Thinking Out Loud.....

Its not just the kids....
The father of my children was 33 when he left. The next time I saw him he had one pierced ear with a diamond and a big bird (cant remember the name now they are very colorful) on his shoulder he walked in to pick up the kids.
Of course the wings were trimmed or cut?????? so he couldn't fly.
Knowing how terrified I was he takes it off his shoulder and puts it right next to me, just to torture and that evil smile.
Merry Christmas All.

Sheila - the father of your children had a parrot? Had he decided he wanted to be a pirate?
Oh, my aching back. I worked hard this afternoon. And now I have to get back to it tonight to make up for slacking last night. If I can keep it up, the *?!*ing doors will be done tomorrow night. But then there is the trim... One day it will be done.
-
Yes chris parrot. i don't know what I'm gonna do with this not remembering anything.
Careful with your back. as long as its achy and going away is fine but don't let it become a chronic issue. And things will be done don't worry too much.
-
I can't remember anything either. My poor DD had a Christmas party in Biology club yesterday that she was looking forward to. She loves the Biology teacher. But she had a doctor appointment that I scheduled a couple of months ago. It was on the calendar, but do you think my stupid brain could make the connection between the dr. appointment and the party and realize there was a conflict? No. Not until the day before. And of course, my DD didn't make the connection either - but that's because she doesn't pay attention to these things. I used to be so on top of everything. Now I can't keep anything straight.

Haven't read posts, sorry. Internet keeps going out! I hate that. Just wanted to say hello!
-
my internet was out today because of the weather, too. So sorry for your SIL, Deb. I will add her to my prayers.
Emotionally drained today and slept for two hours this afternoon. We made the trip to Utah in a 36 hour round trip then the Memorial service was yesterday. I told DH I thought everyone would improve their behavior since they would be around people they knew and would want to look good. WRONG!!! Poor, poor DH.
-
Meece...Why they have so much hate towards him?
-
Because before I married him, he would do anything for them not matter what. That includes taking a second mortgage out on our house because his daughter wanted a bigger wedding. His kids played the "child of divorce" card. And DH tried everyting to make them stop making him feel guilty. DH's Ex had an affair with his best friend and that is what ended the marriage. DH got custody of the kids and his ex continued having affairs. They finally divorced after 5 years but the kids kept playing him.
After we were engaged his kids turned on him because in his DD's words, she didn't want to have share "stuff". Meaning money.
DH's mother took her side, and they have spread horrible stories throughout the family.
-
I would sit in the livingroom and have to listen to MIL extoll the praises of Ex, "She just had that one little problem". Watching DH get hurt time and time again, so I refused to go there anymore.
Ex is allowed to come to ALL family dinners and events. I choose not to be around someone who ultimately cause pain in my life because she is a reminder of what she did, and a reminder tht someone you love can betray you. DH will always have that in his mind.
-
So sorry Meece. You should have to go through that. I have a similar relationship with my DH's father. His latestest wife is the same age as my DH. Yuck!
-
Sorry Meece. So many dysfunctional families around us.
I always thought the younger generation (his kids) will be more understanding of everything.
Hugs
-
They started out using guilt as a tool to get "things" and with me in his life, DH couldn't as freely do that. His DD went so far as to say that DH made her mother have an affair because he was working too much (To pay for a house that DD and Ex picked out because it was in the nicest part of town). I hope SIL is as understanding when she does the same.
-
Sorry for all that Meece - I know it sucks. My wonderful FIL (who I really do adore) had affairs and hurt his family terribly - it has caused a lifelong family split.
I find the younger generation is much harsher and more judgemental than we ever were...I guess they are the product of my generation's Woodstock/free love behavior?
-
Hey Diane how was #2 today?
-
It was good, if that is an appropriate way to describe rads
Warm blankies, super nice gals, a quick meetup with the nurse because they got my Ki-67 back and thankfully it was low and confirms the luminal A status as well as sort of validates my decision regarding stopping chemo. 33 to go. Ordering aquafor from amazon tonight. I will just keep asking for samples till it comes.
I am hoping to be able to continue working out with the trainer - he had no mercy today, no sympathy at all. So wiped out from that.
-
Sheila - are you feeling better?
Linda - do you have particularly bad weather? Power outages?
Deb - the same question.
-
LOL I know I thought about that #2 hahahahaha
During radiation please dont do heavy stuff the ribs will become very sensitive.
Well my nose feels like cardboard. No taste and full faucet todat is day 3 tomorrow should stop.
i got samples too but you need more than that.
-
I found that Zicam really does cut down on the length of the cold.
-
Meece...i cant take those because they will raise my BP except the swab.
there is one i can take but i forgot the name now. i think it starts with the letter C
-
Wow, I didn't know they could do that. I take the melt-a-ways at the first sign of a cold, and it takes it down to about one day of bad symptoms.
-
Coricidine is the one i just googled it.
My BP is low but I take pills for it.
-
Meece this is the link.
-
I used to take that but it made me feel wierd, kind of in and out of sleepiness.
-
I didnt take any cold remedies for at least 25 years now.
I took some Advil. and drank a lot of cranberry juice.
-
I just am horrible about remembering to take meds.
-
I have a pill box.
