American Idol Season 9

Sometimes I think it works out better to come in second or come close and not win. Look at Clay Aiken and Jennifer Hudson! Either way they are all winners. I'm sure we'll see someting come out from Casey, too.
-
Chris Daughtry is another contestant who did not win but has done really well.
-
Wow, Lee won! Is anyone else surprised by that! I love Lee but absolutely thought Crystal was gonna take it -- they both are incredible talents.
-
In the end I was surprised because I thought Crystal sang better this week. I'm happy with Lee winning but I don't particularly like the way he sings the U2 song that he'll be releasing.
...now on to The Bachelorette!
-
Wasn't quite sure last night who I wanted to win, but in the end I was glad it was Lee. Both of them have a great music career ahead of them. I really enjoyed seeing Paula back. It just isn't the same without her. Next year will be interesting without Paula and Simon.

I just got tickets for the Idol Top 10 Tour. It is in Hamilton, ON on July 5th I think, It is the Monday night anyway. My 9 year old loved the show and was absolutely thrilled we would see the show. My husband and I will take our three youngest. It is one week after a chemo treatment and I am assuming I will stay on schedule and feel good. it is awful to have to always plan around good weeks and good days!
-
Marcy - I should check into that, too, as I live not too far from Hamilton. Did you get through Ticketmaster?
-
Marcy4 I was just saying the other day how awesome it would be to see the Idols perform live. Lucky you and Sugar77, if she gets tickets, too. You'll have to post again after the show and let me know how it was.
-
just watched Lee and Crystal on the "Ellen" show---they were both excellent. Tried to get some of those $20 tickets before they ran out at 10 pm (last night), but couldn't get thru by phone or computer. The regular tickets (after fees and parking) here are about $70, but the place has awful acoustics so we're not going. I'll probably end up buying the CD anyway, as well as Crystal's CD too.

I went onto the American Idol home page and then followed the links to get the tickets. It was through ticketmaster. I got in on the $20 tickets. There were $30 with the extra charges. So about $150. I was also able to great seats as well. The $20 tickets were for 24 hours so I don't know what the price would be now. It was just a spur of the moment thing, but I am really looking forward to it.
-
Marcy - I checked this morning and it was going to be almost $200.00 for two tickets so I didn't buy them. That's wonderful that you got them for $20.00. I know my 10-year-old would have loved to go but it was just going to be too expensive. Enjoy the show!
-
They will be performing in NY too. Tickets are very expensive. And if you want a good seat they are really too high. I remember last year American Idol.com or you-tube covered some songs from the concert from Oregon. Its better than nothing.
-
Went to Adam Lambert's concert 2 nights ago----Alison Ireheta was his warm-up singer--they were both incredible! Alison looked like she had lost a lot of weight and Adam was as flamboyant as always with over the top costumes!

Going to the Season 9 concert in Indianapolis next Tuesday ...looking forward to it. Saw the Season 7 group 2 years ago & as good as they were on TV, in person they were awesome. Jason Castro was my favorite that year. Last season was a wonderful diversion when going through surgery and chemo. Wonder what this season will be like without Simon ??
-
Season 7 was with 2 Davids right? That was one of the best AI season ever. The contestant had personality . I cried couple times when David Cook was pronounced AI and he couldn't talk because he got so emotional.
Jason Castros Hallelujah was beautiful.
My favorite show from day one.
-
David Archuleta is singing tonight on Fox's New Year special--I think it starts at 11:00.

Starts Wednesday, can't wait to see what it will be like with the new judges.....
-
I didn't think I would like it this year with the new judges, but it's really good! Both Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez are good judges of musical talent, but not mean like Simon was! There's a lot of good singers this year, it's gonna be another hard choice.

I'm also really liking the judges this year. I wasn't sure if I would but surprisingly I do.
