December 2010 Rads
Comments

I posted in the November thread to see if anyone else had this, but the last two weeks of rads I was so incredible thirsty. I could not drink enough water and my overall skin became very dry. I had been trying all through rads to drink alot of water of the last two weeks could not get enough. This last up until 1 1/2 weeks post rads. Some on the November thread said it happened to them as well so just I would through it out there to you galls.
-
I didn't notice but then I was drinking more water than usual anyhow...I do wake up now wih an incredible thirt though...usually around 4am!
-
Sherry - What happened to the picture at the top? I can't see it.
-
Jo are you talking about the Christmas Wreath, it is still there.
-
Sherry - I can't see the Christmas Wreath. Might be my computer. I can't copy & paste any pictures. Will have to check it out tomorrow.
-
I don't see the wreath either...
-
me eiher...just a box with an x in it
-
hi everyone,
thanks for planning my party - no special requests, just want new skin!! :-)
i'm really saw - under 1.5 boobs the skin is raw, plus also under my arm. and the last couple of days my beck and cleavage have both started blistering - am taking pain killers and hoping it will get better quickly. and of course still using the xclair, plus an antibiotic cream on the really raw bits because the nurse is worried i'll get an infection. just want this to be over already!
i am scheduled for an oopherectomy on March 16 (my daughter's 3rd birthday), and after that i can hopefully get my life back! thanks everyone for listening to me moan...
-
Latte- hang in there...keep the areas dry yet well aloed...wear soft clothes and nothing binding and good luck!
-
Latte hang in there it will be over with very soon
-
Latte - Hang in there - it will be over soon and the healing can begin.
-
2weeks post radiation and the big square is looking good, nice and tan. No longer sore in the armpit. Just wish my body would stop feeling like a 90 y/o. My bones hurt all the time. : (
-
glad your looking tan and no sore armpit, hopefully the rest of your body will catch up and quit hurting.
-
IowaSue44, you will stop aching. Your body has been through a helluva lot and it is recovering. Think computer rebooting after a virus has run its course...it has to go in and defrag and put things back where they belong..that takes time. Glad your skin is healing. Won't be long now!
-
Sandee - I like the analogy.
-
thanks Jo...the one related to rads is video game related!
-
Can we create a video game like the old Pac Man except the ones to get eaten are all the bad ROs? Interesting to see who could get the highest score.
-
absolutely....between that and the new games out there where they zap zombies....my visuals on this cancer killing is working well! (to bad I am not good at and don't like the games myself but the images are powerful!) maybe we should create a game to blast ceancer cells and sell it and make millions
-
Not a bad idea.
-
-
i like the video games!
2 boosts to go!!! today, the nurse at the radiation clinic told me that in all the years she has worked there, she has never seen anyone with such bad burns before :-( If I do something, I try to do it well!!
-
Latte, I am hurting for you.
-
no sherry, don't hurt for me - i'm hurting enough for both of us :-)
it's actually bearable - but i can't turn my head at all which makes driving a challenge... and i have to take painkillers to sleep. but i know that it will heal up quickly after i finish tx, so i'm ok.
-
Latte, you have such a good attitude. I don't think mine was near that good when I was at the end and in pain. Keep it up.
-
Latte - hang in there, we will finish together on Wednesday!
-
Latte - Sending gentle (((HUGS)) to you. It will be all over Wed and the healing can begin. Hang in there - I can see you at the finish line and I am rooting for you.
-
thanks everyone - i know i am complaining, but it's nice to get sympathy :-)
-
Latte - You are not complaining - just letting out your feelings and this is the place to do it.
-
Latte and raincitygirl - so excited for you. You are doing a good thing with rads - increasing your chance of staying healthy. I look forward to helping you celebrate!
-
Latte...gentle hugs back to you..and sleep and lots of aloe....think of it this way...the rads are working!...blasting those friggin' cancer cells!!! Think positive and remember...two sleeps left!
