Yes -  I was/am not a big meat eater but craved meat when on chemo. Very little food had any taste but meat did!

I was one lb less at my onco's office yesterday.  It might be a fluke because I have not been good at this eating thing.  I did play Just Dance 2 on our Wii last night.  It was fun!  :)

Hi ladies, I'm just heading out of town to a work conference so I'm afraid I won't be able to do much exercise for the next few days but I'm hoping the food is somewhat healthy at the hotel.  It's the Four Seasons so I know it'll be tasty but low fat is another story.  I'll check back in when I return.

Sugar:  I have excercises that I memorized so that if the TV isn't available, or the weather is bad or I am feeling a bit lazy, I can at least get these in.  How fun that you get to travel for work!

I was able to work out 4 times this week and did a short 2 mile walk yesterday.  Not weighin myself because I know I haven't lost a pound.

Kittycat:  Yay for a pound!!!  The Dance Wii sounds fun!  I only have the regular workouts (Yoga, Strengthening, etc) and some Sports stuff.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Hubbin and I are going to look at gym's today. And FYI. I learned that 500 cc's ="s 1 lb in my TE. So technically... .62 lbs is all boob. Hah.

Ladies, I found two great new "food" items that are a bit "healthier" for us TN's.  One is an organic coconut ice cream sweetened only with Agave so it has a lower glycimic impact which is great!  And they are sooooo yummy.  It's called Coconut Bliss and it is soy free, gluten free, low glycemic and Vegan.  So far I have tried the coconut, best coconut ice cream I have ever had and I also got the Naked Almond Fudge.  Found it at whole foods and my local Health Food Store.  The other product is something I quit eating (their yogurt) because of the sugar content, however So Delicious now makes mini Ice Cream Sandwiches with Coconut Milk and Agave and they are only 100 caleries each which is better then the first one 240 caleries!  Yes, can you tell? It's in the 80's here!

Hi everybody.  Can't weigh in today.  I'm on vacation and the next time I will be at a gym is Wednesday.  I've been good at walking(either treadmill or beach) but not so good at eating right. But I did find a place to take 2 aerobics classes while I 'm away from home.  My implants are 650s so that should count for a few lbs!

Navymom:  I would deduct 2 pounds for that!  From what I have read re: TN's, as long as we consume lots of fruit, vegis and get in our excercise (walking is great!) losing pounds isn't as important for our health.  Enjoy your vacation!

Um... It's was freaking 16 degrees here this a.m.! Hate! MBJ... you're 1.882 lbs of pure boob. Hah!!! And that coconut sounds heavenly. My Mom swears by coconut water especially after Bikram Yoga or anything super sweaty like that. I WILL lose these 10 lbs before my exchange surgery. Grrr!

Erica:  Haha!  thanks for that!  They may need to use a little extra fat for fat grafting when they do your exchange.  So if I don't lose all of mine, at least I know my dr's will have something to work with, lol.

Actually, I forgot to weigh myself this morning also. I'm probably still at 134 (was 133 yesterday). I think I'm in the winter doldrums here. Can't figure out a good reason to be outside, other than my normal feed and muck 6 stalls routine.

I'm beginning to conclude that, realistically, the weight will come off faster when Spring rolls around and I am riding, carriage driving, and sailing more frequently. Everyone says I look "great", which is flattering of course, but not much incentive for dropping 10 pounds. I know many felt I was too skinny at 122 and my face *was* more drawn.

Somebody recently told me that when you reach 50 you have to make a choice: a good *ss or a good face. Ya can't have it both ways. I'm leaning towards face...

Tomorrow I do another Outreach program with 2&3 year olds: "Animals in Winter" It's a fun course to teach. Then, in the afternoon, I go to the Orthopedist to find out what's going to be done with the MRI results I got last week on my knee (torn miniscus). If it's surgery I'll be laid up for a month or so anyway.

Heidi..you are correct on the face and *ss...If you are too skinny it makes your face look like an old woman...We need a little fat.don't like that word fat but whatever on our faces..too skinny and you get wrinkles..

As far as the A*'ss. goes..I have the no assatall disease...

MGJ...35 degrees is warm here for January..I ran the 2 miles and it felt good! Didn't even breathe hard..probably should have run more..I was feeling it...

Titan- I don't have much in the butt region either. In fact, when I lost weight a few years ago it took me awhile to figure out why I was getting butt fatigue so often.... I'd lost all the padding! I've put 10 pounds back on since then but it's mostly around the middle. Oddly enough, I still have a flat stomach; my mom always told me to hold it in, so it's second nature to me and I do it automatically.

I don't want to talk about what chemo did to my face or my a$$, lol!

Got on the Wii scale today and it didn't budge at 154.  Darn.

Damn--- need knee surgery. Figured it was going to have to happen, but now I just want to get it done and over with so I'm back in shape for sailing/driving/riding.

Heidi:  So sorry to hear this!  I found out I have something major going on with my right ankle and I am afraid to go in because I don't want surgery either.  Hugs!

MBJ- funny, I was just the opposite. I *wanted* to confirm what was going on (already suspected it was a torn meniscus) so I could get it fixed and be ready for spring w/out being laid up.

Heidi..maybe we should extend the weight loss until maybe April???...these things take time...plus we are having fun with this so let's not end it too soon..takes a while to adjust to new eating habits and exercising more...and exercising takes some extra effort in the winter when all you want to go is go home and make comfort food!
