-4 this morning on my way to work.  We're now up to +5 degrees with sunshine.  Tonight is supposed to be even colder with wind chills close to -20.  UGH!  Spring cannot get here soon enough but I fear we still have a good 2-3 months of cold.  On a brighter note, I'm flying to Washington DC for a week long conference on Saturday morning and it's typically much warmer there than it is here.  At this point anything above 30 degrees will be very nice.

It probably all seems much colder to you just now Suzette having had a lovely tropical holiday! Enjoy Washington DC - hope the weather IS kind to you.

Much cooler here today with heavy cloud cover.  Had showers overnight. Almost need a sweater on at the moment, its 10am - nice to have a break from the heat.

Suzette ... I'm in Ashburn, VA outside of Washington, DC and I can assure you it will be warmer here - not balmy yet - but definitely warmer than -4!

Has this been the craziest weather this winter?

Kathleen, 48 sounds really nice!  I can't wait.

We're at 10 degrees this morning with -10 wind chills.  Tonight is supposed to be much colder.

We are expecting and other 2 days of freezing temps at night and not very warm during the day.  This has been the coldest weather for deep South Texas I have ever seen.  If this keeps up, Cozumel here I come!  Winter temps there are usually around 80 degrees.

Have fun in Jamaica Mumayan and all over the Caribbean Jo.  It will be nice to be in the warmth.  You'll come back to summer like temps Jo.

I guess I'm with NM, at least there is no additional snow and we have sun.  I also need to stop complaining, apparently our record low temperature for this date was -32 in 1875, and as was pointed out, that was before central heating!

You ladies are making me jealous!! I want to go somewhere warm! It is 2 degress and snowing (again) here-no school (again). Right now the kids will be getting out June 6th or 7th instead of May 24th- the original last day.

Hello everyone, it is 56 degrees and high is to reach 70 today.  I'm hone with a migraine, but plan to sit out back this afternoon to watch the wildlife in the lake.  Going to get a touch cooler tomorrow with more rain.  I cannot imagine how you ladies can stand the cold. However, I can stand 90 - 100 heat with little problem.

I don't like either extreme but at least with cold one can layer.  Here it was 30 at 5 am, now 29 at 8:20.  Normal mid to upper 40's.

Sherry, you and I need to go south for awhile.

Mary - Hope you feel better soon.

Sherry - The wind is blowing so hard here right now out of the north.  Temp is 42 but feels like 32.  More of this tomorrow.  I hear on the local news the power companies are begging people to cut down on their energy use for the next couple of days.  They are urged folks to keep their thermostats set at 65 - 68 degrees.  Not in my house.  I stay cold enough as it is.  Crossing fingers for no power outages.
