. We should post  varieties of flowers in this thread to commomorate with the real meaning  of the thread..as we all are in a big garden... where all the members from different  caste and communities are gathered. I will post a flower grown in my tub for you all ..

    I tried to download picasa, too.  Not much luck.  Will have to trywhen I have better internet.

    Yesterday after more dr. appointments, we enjoyed spying on the green turtles, but they only popped their heads up, none on the beach.  There were flood warnings here until 10:30 am yesterday.

    No matter the rain, it is still beautiful.

    Raj, I hope you have sweet dreams. You will probably see this tomorrow. I am currently living in Tennessee, and we have had a cold spell. This was a view outside my front door a few days ago. As you can see, no flowers in sight. It was snowing tiny flakes, and the blue light was natural (no effect).

    341

    I have had a beautiful bouquet of flowers to admire inside, however. Two Thursdays ago (Feb 3rd) I had posted a single pink rose for somebody. That same afternoon, the first thing that my son said to my DH when he picked him up from school was that he wanted to go buy flowers for Mommy. So within the hour that I posted that single pink rose, a dozen pink roses came in the door for me along with fresh groceries! The flowers are still amazingly fresh, and I am hoping they will last until Valentine's Day. God has amazing ways to show you He loves you.

    My son was inspired to get me flowers because he loves Mickey and Minnie Mouse. He has a Walt Disney World calendar, and Mickey is about to surprise Minnie with flowers on February's page. He loves me to make up stories about Mickey and Minnie, and his favorite storyline that he starts is, " Mickey and Minnie got in a fight...!" then I have to invent what happened and how they made up! He is such a funny little guy. This delights him to no end.

It say's 24 hours.  I hope I can make sense of the path report.  It says Infiltrating ductal carcinoma Nottingham grade 3/3 (3+3+3).  Invasive tumor comprises the entire biopsy Tumor is associated with a dense lymphoid infiltrate.  No in situ carcinoma of definite vascular space invasion is identified.  No calcification's are seen.

    Stage II

    Stage 2 breast cancer is divided into two categories according to the size of the tumor and whether or not it has spread to the lymph nodes:
    • Stage II A Breast Cancer-the tumor is less than two centimeters(approximately an inch) and has spread up to three auxiliary underarm lymph nodes. Or, the tumor has grown bigger than two centimeters, but no larger than five centimeters (approximately two inches) and has not spread to surrounding lymph nodes.
    • Stage II B Breast Cancer- the tumor has grown to between two and five centimeters (approximately one to two inches) and has spread to up to three auxiliary underarm lymph nodes. Or, the tumor is larger than five centimeters, but has not spread to the surrounding lymph nodes.
    • -----------------------------
    • lynniea...I found this info for you.
    • If you have no nodes involvement .....You are considered  Stage II A

    Thank you, Ephie! Your words encouraged me so much that I shared that post with family and friends in emails for Valentine's Day. I have to share my little lovebug's love with everyone, because he is a source of joy.  I hope you are feeling better today. We are sick, too. It came on strong yesterday, and after a conversation on the phone last night, I completely lost my voice. I'm feeling a little better this morning.

    Linniea, you are going through a very stressful, scary part of this journey right now, and I know reading that pathology report is a very anxious moment. The terminology is new, words like "infiltrating" sound scary, and I just want you to know that as you proceed in treatment, it will give you a better sense of control. The sense of shock of it all will decrease as time goes on and you find a way to process what has happened. God is with you every step of the way, as well as us who hold you up in prayer and support.

    I am at a health care conference in DC.  It started at 8 am and went until 8 pm today and I was a tad upsed because I was missing Mass.  I ran into some people in the elevator attending another conference at this hotel (the Omni in DC) and they were at a Catholic conference of some sort.  I asked if they had a Mass this afternoon at the hotel and THEY DID!  I left one of my sessions early and was able to "crash" the Mass.  It was one of the most meaningful Masses I've been to in a long time.  The Communion song was one of my favorites but done as a spiritual (although I sang along with the tune I knew and it worked).  I thought of Matt, Meece and Lynniea as well as the rest of you as this song was sung.  God is good!

    1. Why should I feel discouraged, why should the shadows come,
      Why should my heart be lonely, and long for heav'n and home,
      When Jesus is my portion? My constant Friend is He:
      His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
      His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
      • Refrain:
        I sing because I'm happy, I sing because I'm free,
        For His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
    2. "Let not your heart be troubled," His tender word I hear,
      And resting on His goodness, I lose my doubts and fears;
      Though by the path He leadeth, but one step I may see;
      His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
      His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
    3. Whenever I am tempted, whenever clouds arise,
      When songs give place to sighing, when hope within me dies,
      I draw the closer to Him, from care He sets me free;
      His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
      His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
