I am so sorry to hear about your diagnosis at such a young age. I am 33 myself and I feel way too young to be going through all of this and way too young to feel so deprived of the future.

Regarding your chemo, make sure you get a third generation regime that incorporates taxanes. Make also sure to get it as long as possible and try to get Zometa afterwards, which is a drug that can help to prevent bone metastasis. Regarding the side effects, they are different for everyone. I had TAC chemo (six times every three weeks) and I got along quite well.

If you want to see your prognisis, you can use adjuvant online to get a number. But don't rush there. Maybe it is more difficult to live with the knowledge of the prognosis than without. Ever since I know my numbers, I recalculate them in order to incorporate risk factors not included - like LVI or ki 67 etc - and it makes life much more difficult because I arrive at less and less encouraging numbers. In retrospect, I think it is better not to get started at all, although I couldn't believe it beforehand.

    Keep strong.

Please correct me if I am wrong but w/ more advanced stages of Tri-neg chemo is started before surgery to see if chemo would shrink the tumor first to get the desired outcome (healthy again :)...

     Hope this helps...sending hugs!

That is a good question. I think you would have to ask your doctor. Are you having symptoms?

I had progression of my disease in my breast and nodes (so far) while on neoadjuvant chemo, as my cancer figured it out at the end. It isn't common, but it does happen. Please talk to your doctor ASAP if you think you are having any symptoms!

Aroma3k...you may want to post your questions on the triple negative forum. People on that forum would have treatments similar to you.
