I bet your frozen (well, of course, it's frozen in Alaska) shoulder has really impacted your fishing and ability to earn a living. Have you been able to get SSDI? You're probably against hand outs from the gov't, though. At least, they'll ship you your meds. Do they charge extra postage to Alaska?

Not again!  What a coincidence.  We have a new person on the thread who sounds like a regular trouble maker and a post gets deleted.  Rocket science ladies and gents!

edited to add, some people must have 20 email addresses.  I'm going to bed.  Totally disgusted.

I had better shut down for the night. I'm on prednisone for a bad asthma attack and it makes me quite grumpy. I need to watch what I say.

I dislike squirrels intensely.  They are basically tree rats.  But I took the pledge & had nothing to do with getting rid of one on this thread.Sealed

I, too, am disgusted. Nothing in Rocky's post was breaking any rule of BCO. The whole point of this thread is lively discussion and different opinions. I don't feel any pressing need to sway others to my somewhat conservative/libertarian view so why do other drive-by posters? Sheesh!

Blue, wishing you an easy, calm 'tune-up' today! Hugs, gal!

    Morning Barbara!

I read Rocky's post too .. nothing offensive about it!  What is offensive is people with more than one user name.  It's lying plain and simple .. making up a person with breast cancer is pretty damn low.  Obviously, alteregos have no respect for the pledge we all took when posting on this thread.

Yeah, Bren, but some people think rules don't apply to them.

mfrog, I, too, dislike squirrels but in FL we have a worse problem: gulls AKA sky rats.

So sad that these attacks continue and nothing seems to be done to shut them down.  There seems to be individuals with multiple ids and personal agendas, therefore giving them multiple opportunity to hit that "report" button.  If there was nothing in Rocky's post to violate any rules, why was it removed?  Make people accountable and post the names of the reporters.  Do what other message boards do and track the computer id and only allow one message board id from that computer.  That also gives you the opportunity to permanently block the person abusing the system.  Something needs to be done to make us feel safe expressing ourselves on these message boards.  I've been on other message boards since I was diagnosed, and we simply don't see this.  I have not been posting as much since my post was deleted, because I do not feel safe here.  That is a sad statement to make as we should feel safer here around other breast cancer survivors than anywhere else.

Blue, healing, positive thoughts coming your way for a successful "tweak" today.

Going to go find a squirrel to hug!

I like the squirrels, but what I can't stand are the moles.  They are tearing my yard up!  And it's impossible to catch them or get rid of them.  My dogs try, but mostly they just tear the yard up even more!  And the mole's stupid tunnels are dangerous to step in, very easy to turn your ankle in one of them.  Maybe I need a cat to hunt them down and kill them.

I get a lot of pleasure out of watching the squirrels at the feeder.  My Jack Russell thinks he wants to eat them up but isn't quite quick enough.  We have one we affectionately call "fat-ass", as he has grazed so much his big butt hangs off the feeder onto the porch railing.  He keeps up with the groceries and Chandler might just get a taste, of course he would probably also get his face torn up by one crazy ball of squirrel fury.

Moles are infuriating.  I had outdoor cats at my farm and still was plagued with them in certain areas of the yard.

Someone on here evidentally hates "squirrels".  Why was our poster squirrel "Wild" deleted?  I guess we still have some "rats" in our attic.  When is Melissa going to come across with the help she was supposed to provide?  We "bare feet kitchen gals" don't have lots of patience!   Where is OUR squirrel??

My father spent years trying to keep the squirrels out of the bird feeders. Then my sister gave him one of those squirrel feeders with the corn cob on it. Everyday, he'd go out and feed them peanuts. Eventually, some of them ate out of his hand. We even had an albino family - solid white with pink eyes. A tornado came through and they disappeared - he was distraught over them. Six weeks later he saw them down the street in a neighbor's yard. He was so happy that they had just relocated, but a little jealous that they didn't live in our yard anymore.

Does anyone know if we can send a PM to someone who has been deleted "by the so called community"?  I sent a PM to Wild and don't know if she can get it.  Thanks for your help!   I still want to know where Melissa is.  Maybe they deleted her.  You think??

Ladies, evidentally my PM made it to my friend.  What is happening on this thread is unconscienable and when they are through with Rocky, any one of us can be next.  They are bullies taking advantage of people trying to survive bc and that is the WORSE kind of bully I can think of.

Blue, it amazes me they are doing this on a thread "you" started to help us.  They have no mercy it seems.   I can't say any more at this time but soon this will have to come to an end.  The cowards need to be unmasked and stopped.

Two things (there would be three, but I don't want this post deleted by the secret police) --

    1) I will confess that I have eaten squirrel.  My dh cooks them with gravy in the crock pot, after which they taste like, um, ... chicken?  But I would never ever do anything bad to a squirrel that was turning around and grinning at me, or to a rabid squirrel (not sure which it is in Rocky's avatar).

    2) Blue, I hope your tune-up allows you to hit all the high notes.  But, this guy sure doesn't look like he needs a tune-up....

    Hugs to all...

The squirrels in my yard eat all the red tulips. They don't eat the white or purple ones, or the yellow daffodils, just the red tulips. I should point out that this is Canada where red in politics is used by the Liberals while the Conservatives use blue, which makes it ever so complicated to follow US  politics.

Hahaha on your picky squirrels. The ones in my yard love tulips of all colors. And crocuses. And tomatoes. I love the squirrels who post here; maybe I should get little computers for the ones around me, and encourage them to go online and leave my garden alone.

Totally agree on the sockpuppet issue. Especially on a board like this, where we're all dealing with a terrible disease, it's profoundly disrespectful when certain posters adopt multiple identities. Or repost stories they find on the Internet without attribution and pretend they're their own stories. These things totally undercut the goals of the community.

Sort of reminds me of kids picking up the phone and dialing random numbers in the middle of the night and asking "Is your refrigerator running?  Well, go catch it".  How childish is that?  I thought this forum was for grown-ups........
