lump in forearm?

Hi all,

Yesterday a lump showed up on underside of forearm.  Feeling of it reminds me so much of finding the breast lumps 6 years ago. Internet search makes me think it could be a lipoma.  But some of those are cancerous.. so I've got to get this checked out.  Anyone else ever had one of these?  Treatment?  Excision?  In my opinion all lumps belong in a jar... anyhow... what scares me is that one day it was not there and just yesterday it appeared-- just like that!  I hate that stuff like this has to come around to scare us!

Wishing you all well on this Thanksgiving holiday,

Wendy

I had three lumps show up on my arm out of nowhere. Had ultrasound, which showed the lumps but deemed them to be non-significant - whatever that means. They were not blood clots, lipoma's or cancer. It took a couple of months but they eventually disappeared on their own. My doctor did nothing with them. Hope this helps.

I had one on my arm and one on my leg (at two different times) both took a while to go away on their own but eventually did.  I have no idea what either of them were but they are gone.

I also have a lump in my tongue that comes and goes

My husband has one. It's in his for arm-its round, moveable, and a bit rubbery. He had stage 3  colon cancer 12 years ago and got this about 5 years ago. The doc felt it and said it was nothing. he has had it for years now.

I have had lipomas removed in the past, some big, some small.  They always look like chicken fat (gross, sorry) and are benign.  I'm sure your doc can tell if it's something to worry about.

    Take care,

    Sharon

thanks all... I'm going to get it checked out real soon... but from internet search seems like probably B9.  Makes me feel weird that my body can suddenly grow lumps.  My breast lumps became suddenly noticeable too and with similar feel to them.  That's what made me so scared.

I'm not really scared of it but want to get the "all clear."

Great to hear from you all.  Pure, I saw that baby has grown and so thankful that all is well with you too.  I prayed for you so much last year...  and will continue to pray for all my sisters here!  Thanks to the other ladies who posted too-- glad to  meet you.

    Hey Sherry,

Good to hear from you...another person from early 'o5.  Hard to believe it's 6 years ago.  I have to get time from my new job to get this darn lump checked out.  As you know.. they will probably send me for all kinds of tests.. nothing simple after having had cancer.  I had poison ivy one summer and they took all kinds of tests thinking I had skin mets.  Oh well sigh... I'll just be thankful to find out it's something hopefully benign.

I have one now and now I am scared. I found it the day after I was dx with bc. The general surgeon said he didn't think it was cancer but sent me to an orthopedic dr. He did a regular xray and nothing showed up. He said we could look at it after the cancer tx. Now it feels bigger. Sometimes it aches. I go to the BC surgeon this month so I will ask her about it.

HI. I'll be thinking of you.  I hope they will just take yours and mine right out so we won't have to worry.  I go in next Thursday -- on my birthday---ughh!  But, I'm happy to get a year older!  Almost 6 years out from dx.

Just read a great book by Nancy Brinker founder of Susan Komen Foundation... inspiring.

Well, have a good night everyone,

    Wendy

    HI all,

The lump pretty much went away a few days before MD appointment. I could still palpate it but MD couldn't really feel it.  She had gloves on though.  She then palpates supraclavicular nodes and thought she felt some enlarged nodes in this area.  I personally feel like they are the same on right and left sides and no different than usual.  Again, she had gloves on.  Well, long story made short, she's sending me for MRI and blood tests and all that.  Whatever.... sigh... I guess it'll be good to find out that ( hopefully ) still dancing with NED.

HI. Thanks so much.  It's been a very tough week as my mother in law passed away --what a wonderful lady she was... live to be 93 and was pretty healthy until recently.  I have MRI on Dec 22.  I go in for blood work tomorrow.  Thanks for praying... really appreciate that so much.  I found out that my mother in law had prayed for me every day since my diagnosis -- almost 6 years ago!  I shared that at the wake.  She'll be missed.  I'll let you know what I find out.  I've not had any cancer marker blood tests that I know of in 6 years. This is my new family doctor-- I maybe should have gone to the oncologist with all this but he takes a while to get in to see.

    Thanks again,

    Wendy

    Hii Wendy,

My condolences on the loss of your mother In law.

I am just reading all that has been going on with you. I will keep you in my prayers that all is B9. it does sound to me that your doc is being super careful. I had a scare too recently , which turned  out to be nothing. Still is scary, when you get send for those darn scans!

I think with our hx, the Docs just want to " make sure"

Let us know when you get the " Alls Clear"

    Hi all,

Just got the "all clear" today.  Hate those scares!  Thanks Linda for posting... glad yours turned out well too.  The lump in my arm totally disappeared so they figure it was some kind of fluid filled cyst.

Thanks for all the support!  I'm pulling for you all too.  Have a wonderful holiday.

    blessings,

    Wendy from snowy northern WI

Hi, the subject of this post caught my attention.... I WISH I were like the rest of you and found 1 or 2 lumps, fact is, I have MANY,  MANY lumps all over. I was told by several Dr's that they are simply fatty deposits and nothing to worry about. So I dont. Mine never disappear, but I was told they could grow and shrink when I gain or loose weight.

When I had my breast untrasound, the Radiologist came in and congratulated me for having the most cysts he has ever seen in breasts.  I think there were over 100 cysts in my breasts. Guess Im just prone to lumps. Frown
