Morning Prayer

A Morning Prayer

When I arise in the morn
I feel a deep urge to pray
I ask God for His blessing
upon a brand new day

He lifts me up and gives me strength
to walk in all His ways
Long to do what He asks of me
and be a humble servant who obeys

He covers me with His feathers
and fills me with His peace
The joy that envelops me
rapidly seems to increase

When I'm down on my knees
and as I bow my head to pray
He draws me in His presence
it's there throughout the day

As I speak to Him in prayer
I truly know that He hears
The heaviness is lifted
my eyes are swelled with tears

Aw, when I spent time with Him
sweet peace there I find
My thoughts are being renewed
and sweet thoughts fill my mind

In the pure, strong hours of the morning when the soul of the day is at its best, lean upon the windowsill of God and look into His face, and get the orders for the day. Then go out into the day with the sense of a Hand upon your shoulder...

Today I ask for just a moment...

Each day we seek guidance, protection and comfort for our friends and families.

Each day we search for happiness.

But today...

I ask that you pray.

Pray for strength
Pray for understanding
Pray for health, joy or serenity
Pray for peace or pray for victory

But most importantly...

Stand beside me today
and pray for an answer.

An answer to save lives
An answer to put an end to the anger and violence
An answer to comfort the hearts of so many in pain.

For without an answer,

more lives will be lost,
more tears will be shed
and we will not find peace.

sometimes....

I cannot tell you, " I know how you feel"
I have not been where you are...
But sometimes it is ok to walk by faith....
and not by sight...
Sometimes it is ok to ask why....
even if we get no immediate answer.....
Sometimes it is ok to wonder.....
how others lives can seem so normal....
when ours have been ripped apart...
Sometimes it is ok to wonder where we failed...
where we went wrong...
Sometimes it is ok to ask God,
"Please don;t let me go crazy."
Sometimes it is ok to be hurt...
and Lonely....
and sleepless...
and sad...
and mad....
Sometimes it is ok to look for someone to blame...
and to blame yourself...
or even to blame God....
But those sometimes won't last forever....
The Great Healer will begin to put you back together!!!! AMEN!
never the same...But complete in his love....
Then he will lead you to others that need to know...
about the "SOMETIMES"

Pause for a moment and give thanks, let your heart awaken to the transforming power of gratefulness. Be open to exchanging your need for emotional security for serenity.No trumpets sound when the important decisions of our life are made . Destiny is made known silently . God be with you .

A - Means all the Awesome powers our Lord has from above.
N - Stands for His Never ending patience and His Love.
K - Is for the Kindness and forgiveness He has shown.
S - Stands for the Sweetest gift of love we've ever known.
G - Means the Amazing Grace that God bestowed on me.
I - Says I can't imagine, without His love, just where I'd be.
V - Is for (Victory in Jesus), just like that song of old.
I - Means I'll do my best, to lead lost sheep into His fold.
N - Is for the nails driven through our Savior's hands.
G - Stands for God's Greatest Gift, His Son's life for mortal man.

Is this one to be?

As I go through any day,

How do I seem
To those that I greet?
Will they find a Christian,
As we meet ...

One who is always
Willing to share,
So that they would know
That I do truly care?
Or, would they be told,
"Oh, just go away!",
For I am too busy
To do for you today?

Rather, Lord, I pray that
I would have said,
"I will make the time
to help," instead.

As I lay down,
At the close of the day,
And if you were to listen,

Dearest Father above,

I wake each morning with a smile
Because you’re there to guide me.
I know your love is pure and strong
I know you’re always beside me.

You’re always there to gently whisper
Or nudge with sincere encouragement
You’re there to remind me of my strengths
And uplift through any discouragement.

Just close your eyes and open your heart,
and feel your worries and cares depart.
Just yield yourself to the Father above,
and let him hold you secure in his love.

For life on earth grows more involved,
with endless problems that can't be solved,
But God only asks us to do our best,
then He will take over and finish the rest.

So when you are tired, discouraged and blue,
there is always one door that is open to you,
And that is the door to the House of Prayer,
and you'll find God waiting to meet you there.

And the House of Prayer is no further away,
than the quiet spot where you kneel and pray.
For the heart is a temple when God is there
as we place ourselves in His loving care.

And He hears every prayer and answers each one
when we pray in His name "Thy will be done".
The burdens that seemed too heavy to bear
Are lifted away on the wings of a prayer.

In unforeseen events, let me not forget that all are sent by you. Teach me to act firmly and wisely, without embittering and embarrassing others. Trusting In His Commands

"Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him;
and he shall bring it to pass." Psalm 37:5


He never promised things would be perfect
Or always go as we plan,
But He did promise to always be with us,
And always lead as we hold his guiding hand.

There is no other who knows the way leading home,
We can trust him whatever He may say or do,
If we follow on we are never alone,
He is a friend who is always faithful and true.

The reasons why things happen in this life
Are not always explained,
But He is still Lord and Savior,
And his word will always endure and be the same.

If you follow on in his truth and light,
You can know the path will be safe from all harm,
He will go before you in the darkest night,
As you keep leaning upon his strong and everlasting arms.

There are so many people
who imagine the day when they
set foot inside heaven's door.


For they're saving up questions
from their days here on earth so
they can finally ask Him "what for?"


They're waiting to ask Him why
one painful thing or another
even had to take place at all.


Or why He allowed all the obstacles
& problems of life which
caused them to stumble and fall.


Now, I haven't yet been
inside heaven's gate
- but I've got a theory
which I think is true.


I think before we can even

He's got a presentation He'll do.

to show all the blessings
our eyes didn't see.


All the problems He fixed...
where we had no knowledge
a problem was
even coming to be.


For every obstacle we faced
while running this race
He'll show so many
that He held at bay.


And He'll show us the issues
we never had to deal with
because of mountains moved
out of the way.

less than speechless
when He reveals our lives
by His grand display.

Thank You Father God, for Your Love,
For Your blessings of another day,

When all seems hopeless,
And Life has failed us,
Things aren't easy,
But giving up in not the way,

We turn to the God of our salvation,
We cry out to our Lord,
And we know that our God,

And each of us has our own,
A burden, a trial, a challenge
Life has given us things to make us strong.

I know a God who is with us

For we have faced this life with our Savior
And found refuge in his embrace.

Maybe you are feeling low
and have seen no peace in sight.
Reach out to the God of all creation
And know that he is the answer that you seek.

Learn to seek him this day.

Just close your eyes and open your heart,
and feel your worries and cares depart.
Just yield yourself to the Father above,

For life on earth grows more involved,
with endless problems that can't be solved,
But God only asks us to do our best,
then He will take over and finish the rest.

So when you are tired, discouraged and blue,
there is always one door that is open to you,
And that is the door to the House of Prayer,
and you'll find God waiting to meet you there.

And the House of Prayer is no further away,
than the quiet spot where you kneel and pray.
For the heart is a temple when God is there
as we place ourselves in His loving care.

And He hears every prayer and answers each one
when we pray in His name "Thy will be done".
The burdens that seemed too heavy to bear
Are lifted away on the wings of a prayer.
