Faith ... thanks - I'm the one on the right in the back.

Its 5:00 a.m. and I have already taken a shower, washed my hair, made coffee, cleaned the litter box and fed the cat! I went to bed early last night but not that early. After 5 or 6 hours I am wide awake. Its annoying as everyone else in the family could sleep until the break of noon. Thank goodness I have you ladies or I might actually have to resort to housework.
Its 8 degrees here and cold, cold, cold. It has only been cold ... its not going to snow again simply because we got the snowblower fixed and "she's" ready to go.
Everyone stay warm and dry. I'll be back later in the day when someone is awake.
-
morning Kathleen!
My dh is in town, so exceptionally i got him to take the kids to school as i had had a particularely sleepless night. I go the kids ready, got a coffee and went back to bed to try and warm up! It hasn't worked, feet still like ice, so I am going to try a very hot shower. Take care! Hope you can catch a few zzzz later.

Morning Shiny! This will be me around 2 p.m. this afternoon.
-
Good morning Dusty Buns. It's so cold this morning, -33C~-25F. SO cold that the dogs came outside with me and immediately the old boy simply laid down (smart dog, it warms his feet somewhat) and the younger dog had her feet flying off the ground in all directions. Neither one could 'do' anything. Needless to say, it's too cold for me to be doing any housework unless the dogs decide it would be more comfortable to 'go' inside.
-
Well, here it is - 4:25 a.m. I'm done sleeping. This is annoying. It is so nice to be able to talk to you ladies!
Sharon - too funny!
Is it Spring yet?

House work, what's that??? I like the idea of giving stuff to Goodwill. I gave nine bads (yes nine) to Good will with the help of a very good friend cleaning out my closet. I also am very lucky to have a lady come in once every two weeks to help me keep my house in some order. dusting, floor washing, toilets, etc. Look around, you might find somone inexpensive to help even once a month when it comes to cleaning your house. At least the house will be dusted. As for clutter, I am a champion at that. Don't despair, it will get better. Take one day at a time.

It looks like this cat has the house all cleaned out.
-
The Honda Element is a car that supposedly you just open the doors and hose it down - do they make a house like that?
-
Found one!
-
Hey - where is everyone?
We have 4-6 inches of snow (I hate winter) but a member of my church came over to dig us out. The snow is very pretty (if you don't have to go out in it).
I don't usually have to go anywhere unless my sister is driving her 4-wheel drive. Just happened I had an appoointment with my podiatrist (long overdue). It was only raining/snowing when I left - sidewalks and streets were clear. When I left to come home it was a whole other story! My car is an old Subaru with AWD. Did not have a smidge of trouble except for other cars who appeared to be coasting. Anyway, got home safe and sound. I hate winter.
I did clear a pathway on the deck so the girls could go out. left the steps alone as I didn't feel like falling. They go out and step on top of the snow and ice and do their business right there on the deck! If my sister feels like it I will have her clear the steps. Did I mention I hate winter?
-
Wow! Your sister will clear the doggie doo? That's rich...
...or are they her dogs?....
-
Ah, just reread Kathleen, you meant shovel the steps.....
-
thinking of you, startied writing a "lemonette update" a few nights ago, and it got zapped.. grr. Anyhoo, it wasn't very interesting. And am just whooped ladies, so I will get back in a few days. DH just back now from his normal 3 nights in Italy, so best go say hellooooo. Just whooped ladies nothing too exciting. I do check up on you,but if I could right now I would go to bed before my kiddos, deeeaaaryyy me! (but i don't so don't worry!).
Will report back soon. Barbe, Kathleen, Sharron, Coonie, Faith, Arnie and all bunnies, just keep on coming in and I will catch up with you all soon.
xx xx xx peachy vibes on their way.. hope the snow melts for you Kathleen.. what I woudn't give for some of that here..I miss the snow.

Fighting cancer is difficult enough, but living with it is even tougher - and that's where the Cleaning for A Reason Foundation steps in. This nonprofit offers free professional housecleaning, and maid services to improve the lives of women undergoing treatment for cancer - any type of cancer. HOW OUR PROGRAM WORKS
-
Oh Monica, that is so sweet of you to post! But, we don't do housework here. The title is just a ruse for a lot of bunny pictures and silly stuff. But, hey, thanks!
-
Barbe ... she needs to shovel the steps and yes, they are her dogs. She came home yesterday morning from her shift and was sick - throwing up. She went to bed and as usual, I fed the dogs, let them out to go to the bathroom and kept them company. When I leave I have no idea what she is going to do. She works a 41 hour shift! They can barely hold it 5 or 6 hours.
Shiny ... I will ship our snow to you. There is definately enough to go around. Hope you are feeling better soon.
BTW, my uncle was hospitalized, again, over the weekend because of lesions in his intestines from surgery for colon cancer. His intestines get "caught up" in the lesions causing severe pain and the inability to eat. Its been a year since his last attack.
May aunt's electricity went our Wednesday night and they do not anticipate getting it back on until sometime tomorrow. They evacuated the building taking people to a shelter for a couple of nights - a friend from church came over yesterday morning and pick her up. She will spend a couple of nights with her friend. This is the building I have put in an application for an apartment. Yikes!\
You'll get a kick out of this ... because this snow was so heavy, it bent and almost uprooted some fir trees in front of my youngest sister's house. She was out with a long pole, shaking the trees, to get the snow off before any other damage was done. This happened last winter too. I can just picture little miss perfect out poking at trees!
Keep warm (or cool). Love to all the dustbunnies.
-
Kathleen, maybe a rental will come up now with the latest "hassle" at the building! You can always go back to your sisters if that happens to you, can't you?
-
I could except it is too difficult to drive any distance with my arthritis and she would be 35 miles away! That's part of the problem now, Barbe. My family is 35 to 50 miles away so I can only see them when my sister is off and willing to go over there. We live in Ashburn, Vlirginia and they live in Rockville and Damascus, Maryland. We're not even in the same state! If that happens while I live there I will go to my brothers and camp out or go to a hotel/motel.
-
Well, either way, good luck on something coming up soon!!!
-
That's it .....it is decided.
I am coming over there just to lay in the snow and make snow angels!!!!!!!!
Where I live we never have snow and just about to embark on a 4 day heatwave. So I will pack my bags now and be there by today ( since I am in the future and it is Saturday morning). Please ensure that there will be lots of hot chocolate and brownies.
See you all soon,
Love Viv
PS I just found this picture and decided that's what I need to get a good nights sleep. Unless my hot flushes melt the ice and it would be just like I wet the bed..YUCK!
-
VIvvvviest-girl-of-tomorrow.....
Even though you tell us every, single, solitary time about being on the flip side of the weather equation -- it's like a whole new concept to me every time.
Golly am I slow. LOL.
It's always so good to hear from you far-flung sisters.
((((((((((((Vivvy)))))))))))
How's your LE situation? I went to an 8 hour quilting class and am so sore I can barely type. Who'd a thunk that would have my body in an uproar?? To add insult to injury, the project is still not even done -- we're about half way thru the 2 hour project. LOLOLOL.
Slow learners, right?
We have a very accomplished teacher and she is showing us much, but the progress is very slow, as she is sharing her wealth of knowledge.
Hopefully I will be able to finish the gosh-darn thing after all of this agony today.
I've gotta be 10 to 17 years younger than every other gal in the class and I just had to cry "UNCLE" at the end, I just could NOT go another stitch further...........
got any cheese for my whining??
Love to all of our bunnies.
Hope that everyone has a nice weekend!!!
-
I have been working on the same quilt for two years. I havent been to quilting class this year because the sprained wrist turned out to be a tumor lying on a nerve and the wrist was in pain for 6 weeks. Then I wake up one Sunday and the pain is gone.... to the other arm. So I have not been able to type or sew well..... its one thing after another. I am determined to finish this thing so it doesnt have to live in a bag any more.
Sally does not have a seatbelt. It would have been worse if she did. I would not have been able to put a leg or hand out as quickly.
We got new fridges and stoves in our apartment building. They are so glaring white they make the rest of the kitchen look bad.... lol.
These are energy efficient machines and because we live in a 3 bedroom ours is bigger than the others.... and better. 18 cubic inch whirlpool with glass split shelving and a huge freezer. All the one and two bedrooms got these tiny little fridges and stoves. I feel so lucky. Everyone is complaining about their little fridges and I cant say anything because it would come off as boasting.
I have to go to the hospital once a week and Sally has been a real god-send. Though I had to be pushed onto the bus one day after a snowfall. Some helpful guy come along just as the bus driver got me onto the ramp. With his added strength I shot onto the bus and had to come to an abrupt stop or hit the front area of the bus. It made us all laugh.
-
Dreamwriter ... you made me chuckle with the "pain is gone ... to the other arm." I swear it is the truth - the pain goes away to another part of the body.
Vivvygirl ... I would gladly trade places with you. We have 8 inches of snow - you could make a great snow angel!
Yesterday my sister and I had to go to the ER as she was throwing up constantly and had become dehydrated. She took a gallon of water by IV! She is sleeping just now and I hope she feels better when she gets up. After being in the hospital for 6 hours yesterday she started throwing up again about 2 hours after we got home. It is some kind of stomach flu. Since I had not had much to eat I could not take my 600 mg of Advil and by the time we got home my hip was screaming in pain.
Faith ... you are a better woman than I am - I would not have lasted 2 hours. I've lost most of any fine finger movement so I guess clock making as a second career is out of the question. In fact I sometimes wake up with the third finger of my right hand bent over at the middle knuckle which I have to force open each morning.
-
Helloooooo Dustbunnies!!!!!!
Hope all of you are doing wondermously brilllllll...........LOL.
It's the weekend, so I hope nobody is actually DOING housework!!
Evidently not........according to this guy...........hehehe

Shiny ...
-
xxx oh Coonie, there are some brilll mums on here, you know them all, and you. We are all super bunnies, doing our best (and my best varies greatly from dad to day!!- i think my secrect is not getting too critical on myself when, as often, I don't get all I want done for DD and DH and DS, that keeps me happy and fun) Guilt IS optional, I dooo like that. I just do my best, like all my FAB Mummy Bunny friends!!
To us all!
Must dash, just sneeked in to "see how you all doing", Kathleen hug hug. Vivvi, I know what you mean.. i do not have your hot weather, but I would loooove some snow right now.
xx Shiny
-
