I say yes, you say no, OR People are Strange

Hey Medigal~
We have a Chinese restaurant that we have gone to for years. My teenager started getting migraine headaches every time we ordered Chinese food. We spoke with the manager, who we sort of know after all this time, and he said most everything had MSG and we could "special order" any dish without it. Now they know when we place our order to make everything without MSG. They were so kind to my daughter as she gets the bright lights, headache, vomit type of migraine...it's too bad all restaurants are not this way. This one is a mom & pop establishment.

Hi E: I think Melissa is leaving us to battle this mess ourselves. I doubt anything is in the works. Our only hope is if one of our regulars has an insight about who could possibly be doing this and just posting the name. Is that against the rules? The innocent people shouldn't mind and we can find out who the guilty one or ones are by how they react. Just a suggestion. Personally I have no idea who, would be this childish, to keep doing this so I have no names to submit.
BTW, I like your new avatar. I am just angry at the Repubs right now about the Healthcare Bill. I just think they are going to really mess things up with it now. There are parts in it that we really need, and I hope won't be stifled while the Repubs play their games with it to try to show up the Dems. No concerns for the people with chronic conditions who are caught in the middle.
-
Thanks, Medigal!
I'm not sure that posting the suspects' names would do any good. They know who they are, and they're likely to delete the post anyway because it accuses them of wrongdoing. They sure do have itchy trigger fingers. Hey, here's an idea - why don't you, the deleter, go pop some bubble wrap instead? It doesn't take much brain power to do it and you do get a satisfying POP out of it.
I like my new avatar, too! I'm a registered Republican but haven't voted that was for years since they're not making sense. Trickle-down economics? Really? I guess they think we're all too stupid to see through that one!

I didn't know about "banning for life" that is just ridiculous - I hate that it happens every weekend and they purposely wait till Melissa is off but just the same BCO needs to NOT be banning for life especially when the deleters are trying to stifle free speech - it seems to me it's taking an awful long time to get the new rules up and running.
-
Seems to me that if we posted the "suspects" names we'd get deleted by the mods - I have my suspicions too but.....
-
Good idea E! I love bubble wrap and always keep some in my closet just to aggravate DP with! I think bubble wrap has put a lot of therepists out of business! I think I will go stomp on some now. He's watching his favorite program and I need to get his heart going again. Bubble wrap should do it! I knew I could count on you to put the "Snap, Crackle, Pop" back into my relationship with DP.

Well, until the site lists the people who reported a post, we'll have the Weekend Cowards forever.
-
Enjoyful:
O.K. now we need T-Shirts - Weekend Cowards it is!!!

The WCs. Also stands for Water Closets. ;-)

Just my luck! I missed the discussion about mounties and speedos. One thing did come to mind though. Now stay with me, I've never had the good fortune to visit Canada but from what you girls have said, it's pretty cold up there, right? One of those speedos is pretty tight, right? A mountie in a speedo would probably be pretty cold, right? Sure would be a nicer view if he was on a beach down here, if you know what I mean.

I have been lurking and not posting but....I can't believe how some people who tout freedom of speech and are constantly pushing USA, USA! and its "exceptionalism" are so quick to stifle others' freedom of speech. You pretend to know about other countries and religions, but really you seem like a pretty narrow-minded bunch who see danger everywhere. Maybe you should switch from tea to coffee, or better yet, maybe up your meds.
-
It must be uncomfortable to be filled with so much fear. No wonder they want to put a wall up around the country!
-
BTW the picture of the beautiful mounty with the white dog Blue posted, was from a show I just loved, It was DUE SOUTH and the gorgeous guy was Paul Gross. Drool, drool.
-
I drooled all day yesterday and have none left! Gorgeous, gorgeous man.
He's an actor? Hey, I have a "fan kit" with duct tape, baby oil, and orange traffic cones. Are you thinking what I'm thinking? ;-)
-
No Kadeeb you can't have our Mounties but we'd be pleased to share if you want to come visit.

Oh! Oh! chanellover I see you only have 4 posts listed so you must be new here. Do you really want to start off a new relationship with us with lecturing us and telling us to up our meds? Why don't you try taking whatever you take "before" you post so maybe you could be nicer to us. Maybe you should go back to lurking until you have better thoughts about this group. Then again, the great thing about us is that we like people to feel free to express themselves so express away, dear one!
BTW, thank you for reminding me it is time for my nightime meds. Could you do this every night so I won't need to depend upon all those pill containers. Thank you so much!
-
I don't remember who it was but I couldn't believe someone was using Germany as an example of how the population of a country should be contained or controlled.
-
Mounties don't really do it for me, but firefighters do! I used to teach adult ed years ago, and I will never forget a student I had who was studying to be a firefighter. He was GORGEOUS!! One day, he had to do a presentation, and while he was in front of the class, I looked around and every single female student was drooling. Their eyes were actually glazed over. If I was not his teacher and was 20 years younger....well..you know!!
-
Enjoyful:
He was on the show Due South - it played in the U.S. I think mid-p90s - still catch it on TV up here - it is hilarious, and yes, I know what you're thinking.
Sandy

Oh yeah....use that duct tape to hang a wall-sized poster, use the baby oil on our hands after handling all that paper (my hands get so dry!), and then use the traffic cones to delineate a viewing area.
I'm glad you knew what I was thinking!
-
Medigal, let me be clearer. I have no problem with an open discussion. That is why I read this thread. But, banning someone for giving her opinion is not having an open discussion. I have followed the different threads that the original poster starts, and they usually end the same way: with left-leaning posts being banned.
-
Well, so much for poor Chanellover - deleted after only four posts - yikes! Remember the old saying "when you throw a stone into a pack of dogs the hit one yelps" - I hear yelping.
-
Enjoyful, I'm with you!
Sandy, I hope to make that trip in the not too far away future. Thanks for the invite.
Medigal, or whatever you name is right now(ha, ha), you do know how to address the situation. I'm going to take my meds too.
But before I do, the delete police is on the ball. That post by chanell wasn't on the board 5 minutes and then it was gone. That means 5 IDs had to click it 5 times in the minute or so it took me to google the Due South program. This is either well organized or we have an awful lot of readers with itchy trigger fingers.
-
Well, I made my point, of should I say the the deleters made my point. My post wasn't up 5 minutes before the deleters went to work.
How do I get a deleted t-shirt?
-
Well channellover, I totally agree with you. Your post above has been deleted.
How hard is it for these cowards to stay away if they don't like this thread. Sickos.
People are strange.........he hit it right on the nose!
-
Chanellover -
For what it's worth, I liked your post and thought it correct in all respects. There was no reason to delete it.

Gee, I wish I had the forethought to copy&paste Lewing's post to share with my friends, just before it's deleted. Wow, to have ESP. Or to be so in tune with the deleters.
-
Blue, I think this is a thread they can't stay away from. It's alive and popping. Deleting is a form of frustration. If they can't handle the topics with words and a keyboard, they just destroy the opposition. It's like the "Bewitched" tv show. They just wiggle their nose and it disappears. Makes them feel powerful. They don't see the "coward" part of their actions.
-
Waving to Erica!
-
Yeah KK. Some people have ESP alright.
