Cydz - It's ok to call me Don! I had a great week. I am down 1.2 lbs. since I was there two weeks ago. For me that's pretty good! You are doing great! Keep up the good work.
I'm not sure about the new program either. I have to relearn all my points if I decide to go with the new program because they have changed on some items. I think for now I will stick with what I know and maybe start the new program after the holidays!
I just noticed that we were both diagnosed at almost the same time by a few days.

Hey, Don! Oh that is funny, just the weekend separating our diagnoses!! LOL! Great weight loss!! Keep up the good work!! I am going to give the program a chance. I like to convert recipes into points and I won't be able to access the old point system any longer. It will be helpful that my family is doing it too. We can do this!!! Good luck!! btw, where do you live? I am in Phoenix. It is helpful that I can still get out walk, ride my bike, etc. I haven't been here that long, so I am amazed at what people not in the midwest do in December, lol!!
-
Cydz - sorry I haven't responded to your post. I live in the Chicago area so I don't get much outdoor exericse in. I have a treadmill and an elliptical in my basement so I use them a lot in the winter. You are lucky you can go outside and not freeze to death! I bet you're happy you live in Phoenix right now! I have gained about three pounds over the xmas holiday. Too much food and drink. But what the heck, xmas comes only once a year and three pounds isn't that bad. It could have been worse. I went back on the plan so hopeuflly I can get them off. I go to my meetings on Saturdays and they won't be open this coming Saturday because of New Years so I don't have to weight in for almost two weeks - yeah!

Hey Don! I have been out of the exercise loop as I had my prophylactic hysterectomy on Dec.10. I am almost 6 weeks out now, I think, I am losing track of time here. LOL. Anyway, I hope to get back to the gym next week. Proudly, I am a Chicago native myself! Where do you live? I am from the western suburbs, grew up in Berwyn. Have only been in Phoenix for a year, before that, we lived in Minneapolis for 17 yrs. Always wanted to get back to Chicago, but went further away instead, go figure. I was so happy our ww center was closed for two weeks! When I went back, I had only gained one pound. I am now trying really hard to get back on track, but this is the time of year that we get ALOT of company and that translates into alot to eat and drink...
Would love to hear how you are doing!

Hi Cydz - I know what you mean about being unable to exercise. I had my hyster/ooph in May and took about six weeks after to be able to work out. I just started out slow. You are so lucky that you live in Phoenix - our weather hasn't been very good of late. I am trying to get back on track too. There is a thread here on BCO.org that I have found called The E-LAB project that has a lot of support and weigh-ins every Friday. I have been participating on that thread for about two weeks. Why don't you check it out! Weight is slowing coming off. Why is is that it doesn't take much to put on pounds but takes a lot to take then off? Anyway, I haven't been at a WW meeting since before Christmas. I was thinking of maybe going on Saturday. We'll see.

Hey Don! Got your message, thanks! I will pm you when I am coming home, thinking end of Feb. Weighed in today, lost 3! I am thrilled! 8 in total now, have a long way to go, but am seeing a difference around the middle! How about you? Make it today??
Anybody else still doing weight watchers besides me and Don? -
Cydz - You are doing great in your efforts! Keep up the good work!!!!!!
I did not go to WW again this Saturday. It seems it is always snowing on Saturday mornings and I don't want to deal with driving
. I am so up and down with my weight - lose one lb. gain two, etc. I just keep trudging along with watching what I eat and I do workout on a regular basis. Maybe I am nibbling more and don't even realize it. I am trying to keep tracking every bit I put in my mouth. We'll see how this week goes for me.

Hi ladies----can I join in? I had talked about it at the beginning of the thread, but didn't get very far....LOL
But......I just joined WW last Tuesday, so I'm strictly following the plan. Our meetings are on Tuesdays and I'll be glad to see how I've done. I downloaded the WW app to my iphone, and it's so easy to keep up with points, etc. I been a member of WW before, but this new program seems like it's better for some reason. Maybe 'cause the fruits are "0" points!!!
Anyway.......hope all of you are still going. Let me know of any good recipes.
(((hugs)))

Help starting weight watchers! I lost 55 pounds on WW before after I had my boys. But just finished Taxol gained 15 on it URGH. And I am struggling a bit getting started. And I heard tomoxifin causes weight gain. I start it on the 15th. Is WW gonna work?

I think I will join this weekend any tips ladies?
-
Hi Mum---did you join yet?
I love the program. I've lost 5.2 lbs in 2 weeks.
They've got a great website and phone apps that make it alot easier these days.
It just helps me to keep a log of everything that goes in my mouth.
Good luck everybody!

Hi. I'd like to join in with those of you doing WW and exercising. I'm doing both. Never stopped exercising but that did not prevent me from gaining weight. Went back to WW 3 weeks ago. Weigh in is Tuesday. I've lost 3 pounds. Slow. I'm tired after a day that stars with exercise and then off to a full day at the office. Too tired to cook! Today I hope to plan and prep a few meals. That's my biggest battle.
Haven't been on this board in a long time. Struggling. Anniversary of diagnosis tomorrow - Happy Valentine's Day to me. Really struggling with fear of recurrence.
Did you know that Harvard did a study on breast cancer survivors and weight loss? It is HARDER for us to lose and maintain loss - THERE IS PROOF. Just in case anyone needed a crutch - LOL. I honestly try not to use the crutches but it is true.
Glad to be back here. I need it.

Hi Jan--I've joined WW's many times over the past years. I've tried others like......low carb and other fad diets. WW's seems to be the easiest for me. I don't really get hungry and NO food is off limits. Fruits are actually FREE. Good Luck!!!!
